CLEARVIEW WINDOWS and SIDING

For the initial free estimate, Jeremy was prompt and very professional. He gave us recommendations for 2 kinds of siding and recommended the installation of the soffit and the aluminum trim to make our porch maintenance-free (otherwise the whole thing needed to be painted.) He was able to show us pictures of work that Clearview had completed on other houses so that we could get an idea of what it would look like. He also gave us an extensive list of reference houses. About 2 weeks later we had Jeremy back out to show us actual examples of the siding and to pick colors. We signed the contract that day even though Clearview was about $250 more expensive than another bid. We went with Clearview because their follow up and follow through was superior to the other company (an Angie's List award winner) and we felt more comfortable with Clearview. We also liked the fact that Clearview's staff are American. The staff were courteous, did an excellent job, and cleaned up after the job.

This project went well from start to finish. Marc returned my call immediately and came out for an estimate the first time I was free - I was impressed that the owner of the company would give such good service. Marc is personable and spends the time to find out what you need and what you can afford. He offers to give you as much or as little information as you want. I learned much that was useful in getting other bids. He told me some things I did not need, even if he could have made a sale, and did not pressure me to buy his most expensive products. He brought with him a list of addresses where he had completed work and urged me to look at them and call and see if these customers were satisfied. Without being pushy he followed up on the estimate. The service was so good and I was so impressed with Marc's honesty that I accepted his bid even though it was slightly higher. His crews were experienced, respectful, efficient, and did a great job. Marc checked in every day.

GREAT! When I looked at other reports, someone said, "Don't look any further". I hardily agree. If you need siding or windows, this is the company to hire. The owner, Mark, restored my faith that there really are businessmen who still believe in customer service. When he pulled up to my driveway before ever meeting me & seeing that I was struggling with some furniture moving immediately helped me. I knew then he was a gentleman & a businessman who would do whatever it took to deliver customer service. Being newly widowed, he very patiently explained all the business & financial aspects of the job, & was very understanding when a few tears fell on my part from being overwhelmed with emotion at times. He even took me on a "fieldtrip" in my neighborhood to look at different colors to help me make up my mind. His crew was just fantastic. They worked hard & were always respectful, & careful to completely clean the premises each day. I feel I not only have a beautiful home & a new friend.

Marc Kabak did an excellent job in guiding us through this project from explaining the options available at the beginning to ensuring that the custom work we wanted was completed to our satisfaction. Four workers completed the initial tasks of removing the old battens and installing most of the siding. Jason and Ryan completed most of the carpentry work and installed the gutters (and did an overall great job). Jason is an outstanding carpenter who listened to what we wanted and found a way to make it happen. He was able to integrate some opaque panels into an exterior wall to allow more light into an enclosed patio area, and he built a gate for that area. Jason also constructed a separate partition on the side of the garage to hide an air conditioner and the trash cans. All work was done on time and every effort was made to leave the site clean.

Both teams were on time and very courteous. They got the job done within the time frame expected and were very clean. They were very willing to explain the process and product to me in detail. We refer Mark to all of our friends and family and his whole crew because after using them twice I know they are the best in town!

Marc is a joy to work with. He came out for the initial bid and spent as much time as necessary to make sure I understood everything. I received 4 bids, and while he wasn't the lowest, I preferred to deal with him over the others. His knowledge of and enthusiasm for his product won my confidence. His crew arrived when scheduled, but I had little contact with them as I was working while they were here. A dumpster was on-site and they cleaned up daily. Although I didn't see him, I know Marc visited our home while the work was in progress. The job was completed in less than a week and our house looks great. Marc followed up a couple times to make sure we were happy with the finished result. I would highly recommend Clearview to anyone looking for siding. I will certainly be talking to Marc when we're ready to replace our windows.

Don't bother calling them unless you have at least 4 windows to replace. They would not even come out to look at the problem. At least the lady on the phone was upfront and polite. They should note in their profile... only take large jobs!

ClearView was the first company we called because of all the excellent reports in Angie's list. Marc came out very soon and explained everything in detail. It took us awhile to decide on a color, both Marc and Donna were very helpful in giving us addresses so we could see a whole house and not just the small sample. We were never pressured to decide, and when we did, the work began the very next day! Bobby, the crew chief, Justin, and Stacy were good workers. The work progressed quickly. We wanted a few changes and these were done. We always got the feeling that our satisfaction was the bottom line and their job was to make sure we were completely satisfied with the work. Marc came by two or three times to check on things. He was very involved with the project from start to finish. We highly recommend Marc and his workers. Thanks to Angie's list we found them!

Marc is great. I thought it was going to be difficult to sway me away from some of the other companies with excellent Angie's List reviews, but after my first meeting with Marc I was pretty sure that we would go with him. His professionalism and attentiveness, coupled with the fact that some of the other places I called for quotes were so much harder to get hold of, sold us on him right away. Once we had the contract signed he continued to be just as attentive. I liked the fact that he was easy to access by email too. He actually talked us out of buying a few things that he didn't think we needed and would have raised our costs significantly. I'd never had a contractor do that before! We had a great experience. The few things that we needed fixed after they were finished were taken care of right away, and Marc continued to email me to make sure I was satisfied. I was!

Some research and consulted with his window expert Phil (very nice and knowledgeable) and they came up with a way to replace it with a storm window knowing that they only had access from the outside so we were very impressed with there ability to think outside the box to make the customer happy. When the crew came out to do the work, they were on time, finished quickly and cleaned up when they were done. As I mentioned earlier, please take a look at our siding review of Clearview because you'll find out that this company clearly cares about there customers happiness which is a rarity in the home improvement business so what are you waiting for, CALL THEM! One additional note regarding Marc's commitment to his customers, is he knew we didn't the funds to replace the windows on the back of our house and they really stood out compared to the new ones so he had his crew install new capping around them to make them look nicer. These little touches set Clearview apart from the rest.

Marc was very professional and detailed in his presentation and review of the project. He offered a solid product and was not pushy. The switching of door and window did not phase him but he did show a prudent amount of caution when estimating this part of the project. Though we didn't end up hiring Clearview, I would have no problem recommending them to anyone.

Marc was prompt in returning calls or E-mails. Everything was documented on the contract. The workers were great. We were very pleased with the results. We also have a bid on replacement windows as we hope to do in the future. I would recommend this company to anyone.

He then proceeded to tell me that he's cleared his schedule for the entire day if I needed it so I never felt rushed. Marc asked me what I was looking for which was nice and gave me several options explaining the differences in detail. He took some measurements and e-mailed me an estimate the next day which was very reasonable. We decided to hire him based on reputation, excellent customer service and a reasonable price. Since it was the busiest time of year for home improvement, it was several weeks before they could squeeze us in and Marc called frequently to give us updates. When the day came the crew showed up and we walked around the house double checking to make sure everyone was on the same page and they didn't miss anything. After the work was completed, once again Marc personally came out to the house to inspect the work and even sent the crew back out to correct something my wife and I didn't notice but it wasn't up to his standards so it was redone.

Overall, I have only great things to say about Marc Kabak and Clearview. My wife and I ended up purchasing a ''money pit'' of a home that needed much more renovation than originally estimated. After interviewing several exterior companies, we selected Clearview because of Angie's List and our visit with Marc. With the many issues my wife and I discovered after buying our home, we were especially sensitive to having repairs/improvements done properly the first time and Clearview was very receptive. Marc was always available by phone (we spoke often) and made 3-4 site visits during the project. His window and siding crews were courteous and delivered as promised. This was a significant investment for my family and Marc understood our concerns wanting the best possible workmanship. As is the case with many projects, new issues arise after the project has begun. Marc and Clearview were extremely attentive. I would highly recommend them.

Work was done reasonably promptly. Work completed as promised, including some hidden damage that was uncovered that they fixed in addition at a very nominal charge. Daily cleanup was good. Small minor issues were corrected quickly.

Marc was very professional and pleasant to work with. He was prompt with his estimate and always returned calls and e-mails quickly. The bid was competitive with other contractors. When planning to have the work completed, we told Marc about our summer vacation plans. He worked with his schedule to complete our project before we left (much sooner than we had expected!). Throughout the project, the workers were very professional and responsive and left our property clean at the end of each day. Marc and Bobby, the crew chief, walked around with us to ensure that all was completed to our satisfaction. The finished result is beautiful. We would highly recommend Clearview and plan to contract with them in the future for window and door replacement.

Marc was very fair when giving us an estimate. Excellent follow-up as he stopped by numerous times to check the progress. His crews do an exceptional job and clean up very good at the end of each day. We highly recommend this company for the products used and workmanship.

Marc Kabak, the owner, took the time to educate my wife and me about siding;it was a very comfortable presentation, and it never felt like a sales pitch. The workers arrived promptly each day, were neat and efficient, and were done in six days. Marc stopped by several times to check on the work and to make sure we were pleased. We found only one small problem, which was remedied immediately the next day. As a landlord on other property, I've worked with many contractors and home improvement workers. Clearview's crew is very professional, does excellent work, and all at a reasonable price. I would have absolutely no hesitation in recommending them or in hiring them again.

My husband and I instantly liked Marc's laid back approach. He was not like the other salesman we had received bids from. We never felt pressure to "sign on the dotted line" and any questions or concerns we had were addressed immediately. His crew was timely and efficient. This major undertaking was completed within the estimated completion time. Though not the cheapest bid nor the most expensive bid, we felt that the final outcome exceeded our expectation. I would highly recommend Marc's services.

I had estimates with 4 companies all with excellent ratings on Angie's List. Mark Kabak was the only one who presented as pushy, evasive, and just did not put me at ease. It just seemed he was almost argumentative or dismissive when I made certain suggestions. He had a arrogant attitude. Confidant is good, arrogant is not. I was glad that his estimate was so detailed and even offered different pricing options for different products. Mark's estimate was $800 more than another company with the same product.

Mark Kabak did provide a very detailed written estimate that offered several product options. However, he was still $3,100 over another Angie's List provider on the EXACT SAME product. Worse, Mark was pushy, and arrogant. When I made a special request that included carpentry work, instead of saying he can't do that or he would have to subcontract that, he argued with me over whether such a project was needed. When I persisted, he finally said that was not a service he could provide.

On the day before work began, material was prepositioned in our garage. Work began promptly with two or three skilled workers every day. Great care was taken to pick up debris EACH EVENING. The progress was steady and the crew a pleasure to have around. This was a problem-free project despite the wood damage they had to repair. Every effort was made to guarantee that we were satisfied. Supervisor came by at least three times during the installation and followed up on follow-on deliveries and trash removal. This is the first class operation.

ADMINISTRATION: Estimating, bidding, negotiating and supervising for this project were outstanding. Fast, friendly and clear were the keystones of every transaction. MATERIALS: The Ultramaxx Premium Vinyl Thermal replacements displayed not defects and arrived from the local factory in wooden crates. Casements and double-hung units all had aluminum screens which were square and fitted perfectly to the openings. LABOR: Two workers replaced all windows in one day despite the weight of the triple pane tempered class casements on the main floor. An original casement, installed by owner, was carefully removed and preserved for future use in another house. Politeness, professional skills and efficiency characterized their every action. It was more like having master craftsmen friends doing the remodeling. Great work!

Because this was such a large job for us and we've never hired a siding company before, we opened the process up to bidding. We took 4 bids for the job, but when Marc Kabak came to our house to give an estimate and talk about his product and process, we knew we were going to select Clearview. Not only were we very comfortable with Marc, but his submitted bid was lower than all other companies we contacted. His crew began the job when promised, and they showed up each day and completed ahead of schedule. In addition, they were courteous and cleaned up after themselves daily. Upon completion, Marc walked the house with us and ensured everything was completed to our satisfaction. We've gone through a number of home remodeling projects, and Clearview was easily the most professional and attentive company we've encountered. We both highly recommend their services.
