Hal and his team were amazing and professional. They worked well with our insurance company and gave a competitive bid.

We ordered a specific color that had to be special ordered and that took time to get. We signed our contract the week before Christmas (2016) and they just finished this last week (02/03/2017). So it took about a month to get all the materials. Hal was very attentive an assured us numerous times that we were waiting on the materials and that they would start as soon as possible. When the materials did arrive, the crew was quick to get the work done. It took them four days total to get the siding, soffit, and new gutters installed. The house looks amazing. It feels like when we drive up to it that it isn't ours and that it belongs in a completely different neighborhood! We couldn't be happier with the color and the job that the crew did. One thing that we will say that bothered us was the crew did not clean up after themselves everyday, the mess they made was left until the end of the week. Luckily we live at the end of a road so no one lives behind or next to us on one side, but I can image that they would be more careful about trash and debris if there were other homes in close proximity. However, when they did clean up they were extremely thorough about getting every bit of trash and debris from the job. One guy was in our flower bed scrapping the dirt with his hands to make sure they got all the nails out. Again, this wasn't a big deal that they didn't clean up daily because we only have a neighbor on one side of our house, but maybe consider discussing this with Hal if you imagine this to be a problem. Since it wasn't something that we thought about I believe that if we had mentioned it, that Hal would've taken care of it. He was very attentive from the moment we discussed working with him, throughout the whole process. For the work that was done, the price was the best out of the six other companies we looked at. Hal never pressured us and we felt like he was genuine with his suggestions.

The process was smooth, and the work was done quickly. The crew cleaned everything up, and the job looks great. I particularly appreciated Hal's honestly and attention to detail. He helped deal with our insurance company when the claim needed to be adjusted, offered options without pressuring us, and worked with our timeline. He was very patient in terms of payment while we waited for a check from the insurance company.

I'm the highly skeptical type (especially when it comes to quality of work, as I work in the construction industry) so I was a bit nervous doing such a major renovation as a first time home owner with a 40 year old house. So I'm on here writing this because Hal went beyond all my expectations and I want to support the few good contractors out there (let's be honest they're hard to find). Hal was prompt to every appointment, available late into the evenings via phone (never heard his voicemail because he always answered), met us on multiple Saturday's, all his information was accurate and easy to understand - no sales bs! and even made special arrangements to make sure we had our gutters up before it rained the next day (which it did rain and Hal, thanks again!). The workers finished our 2000sqft home in 3 days - start to finish. I looked hard to find some annoying piece of scrap debris laying around my yard once the demo & installation was complete (I'm OCD like that) only to find not one piece, anywhere. So not only is Hal awesome, but his workers are too from start to finish. You're on here looking for the professional, hard working , "the job is not finished until you're completely satisfied" contractor with the right guys doing the dirty work - Hal and his guys are exactly that. He will be my first call when it comes time to replace my roof. High highly recommend.

There was a layer of tar paper protecting the plywood but it was starting to wear out and just looked tacky. Hal came out, scoped the job, and gave me a competitive quote very quickly. He was very quick to respond to my phone calls and answered all of my questions in detail. After deciding to go with Hal, we set up a tentative date for installation and he ordered the materials. During the week in which the work was scheduled to happen, Hal contacted me and set up a time to deliver the materials. The materials were delivered Thursday morning, his crew showed up right after and worked all day. It was a smaller job and they finished by noon on Friday. The siding looks great and the crew cleaned everything up. The extra siding materials were hauled away and Hal came by in person to deliver the invoice and inspect the work.

Every job Hal and his crew have done for me was excellent. The finished product is high quality and durable. I've never had an after-the-fact problem. The price is highly competitive and the materials are top quality. The crew is professional and polite. They show up when expected and get the job done on time. I highly recommend Hal Knapp and his company Freedom Midwest.

The job was done in 1 week, despite the difficulty of ripping off and replacing all the deck boards, all the tops of the railings, and completely rebuilding the long stairway to the yard. He also reinforced all areas of the structure that needed adjusting and screws, as the deck was put together with nails originally. He was polite and tidy. All trash was removed and all nails and screws picked up with a magnet. He even helped me move some of the furniture and plant pots, as I am not able to do so myself. All in all, it was a good experience. Hal Knapp, from Freedom Midwest Windows and Siding, LLC, was our contractor. He helped us get our roof, gutters and gutter covers redone, 1 1/2 years ago, and had helped us get new siding on the house about 11 years ago. When we need work done, we call him, because we trust him to secure the best result at the best price possible. He is reliable, energetic, interested in the outcome and our level of satisfaction.

My roof was ruined by a hail storm earlier this year. I called Hal at Freedom Midwest that same night. Hal is great to work with. He is extremely patient, moves at my pace, very affordable, and from working with him in the past, I know he will not be satisfied until I am satisfied. Freedom Midwest replaced my roof. They did an outstanding job. The guys were very professional. What really made me happy....they left the yard looking like it did when they showed up. Very nice job cleaning up when they were done. I highly recommend this company.

Hal called us immediately to set up a time for a free estimate of the work to be done. They came that week and gave us an estimate. He did not annoy us with more calls. We called him as soon as we were ready to get it done. He was there within a week. He told us exactly what we would need, and gave us several options. He did not try to pressure us in any way to use more expensive products. The guys came a few days later and had the entire roof completed in about seven hours. The entire yard was clean, and they even cleaned out our gutters. Our roof looks beautiful, and we could not have been more pleased. We thought we would have to pay more due to some damaged wood on the roof, but that estimate ended up being even less because they did not need to replace as much as we assumed we would. This company is run by a very honest individual. We highly recommend them and would definitely use them again.

THE GENTLEMAN THAT DID THE WORK WAS DALE AND HIS ASSISTANT. THEY WERE EXTREMELY PROFESSIONAL AND NICE. THEY WORKED CONTINOUSLY EACH DAY UNTIL THE PROJECT WAS COMPLETED. I COULD NOT BE HAPPIER WITH THE RESULT. IT WAS OBVIOUS I HIT THE JACKPOT WITH THIS COMPANY. DALE CARES ABOUT HIS WORK AND WAS METICULOUS WHEN CAULKING. HE IS A TRUE PROFESSIONAL AND PROUD OF HIS WORK. HE CLEANED THE AREA AFTERWARDS AND EVEN WIPED HIS HANDPRINTS OFF WHERE NEEDED. I DEALT WITH HAL ON THE QUOTE AND HE BEAT THE COMPETITION. I CANNOT BELIEVE HOW WELL THEY MATCHED MY SIDING. I WILL RECOMMEND FREEDOM MIDWEST WINDOWS AND SIDING TO EVERYONE.

We chose Hal and Freedom Midwest from a list of four companies, all recommended by friends and co-workers. His bid for our siding/gutters job was reasonable and we were also impressed by his knowledge and ability to accommodate his customers. Mike and his crew worked on the project. They needed to put a new vinyl siding over the old Masonite one. There were many little challenging details in the house that required extra attention and professionalism to take care of. The crew took their time and did a great job. I must add that I am a very demanding client and Hal and the crew were able to satisfy all my requirements. The house looks amazing now and we are very happy with the result.

It went great. It couldn't have gone better. Working with Hal/Freedom Midwest was a wonderful experience. Hal is honest and extremely professional. He truly cares about his customers and it shows in the finished product. Heading into the project, I had heard multiple horror stories regarding unreliable and dishonest siding/roofing companies. I was afraid to trust anyone. Hal proved to be the exact opposite. Hal was so laid back, he moved at my pace, wasn't pushy, and made sure I was comfortable with every decision along the way. Now that the project is over, I consider Hal a friend and look forward to working with him in the future. I can't thank him enough for everything.

The job went very well. The windows we bought from Freedom Midwest are of very good quality. They have a good seal and do not transmit sound. Midwest does an excellent job of installation. We will be having siding installed on last remaining side of the house after we have deck work done. I asked Freedom to allow for me to put temporary siding up to seal the wall they did the window install. They did extra work during the install and I had do minumal work to seal the wall. We have had them do installs in the past and they have done excellent work. We will definitly consider them for future work.

After receiving 3 bids for new windows/siding on our house, determined that Freedom Midwest: 1) had the product that we were looking for (board/batten siding); 2) was professional and punctional during our many meetings; and 3) provided quality installation, including clean up of old material.

Bidding process went very well. Contractor returned calls promptly and asked appropriate questions when necessary.

Hal and the team were excellent to work with. Hal was prompt with estimates and set the correct expectations. His team followed up with an excellent job that was completed as promised. Highly recommended!

The experience was great. They were very professional, gave us a bid and set up a date within 2 weeks to start the job. It was all done within 3 days and would've been shorter but they came across some termite damage. They took care of the problem. The clean up was great. We didn't have any problems with it.

They were awesome, and I absolutely loved them! Their were friendly, and they took their time to explain everything to me. It was hot outside and they stayed all day. It took them less time than expected. They cleaned up! They went above and beyond.

The roof replacement was extremely well executed and only took one day. Hal Knapp took me past other homes in my neighborhood where he had replaced the roofs so that I could see the various options available. He was not a high pressure salesman and I appreciated the care he took in explaining the different options available. On the morning of the job the workers were ready to start at 7:00am, just as scheduled. The number of workers that showed up to work was amazing! They worked non-stop through the day and were finished around 4:00pm. They had placed a tarp around my house to catch pieces of the old roof tile so clean-up was thorough. Since my new roof was installed we have had plenty of hard rain and thunderstorms. I'm delighted that I no longer have any leaks! Wish I had replaced the roof sooner. I would definitely recommend Freedom Midwest for roof replacements.

Hal returned my call for an estimate promptly, came to provide estimate as soon as weather permitted and showed me other properties his company has worked on. His estimate was very reasonable, better than some others we got, and for better product. His workmen were very professional and courteous, asking us for feedback as they went and were very conscientious. They did a great job on the siding and the detailed work on and around the dormers and bay windows was excellent! Cleaned up well, worked in some adverse weather (even some snow) and we are very pleased with the work.

They are the best in West County. They did a beautiful job, showed up on time and work was completed as scheduled and I wasn't concerned when I left in the morning. They were very professional and took pride in their work. The cleanup was excellent and their prices were competitive with 5 other bids. Overall, it was a better experience than I expected and I'll use them for windows and would recommend them to everyone!

Crews were very professional in their workmanship, clean up and answering any questions. Price was excellent. Hal and crews were prompt to return phone calls and answer all of our questions. Hal was very thorough, met us at home at times convenient to us, & was available without being pushy. The crew was clean, neat, & fast. They also stacked up my old copper gutters & left them for me to take to the scrap yard.
