Michele and her team were not only super communicative, but were responding to my questions in the middle of the work day and within minutes! They were able to give me a heads-up when they were headed towards my house and the girls were very fun and energetic! They got in and out within an hour and literally made my life so much easier! The only things they were not able to assist me with were my high chandeliers and high windows (insurance purposes requires different companies to service those requests, which was no problem). The girls worked together and it felt like I had a team of fairies that came in and got out leaving me with the biggest sigh of relief! So Grateful that they come back every two weeks (sometimes every week) because there's really nothing better than coming home to a clean home and actually getting to enjoy it! Thanks to Extra Step and the girls!!

The girls were able to text me prior to arriving which was so helpful. They worked in a team and were in and out within an hour for a routine clean, which was so great! I asked Michele for extra services before they came and they were able to accommodate my wants and my needs (letting my dog out of her kennel after they were finished). I am so grateful for a personable crew in my home. I would recommend to anyone in the West County STL area!! I have used a few other companies in the area and this one is superior.

I was hesitant to write a review, since we never actually received the service. But with Angie's List's encouragement, this is based on my experience attempting to hire Extra Step. Based on my address, which is in Wildwood, Extra Step came up as a recommended provider for regular cleaning service. I was encouraged by their overwhelmingly positive reviews, and I appreciated their emphasis on green cleaning supplies and practices. I selected them, then went to their website to fill in their questionnaire to guide the quote for service. It seems I left the Master Bath off the form, and I got a very abrupt, one-line email from...someone. I say "someone," because there were no niceties, no courtesies, no explanation of who was contacting me. Not even a signature line. Just, "No master bath?" as the full content of the email, sent from an iPhone. Were it not for the email address indicating I was communicating with [email protected], it could have been spam. I responded that I did, in fact, have a master bath, and I apologized for the omission. For good measure, I included the rooms I was hoping to have cleaned in my emailed reply. "Are you in eureka? [sic] You might be out of our service area." came the similarly clipped reply, four hours later. I clarified that I am in Wildwood, that Angie's List had suggested them based on our address, and that she should advise me if she wasn't interested in serving us. And that was the end of the exchange. No further contact, no apologies for any confusion, no explanations. Just silence. So my review has nothing to do with the quality of their work, their punctuality, to any other measure related to actually doing the work. But for professionalism, courtesy, any respect that should mark at least the beginnings of a business relationship? Nope. I'll look elsewhere.

They were excellent! Professional, efficient and friendly. I beleive $34 per man hour is a reasonable price to pay for an efficient team of four. I would highly recommend!

We hired Extra Step Cleaning to do a move-in cleaning in the condo that we recently purchased. We knew that this would be a lot of work, so the fact that the company would send a few cleaners was appealing. Extra Step scheduled us quickly. Initially, I asked for 1-1.5 hours of cleaning. But the cleaners asked for more time because of the amount of work. (We found out later that the condo was unoccupied for 1.5 years and thus had caked on dust and cobwebs.) When finished, the lead cleaner asked for $204 for 1.5 hours of work, which my wife immediately paid, along with a $40 tip ($10 for each cleaner). Later that day, the owner wrote to me asking for more money because her team worked almost two hours. My wife claims that they started at about 8:05 and ended at 9:58 and that a few areas were still dusty. I conveyed this to the owner, who was very dismissive. Actually, we are still cleaning the condo of dust and cobwebs, so Extra Step could have done better. Frankly, I don’t get the sense that Extra Step wants our repeat business. The owner should really invoice clients after the cleaning, so no mistakes are made in billing. Our experience has been mediocre with Extra Step.
