CLEARVIEW WINDOWS and SIDING

The job was completed in two phases. The first phase consisted of the window installation. The second phase consisted of the siding installation The window installation set the tone. The installers were knowledgable, friendly, and heavily experienced. They explained everything that they were doing and why it was going to improve the insulation of the home. The installed windows are beautiful, and now, the inside of our home is eerily quiet!. The soundproofing is unbelievable, and there is no longer any condensation found on the window or the pane on cold or wet days! The bigger part of the job was the siding installation! On the first day, again, the installation crew explained to me what they were doing, leveling the sides, installing the siding, etc. I had spots on the house that I was concerned about because they were damaged by excessive rainwater runoff (my original guttering could not handle the water capacity during heavy rains). Not only did Clearview address my concern, but they also arranged for me to meet with the guttering foreman and plan out a new guttering system, that now handles the job easily. It was recently tested during our historic December 3 day 11.5 inch rain storms in St. Peters. Absolutely, dry as a bone in the house, with no water leaks or concerns anywhere!! This was my greatest concern, and it was eliminated by Clearview. The product that was used was excellent. It was an insulated wide panel siding by Royal Products. Additionally, the installation crew, went out of their way to install the product with no flaws, extremely clean workmanship, and a downright beautiful look. Additionally, we have a California look to our house with "arch" fixtures over the front window frames. Clearview maintained this look and installed a fypon panel on each window, that were custom cut. I was worried because they really needed to be perfect. In the end, not only were they installed perfectly, they look better that the original arch panels. From the consulation, to the preparation prior to any work being done, to the water diversion on the roof, the redesigned guttering to improve rainwater handling capacity, to the custom cut and installed window arches, and last but the most improtant, the best customer servicing.............I would highly recommended Clearview Windows and Siding. It is a guarantee that the job will turn out great and a wise investment.

Since this was such an expensive project we got 6 proposals and spent quite a bit of time researching trying to determine what we wanted to do. At first we thought we wanted to go with Hardie Plank boards, but then realized that it was incredibly expensive. So we switched to looking at insulated vinyl siding, but then we agonized over whether we should replace the existing siding or install the new siding over the old. Armed with a list of references from several contractors, we spent hours driving around the area looking at other houses that had installed over the old siding and others that replaced the old. This really helped us make several key decisions. We only wish we had done it earlier. We decided to install over the old siding for 2 reasons: it was less expensive and we thought it would increase the R value of our walls. In our house the insulation in the walls is not very good. Marc from Clearview was very patient and was agreeable to doing whatever we wanted. The only problem was that at the time we first met, we didn't have a clear picture of what our requirements were. When we emailed Marc with questions he was surprisingly very quick to respond with answers. Once we made our decisions, Marc was very agreeable to modifying his proposal. Lead time to start was about 4-5 weeks, about what we expected and wasn't an issue with us. The Clearview crew of 3 (sometimes 4) did a great job. The job was estimated to be 5 days but ended up taking 7 days. We were glad that the crew stuck with it, working over the weekend to get the job finished. We were unnecessarily worried earlier in the week that they would get pulled off to go to another job and might leave us hanging. Foreman Chris was great to work with. He was easy to talk to and made sure the crew exceeded our expectations. For example, we needed to replace a couple of flood lights on the back of the house and Chris did a great job of installing them on the new soffits, under the eaves. He also did a great job of installing the pediment over the front door, which wasn't easy because of the uneven brick surface. After the job was completed, we were amazed that the new siding, window shutters and pediment made our house look like it was brand new. We would gladly recommend Clearview to anyone.

Everything looks great! No problems whatsoever. The crew was professional and courteous. Marc was the most responsive contractor we've ever dealt with in any industry, returning phone calls within an hour and even while on vacation.

Everyone involved in the quoting process through installation was friendly and professional. The work performed was high quality and they paid attention to all of the details. We have already contacted them about future work based on how happy we were with the first job.

Siince the first contact with Marc to get a bid for the job to the final step of the project, working with ClearView was amazing. Marc was easy to get in touch with to get him to come over to bid the job. He and his crew have years of experience which was the main reason I selected ClearView and I felt the price was very fair for the job. Once I selected ClearView for the job, Marc was very helpful in scheduling the work for a date that worked well for my family. He set very clear expectations on how the work would be performed and an approximate schedule. He kept in touch with me on a daily basis to let me know how the work was progressing. When his crew encountered something unexpected during the project (pre-existing condition), Marc shared with me the problem and provided me with some options and gave me some time to get the issue resolved (1 - 2 days). Marc and his crew kept making progress while the other contractor (worked to fix the pre-existing condition. Even with the 1 - 2 day slowdown, the project completed 1 week earlier than Marc had predicted which was great! The quality of workmanship was exceptional and I couldn't have asked for a better company to work with on this major project. I will refer Marc and ClearView siding to anyone I know looking to replace siding on their home. This project was the entire reason I signed up for an Angie's list accout to find a reputable contractor to do this work. I have been very impresesed with Angie's List and even more impressed with Clearview!

From the beginning, working with Clearview was a wonderful experience. When I called Marc to get an estimate, he never once tried to pressure me into hiring him. He presented me with every option possible for my home project and wanted to help my husband and I find the right fit for our home. He is very intelligent about the products that he works with and cares about his work. He always answered my phone calls and responded to emails within hours (NOT days). No matter what questions I had, he always answered them respectfully and with kindness. He was also very flexible. We signed a contract in November, and I wanted to wait to start the job in April (which he was happy to accommodate). He continued to follow up with me and ask if there was anything else that he could do to help me. After seeing how much he cared, I knew that Marc was the guy for my home project. When the crew showed up to start working, they always wore Clearview labeled clothing (which Marc always did as well), and were respectful of myself and my home. I also received early daily emails from Marc if weather prevented them from working for the day. The crew was approachable, professional, and worked well together. Every day after they were finished, they cleaned up extremely well. Marc also came by each day to touch base with his crew and myself. I was so amazed and appreciative of the communication that Marc had with myself and his crew. After my home was completed, I saw a couple of things that I wanted fixed, so Marc and his crew quickly fixed everything perfectly without a complaint. Marc and his crew are professional, respectful, kind, and much more. I felt like I was treated like family through the entire process and would not have done it any differently. I love my home and am so glad that I chose Clearview. All it takes is a phone call for an estimate and you will see what I saw?.that Marc is the man for the job.

Marc is very professional and extremely courteous. The work started and finished as promised on time. There was a color shade discrepance in some of the vinyl siding lots which I had not even noticed.... Marc informed and pointed it out to me and then had that wall changed and redone (I would likely have overlooked it, had it not been pointed out to me). The only other issues were some of the wiring of the outside lights that was not working, and one of my kids broke the brand-new weather seal to the garage within a week of the installation. I emailed Marc and he had both of them fixed within 48 hours without any charge. I will be recommending him to some of my neighbors who have asked me.

It was very pleasant working with Marc and his team. Marc is very informative and honest. During the process, he always made sure that I understood what to expect and what the options were. The crew spent two days replacing 20 windows and a basement door. They were polite and professional. Everything looks good and they cleaned up after the work. Excellent. Marc was very good to work with and his install crew were very professional. Very pleased with the six basement picture windows that they installed. They difference in warmth of the room they were installed in is noticeable. Price was very good.

This went well. Marc does everything you wish a contractor would do. He shows up on time, listens to your concerns and addresses then to the best of his abilities. I had a thermal image done in the new windows and they are performing great. 2 items that I wish I had done. 1.) I have a very old home. The pocket that the old window weights sit in is a empty pocket. I wish I had told them to fill them with spray foam. They really show a lot of thermal loss. This would have been extra, but it is the right way to do it. 2.) the window wrap on the outside of the windows will cause me problems in the future. This is the construction of my home and there was no good way to totally encase the wood on the window, again not Marc's issue, but something to think of when you are replacing your windows. Like I said great job overall and great window. I am very hard to get a A rating out of.

From the very beginning, working with Marc and his company was a very comfortable and satisfying experience. He was always extremely accessible for consultation or to answer any of our questions. His team was very prompt and efficient, finishing all the work in less than two days. Not only did they do a great job with all the fascias, soffits and gutters, they also wrapped the panelling surrounding our garage door. His project team ensured they knew the job and laid out a plan we all agreed to. Each day they arrived on time, conducted themselves professionally (no foul language, no poor behavior - which with 2 small children was important to us). At the end of each day they had the site cleaned up and ready for the next day. Marc was always aware of any issues before we knew and a plan was in place to address. During weather delays and product delays we were always informed. We have only had positive feedback on our new siding. The overall look was fantastic and Marc's recommendations around windows, corner trim, and overall look was spot on. Marc was excellent to work with during my project. He was very professional and showed up twice during the project. My project took 3 days due to some rain delays. His crew was very prompt, curtious and professional. I would highly recommend this company to anyone looking for great quality work with a professional team.

The manufacturer delivered the windows to Clearview per the order in about three weeks as promised. The installation was delayed a couple of weeks due to extreme winter weather. That worked out OK as 70 degrees is much more convenient for window installation than 10 degrees. Installation was completed beautifully on one day. The workmanship on the sheet metal window surrounds was excellent. Owner Marc Kabak and his crew were very professional in quoting and completing the job. Everything about the project lived up to my expectations. By the way, I joined Angie's List just to search for a quality contractor for Simonton Windows and found what I was looking for.

The whole experience, from initial sales inquiry to the final review were easy and problem-free. Marc and his crew of workers great to work with. The actual installation took 4 days, and crew's work was of the highest quality. I was impressed with how very little mess there was inside the house, and the crew also made sure the outside was spotless as well. I would definitely recommend Clearview for anyone in need of windows or siding.

We are happy with the completed job. Mid-range bid among three highly rated Angie's List companies. Marc was good to work with and answered all of my questions promptly and thoroughly via email leading up to my choice of his company.

They replaced the original aluminum windows with vinyl. They had to do a lot of cutting and extra work to get the old windows out. They didn’t charge us more and they didn’t go over on the timeframe. It worked out great!

It turned out really well! I was very pleased with everything.

Good price and the quality of the work was good. It took awhile to get the actual work date due to some conflicts on our schedule and his schedule. Very professional in the quote, and follow up. The quality of product seems good. The workmanship was good, although slow, which was not a problem. The clean up was not good. Several nails and trim pieces were left behind, maybe because of the snow that occurred the last few days of work. Overall we are very pleased with the product, work, and the price.

Out of 4 bids I got, Clearview was not the cheapest, but they were in the ballpark. Marc worked with me on the pricing and made it an easy choice. Getting a lot of work done to your house can be stressful and disruptive. I highly recommend you choose a contractor that can minimize the pain and make the experience enjoyable. Clearview is that contractor.

The old windows were removed and the lead paint was abated. Then the new windows were installed and capped. It took one and a half days. They worked around our schedule and completed the work as promised.

Superb service. The crew was on time, polite and very efficient with their work. Would definitely hire them again!
