This company was great from start to finish. They came up with the design change to move the sink to the corner which gave us more countertop room. They installed a "box" behind our dual fuel range to hold the gas line AND electrical cords. They moved the laundry door over one inch (at no extra charge) so that we could upgrade from a 12 inch cabinet to a 15 inch cabinet. They bought and installed a faucet well for the laundry faucets. That item was not in the contract and there was no charge. The workers were on time, courteous and efficient. We used this company again for cabinets in basement sewing room.

It went very well. I went to their showroom on Manchester Road and looked at all options available Upon making my decision they came to my home and measured and then ordered everything I wanted. When everything was in they promptly came out and installed everything and did a wonderful job! They had the best prices.

We continue to be very happy with this firm. After they did such a great job on our master bath remodel earlier this year, we hired them to tear out and replace an old laminate countertop in our upstairs living room/office. The countertop is long -- about 15 feet -- and also included an island that required reinforcement to properly secure and hold the heavier quartz counter top. Jim, the owner, did a great job of measuring and ensuring the proper supports were built. He also is very professional and communicates well/timely. Tony, the carpenter, was very thorough in tearing out the old top, ensuring the cabinets were perfectly level for the new top, and building the extra support braces. He also returned after the counter top was installed to caulk all the way around it and prepare the wall behind the top for painting (the new top was thinner than the old top). Overall, we are extremely pleased with this firm and would highly recommend them.

We are extremely pleased with Gateway Kitchen and Bath and highly recommend them to others. The owner, James Scarfino, is great and provided hands-on service in helping us finalize our design options and various finish choices. The demolition and build process, led by Tony, was excellent with great attention to detail. The project was completed in a timely manner and communications with Tony and the office staff were excellent. We got exactly what we designed at a fair price. We would definitely use them again and may do so next year when we renovate the kids' bath.

It went well. Everything fit well and looks great. We really like it partly because we spent months picking out what we wanted and what colors of multiple items, shopping for all the different types of fixtures, etc. Because we took the time, we are pleased with every decision we made. Jim, the manager at Gateway, was easy to deal with. Don, the foreman on the project was excellent. He did practically all the work (outside of the plumber and electrician). He was a perfectionist, which was very pleasing to us. He wanted everything exactly right, and asked us every time their was a decision to make, so that it would be just what we wanted. We're very happy with our new bathroom, and pleased with the work of Gateway and their subcontractors. My only complaint was related to the charge of extra work needed to install smoke detectors in all the bedrooms and in halls outside the bedrooms. This is a requirement of St. Louis County when remodeling bathrooms. Don't ask me why. The question was should I have the work done to pass inspection, or not have it done and hope the inspector doesn't check for it. (The inspector didn't even look for any smoke detectors.) However, when I told them to do the work, I made a big mistake by not asking how much additional the work would cost. It wounded up costing $600 which was a big surprise to me. I should have asked, but also they should have told me or at least given me as estimate. Everything else went very well. I got two other bids on the project. From what I could tell in reviewing the bids and trying to compare apples to oranges, Gateway seemed to be significantly cheaper (and they were bidding a high end cabinet line). I highly recommend them. I also recommend the high end cabinet line that they use which is Bertch brand (we got the cherry wood which is beautiful).

Great design! Great installation experience and great follow up on a few bumps in the road that occurred.

They were great. Everything that needed to be done was done well. It only took about 3 days.

Excellent service, professional work. James Scarfino was very helpful in guiding us through the process of designing the remodel and choosing materials. He made sure we understood every aspect of the project. His workman, Tony showed up on time each day and worked efficiently and professionally. The whole project from tear-out to completion took 8 working days. The work was performed to our complete satisfaction.

We couldn't have been more pleased. The owner, Jim, always gave us the feeling he was on and quot;our side.and quot; That is to say, he wanted us to be pleased with the results, and did what was necessary to make it happen. If anything wasn't quite right, his attitude was always that he would certainly make it right. (And he did.) He did a good job of communicating. Whenever we left a message, he always replied promptly. He was happy to give us advice when we wanted it, without ever being pushy. The workers were polite and friendly, and they did a first-rate, quality job.

They were very communicative from start to finish. We always knew where they were at in the project. They ordered custom cabinets identical to the one's we have now and the quality is amazing. They did an excellent job.

Jim looked at the original layout we paid for and was intrigued enough to come to our home and give us his design and estimate very promptly. Because he owns the company and is a certified designer, we immediately got answers to our questions and for job as big as ours, there were many! We didn't have to wait for the designer to ask the installer to get answers. He and his crew did a wonderful job, they were very neat and tidy and tried to keep our kitchen functional as long as they could. The time was longer than anticipated, but our kitchen is beautiful! We changed very little once the original plans were made and there were very few if any lost days due to subcontracting. Sandra gave us awesome suggestions for the backsplash and helped us coordinate colors to make it all look over the top. We've recommended them many times to our friends by word of mouth since then.

The best reference I share is that Jim and his team remodeled my kitchen 5 years ago and they were first on my list to remodel the bathroom. They were helpful in every step of the process from making design decisions through the actual work. I will definitely use them again when I remodel the 2nd bath.

Very nice company! Jim, the owner, makes you feel right at home and helps you save a little money when you can, without making you feel like a tight-wad, ha! Tony, the main work guy is impeccable in professionalism and delivery. Perfect installation - no problems whatsoever! Ellen, in the showroom, is wonderful to work with. Helps you find just the right items with a great attitude. Also - the price was about 1/3 less than the competition. Great experience through and through!
