David Maurer and his crews did an outstanding job. The quality of their workmanship was outstanding. They took time to do things right and had the knowledge and experience to make our new deck perfect. The guys that worked on the deck were professional, polite, all got along together, it was a great team effort. Prior to meeting David Maurer, we talked to three other deck building companies here in St. Louis. David was fourth. Of the three other companies, we liked zero of them, heavy sales pressure, condescending attitudes, exorbitant prices (one of them was almost triple the cost of C Maurer), and I kept getting the impression they thought I was stupid, and they could tell me anything. David Maurer was a great find. He's honest, worried about what we wanted, not what he wanted to sell us. It was an overall great relationship with C. Maurer.

It went wonderfully! And so fast! My old deck was gone and my new deck up in less than two weeks. David was very easy to work with and completely trustworthy. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend his company to anyone. My new deck is beautiful!!

Working with David Maurer and his son Jack was great. David kept me informed each day on what was going on regarding the deck project. His communication and work was great! We have a new beautiful looking Timbertech deck with new rails and lighting.

C Maurer did a great job replacing my deck. They were referred by my neighbor. Good attention to detail. The owner had some good ideas about design. I could tell he’s been at this for awhile. I got three bids and was worried a little because they were the cheapest but I ended up being really happy.

David had completed a deck for our friends, and he came highly recommended. Great experience and final result. We wanted a very specific deck built after pool construction. Builder thinks outside the box when facing challenges and comes up with ingenious solutions.

The finished product is beautiful! We ran into a couple supply chain issues, but communication and follow through was good. There was a bit more clean up from the concrete guys than I anticipated, but I know how tough it is to find contractors these days.

The crew was fantastic, and David was very responsive. Building in the winter presented reasonable challenges and delays, but the guys handled it efficiently and with as much humor as possible.

It’s worth the wait! I highly recommend Dave and his crew, Jordan and Adam. We started our project durring Covid along with every one of the expected hurdles that came with it. Dave kept us informed at every step. He was very helpful with the design and choices of material. We had to replace a thirty year old deck and driveway fence. The results are better than we expected. The crew are craftsmen. They are professional,respectful,honest and personable. The worksite was always left clean and on the occasion of conflicts with other projects we were always informed. The cost was competitive and quality superior. Any small corrections or revisions were done promptly. I highly recommend CMauer for your next deck.

This was the first time we had a deck removed and new one built so going through the whole process was quite nerve wrecking. We were pleased with the various designs Dave Mauer suggested, as well as the types of materials from which to choose. Dave and his team were very professional and kept us updated on permit status and inspections. Our experience was very good and we would be quick to refer him/his company to anyone looking for decking work to be done!

Dave at C Maurer Building and his crew are very professional. Dave was working on this project with us for a while and all went well. Even with the delays we as an American society were going through in the last 1.5 years with COVID, unemployment being so generous people are not wanting to work, and the scarcity of home improvement supplies making it a real pain to get everything needed for a job, we always felt assured that Dave was on top of getting our project done as soon as possible. Even when there was a delay or a change that needed to be made to our plans, and they are inevitable with home improvement projects, we always felt secure in Dave's direct, patient, and quick response communications. We enjoyed having the same crew here for our entire project, as we got to know them, and they were always very pleasant to be around. They did a great job with set up and clean-up daily, and we always felt safe. It was a true pleasure doing this project with C Maurer Building, and we do highly recommend them.

Whole job went smoothly. They showed up when they said they would, they responded quickly to inquiries, they suggested enhancements which turned out well, and the results were exactly as we envisioned. After looking at my project, my neighbors tried to hire them.

Work was outstanding. Stated earlier than scheduled, and got everything done in less than 3 weeks despite extreme winter weather. Deck looks great. We highly recommend!

The crew from C. Maurer Building was great to work with. We needed serious repair on our rotting deck stairs. They came out in a timely manner and were super affordable. The repair looks absolutely amazing and we are very satisfied with the outcome. When it is time to replace the entire deck, we will for sure be using this company again.

David was incredibly professional and personable. He oversaw a smooth process from taking our vision through planning and permitting and finally building and inspection. After receiving bids from multiple contractors his was the most competitive and he finished the project on budget. We had spots of bad weather that kept him from making progress and he was proactive in managing the timeline and our expectations. Additionally he employs good knowledgeable people.
