Marc (the owner of Clearview) made this process an easy one. I took quotes from a number of different vendors and Marc stood out as a guy I knew I would be comfortable working with. On top of that, his pricing was competitive. He was very responsive throughout the process and was able to meet our changing needs. His crew was prompt and polite and did a great job turning the project around.

Marc, the representative from the company, was very attentive to my questions and needs. He was very professional, hard working and detail oriented. Marc Kabak and his team were incredibly professional. Marc was never pushy with the sale of our windows and was very patient while we compared several bids. He always responded with answers to all of our questions in a very timely manner and was very educated in his product. I especially appreciated Marc's patience while I continuously changed/added to my order during this process. He always provided new bids immediately and never pushed us to purchase more than we had originally budgeted. The 2 days during our install, Marc's crew was very punctual and quickly got to work tearing out the old windows & getting the new ones installed - despite the 100+ degree temps outside. The crew was very friendly with our inquisitive children and never made any of us feel we were in their way. We were especially impressed with their clean-up at the end of each day. They were very conscientious of our home and property. The crew was very personable and answered any of the questions I had and would go out of their way to further educate us on our new windows. The crew would bring everything they needed each day and didn't request anything from us. Their finishing work was really great and when we pointed out changes we wanted to make, they were on it quick! Following the install, Marc personally came & walked around the house to inspect. When I pointed out a few warranty issues with specific windows, Marc was eager to assist me - even though it was purely a production issue. Marc continued to follow up with me until Simonton corrected the issue (which Simonton did quickly!) and was always willing to help out. This was our first major home improvement since purchasing our home. Marc & his team have set the bar really high for future improvement jobs! It might be hard to find other service providers who express the same care & concern with future projects as the team at Clearview did. Overall, an excellent experience!

We had Marc and his team install fascia and soffits to our house, and we could not be more happy with the outcome. From the initial meeting through installation and follow-up, Marc and his team were very professional and delivered exactly as promised. We feel that we received a high grade product for a reasonable price along with great service. There were no hidden costs or any surprises.For the initial estimate, Marc was able to provide a base estimate and then provide 6 or 7 different options that we could pick and choose from as we wanted. As we customized our order with Marc, we were please to find that all prices were for labor and tax, with no additional hidden charges. Once we agreed on options and price, Marc's team was able to start work as promised on time. The installation took about 1/2 day longer than originally expected, but this was due to the additional work needed to be done in order to perform the job correctly, at no additional charge from our original contract. After installation, Marc came back out to the house to do a walkthrough. There were a couple of minor points that Marc pointed out himself that he wanted the team to come back out to enhance. These were small details that I would have missed on my own. Again as promised, Marc?s team performed the touch ups as promised. We are extremely pleased with the outcome, and our house looks great as a result. I have already recommended Clearview to others and will continue to recommend Clearview in the future.

Owner Mil did a good job coordinating with on other job on decline well. We experienced no delay the job.

Marc was very helpful, patient and accommodating. He came by in the evening to give us an estimate, waited several weeks while we made inquiries with other companies, and gave us several different price options. The production manager and installation crew were both very professional and punctual. The windows and finishing work look great and the crew cleaned up after themselves and re-hung our blinds.

Requested a quote from them online for Soffit and Fascia. Mark responded promptly and came out and did the quote in a timely manner. Quote was reasonable. The crew that came out was very good and we are happy with the results.

Marc's two installers were pleasant and worked the job to completion. They spent time with me to answer several questions I had on how they would accomplish leveling and filling in gaps and capping the outside of the window frame. I'm extremely happy with Clearview, Marc and the installers, they demonstrated exceptional quality and professionalism. They are top on my list for additional window replacements and if the bid price is even close, they'll get my siding business in the fall. It is not easy to find a company and people I would put my recommendation behind; with Marc and Clearview, I would not hesitate.

I called Mark and he returned my call promptly. I emailed him pictures of the damaged area and he provided an estimate over the phone and a date for service. They were here as stated and quickly performed the repairs in a friendly and professinal manner. They made the entire process very easy. I will call them again if anything else comes up.

We first contacted Marc last year about this job, and after more than a year of deliberation and numerous quotes from other vendors we decided to go with Clearview. His bid was not the lowest ; however, the quotes which we got were not all that differerent and were within 10% of each other. Marc's professionalism, promptness, courteous manner, and reputation on Angies List sealed the deal. Marc came out several times as we decided on what exactly was to be done and we communicated extensively via email during that process. I would recommend to all who are considering siding work to take the time to get every little detail nailed down and agreed upon so that there are no surprises later on - which invariably will change the price, and usually not in your favor!. Marc was patient, had lots of ideas for solving problems, understood when we changed our minds, and was OK with whatever we decided. But it is important to slowly walk around the house and have a clear agreement on exactly every bit of work to be done. The workmen who came out were courteous, friendly, respectful and did a great job. They arrived every morning by 8 and stayed till about 4. The work area was kept clean and tidy. As expected some plants and foliage right by the house took a hit, but that was expected and it was not as bad as I had feared. When they finally left a couple of weeks of weeks later there was very little debris leftover -- I counted less than a dozen randomly scattered nails that they missed. The quality of the work appears to be excellent - it certainly looks good. We had consulted with an independent contractor on how best to do the siding replacement, what things to look out for, and the pros and cons of the various options for the vinyl siding. As far as we can tell, the work was performed according to good industry standards. After the work was completed, there were a few minor details that were not quite right and Marc came out promptly, assessed the situation, and had everything fixed right away. Overall we are very satisfied with the work that Clearview did. Replacing siding is not particularly rewarding - it is expensive and doesn't add anything to your home like finishing the basement can. But it is an investment that goes along with home ownership. We feel comfortable having made that investment using Clearview.

Marc Kabak was very professional from the first meeting for the bid to the final details of the work. He provided us with a list of homes, addresses and siding details of homes they had completed. It really helped to drive by these homes to see first-hand what the siding would look like. The installation crew consisted of 2 men who have been employed by Marc for at least 10 years. They worked hard and were very thorough. If some detail needed changing, they attended to it in a timely manner. When the work was completed, they left the work place clean and orderly. I really appreciated Marc's very prompt responsiveness to emails on any detail that would come up.

Went with insulated dutchlap siding. Pulling off old siding revealed the builder (in 1989) had not used plywood in the house corners, so that added to the cost ($<1000). Crane Oracle insulated (R4) siding, Alside Prodigy vinyl windows (i.e. ecoated) and Provia insulated patio/(deck) door installed. ~$19300 for siding, fascia, repairs, etc.., $6200 for 15 windows and ~$2400 for the deck door. One of 4 bids for all work (5 if including one only for the windows and door). Owner (Marc Kobak) handled the bidding. The process was similar to some companies (a visit and then estimate sent by email), but better than others (writing all out long hand and in one case pressuring for accepting the bid immediately with a discount). Marc uses software so the quote was reasonably clear cut (so changes and scenarios were simple to show). Winning bid wasn't lowest, but not highest, with what seems to have been reasonable profit margin. Chose Clearview after visiting referenced houses and contacting some customers. By the way, Freedom Midwest was close in bid and the professionalism of the owner. Fyi, the decision between the final two, wasn't a clear choice (forgive the pun). Clearviews' workers (2 crews - one for windows, one - all else) were professional, courteous, willing to discuss their work and adjust based on surprises (i.e. corner plywood installation and repairing some water damage around a window due to original flashing work failure). Been ~3 months since work was done and still happy with results; house temperature is more regulated (clearly less cooling cost) and quieter.

Called Marc Kabak with Clearview for estimate for siding, fascia, soffit and seamless gutters. Marc showed up on time for the appointment and was friendly and professional in his presentation with no high pressure tactics. His estimate was reasonable. He gave me a time frame of 3-5 weeks for the work to start and was true to his word. The work started on August 8TH and was finished on August 12TH. The team that did the work were Bobby and Justin and they were friendly, professional and performed high quality work and cleaned up everything at the end of the day. They pointed out some rotten boards and after talking with Marc and myself replaced them for a nominal fee. Marc called to check on things and came by to inspect the finished work before the crew left. Because of Marcs attention to detail, on the final inspection he found something not up to his standards and had the crew change it. I would highly recommend Clearview and Marc to anyone. Be sure and request Bobby and Justin as they do incredible work. Overall it was a great experience!

CLEARVIEW WINDOW & SIDING They helped me to pick out what color would be the best, for what I was wanting on the house. Worked very well with me. I liked them a lot.

It went very well. Mark was excellent to work with and his crew did excellent work. The crew did a small add-on even though Mark was on vacation and couldn't be reached to confirm that it was okay. And then Mark's bill for that work was most reasonable.

Overall I would recommend this company to anyone. Price was right and they were very professional and quick. They cleaned up after themselves. Great job!

I obtained two bids for the fascia and siding repair described above, both for vendors near me who were very well rated on Angie's List. I contacted both via email, and Marc's response was prompt. He came by my house and got an estimate for repairs to me via email within 4 days. His estimate was 10% lower than my other one, and since they were similarly rated, I went with Marc. The repair was completed within a week (while I was out of town, which I told Marc was fine), and he sent me an electronic invoice, which I immediately paid, as the work at the time looked fine. Marc got new fascia to replace the bent / damaged fascia I had, and the color match was good. All cleanup around the site looked good. The problem came when I was outside my house about 5-6 weeks later and noticed two problems on the upper portion of my house that he repaired: 1) the loose siding that was repaired / tucked back in had come loose again, and 2) the upper piece of fascia (of the 2 pieces on the top eave that he replaced) was clearly buckled / rippling. I emailed Marc right away to make him aware of the problems and to say that I assumed repairs would be under warranty. Marc responded via email the same day to say that he would come by to look at the fascia, but with a response on the loose siding that it was "a systematic problem due to the original installation." He went on to say that his repairmen used some small trim nails on the edges to keep it in place, but obviously didn't remain secured past a few strong winds and that the permanent solution would be "to remove all of the siding, at least on that gable and re-secure each panel by nailing into the framing every 12" - 16", as industry standards recommends." Nothing had ever been mentioned to me previously about any problem with my siding or with his ability to make a permanent repair, so this response took me greatly by surprise. Three days later I received another email from Marc after he stopped by to examine the fascia, which he said were showing "expected waves and indentures". He also said that he face nails the aluminum on all custom trim wraps to prevent blow-off, but that the aluminum is very thin and prone to "flexing." Again, nothing that was ever mentioned during the estimate or installation process that this was a performance trait I should expect. I have lived in my house for over 7 years (the siding and fascia were put on before then), and never have I had "expected waves and indentures" on any of my fascia. The fact that I would have them within 6 weeks of a new install was completely unacceptable to me. Also, the fact that the siding popped out within 6 weeks of the repair indicated to me a problem with Clearview's service, not the original installation, as he said in his follow-up email. If he had seen a problem with the original installation and thought he couldn't make the repair, I would have expected him to notify me of that either at the time of estimate or the time of service, since my repair request clearly indicated a needed repair to the siding. Essentially, Marc's final response via email to the two failures in his repair were that I should pay again to have him come make the siding repair "properly" (or he invited me to go back to the original installer, whoever that might be), and that I should deal with the way the fascia has warped and accept it as appropriate quality. It's a shame that this is how Marc chooses to stand behind his product and service, because he did everything up front the right way. And as much as I hate to think it, I have to wonder if he would have had the same flip response to this issue had I been a man. I research all purchases carefully, and I have to say that I have never had such a frustrating and ridiculous experience with someone refusing to stand behind his work.

I recommended them for the small repair. The service was wonderful. Everything went smoothly. They were courteous. They are reliable, honest, and trustworthy people.

Mark called me back a couple of hours after I called the office. When I explained what we needed, he said it sounded like an easy fix and said it would cost around $100 to repair. He said they would try to get out the following week to repair it. Another Angies List company actually came out and gave us an in person estimate of $275! We did have to wait a couple more days than expected to have the work done, but when the guys got here they were finished within about 10 minutes. They replaced the fascia with a new piece and matched it up very well. You have to look closely to notice that it's newer than the rest. They also put the soffit panels back into place. I received a bill in the mail a few days later for $98.17! Not sure how the other guys could have told me it would cost almost $300 when Clearview did exactly what was needed for 1/3 the price! As usual, I was very pleased with Clearview and will continue to use them when needed. I will also recommend them to my friends. We previously used Clearview for a small siding and porch roof project 4 years ago. It all still looks brand new so I have no doubt in the quality of the products they use or the services they perform.

I liked them. They were prompt and professional. They installed the windows very quickly and very neatly. The price was as they said. I had no problems whatsoever.

Marc and his company were wonderful to work with! His presentation was very professional and we knew he wasn't trying to sell us anything we didn't need. He is extremely friendly and always responded right away if we had any questions or concerns. During the install we had a horrible time with the weather while they were trying to complete the work, so it took a little longer than expected. His crew even tried to work when it was below freezing but the equipment and materials wouldn't cooperate due to the cold! We had a couple of issues with the door surround and pediment but they were addressed immediately by Marc and corrected to our complete satisfaction. Each day when they were finished it was impossible to tell that they had been there because they made sure the area was spotless before they left. I highly recommend Marc and wouldn't hesitate to use him again in the future.

Presentation was professional.No pressure. When I made the decision to use Clearview I gave a deposit and final payment on completion. Work and quality was excellent along with the cleanup. Overall experience was good.

The existing windows were approx. 20 years old and needed replacement badly. They were only single pane glass and could feel air coming in around the frames and did nothing to muffle the noise in the neighborhood. I selected three companies for bids and met with them all at the end of October. I wanted to have the work completed by year end to take advantage of the energy tax credits. All three contractors were selected from Angie's List. Marc came to my home and presented his product and showed samples of the window and siding. He was very easy to talk to and I did not feel pressured in any way. He answered all my questions and came across as an honest businessman. Actually, all three of the contractors I spoke with made this high anxiety purchase as pleasant as possible. I selected Clearview because of the professionalism of Marc Kabak and the fact that he could perform the work prior to the end of the year. The price was reasonable (to receive the tax credits, a higher quality of windows and siding had to be purchased) and comparable to the other bids received. He used installers that had worked for him for several years. The windows and siding were ordered in November and took 2-3 weeks to come in. Marc called me and he gave me a date of the Monday after Thanksgiving to install the siding. The materials were dropped off on Monday and the workers arrived promptly at 7:30 on Tuesday. The work was not completed that week because the installers took a few days off for deer season. But they returned the following Monday and finished the job by Wednesday. The windows came in and were installed on the Tuesday of that week. Separate workers did the window installation and arrived at 9:00 AM and had the work finished by 5:00 PM, including clean up. They worked steadily all day and did not take time out for lunch. They covered the floor where necessary to keep from tracking dirt into the house. Also, they were able to identify a leak around the window and the installation addressed the problem, which was a huge relief to me. After a beautiful, long fall, the weather took a turn for the worse once the installation began. The temps got down as low as the teens during this time, but the workers continued the job. It may have slowed them down a bit because of the need for winter attire, but there was no stoppage of work. Overall, I am very pleased with the work. The windows and siding look great and I was able to receive the energy tax credits. The house feels very snug and the outside noise has been reduced considerably. The work was completed just in time for the first snow storm of the winter. I would definitely hire Marc and his crew again, and strongly recommend Clearview to anyone looking for a window or siding contractor.
