Welcome to Bill's Appliance, Inc.! At Bill's Appliance, Inc. we inventory a complete line of appliances. No matter if you are looking to buy a dishwasher, oven, stove, refrigerator, washer/dryer or cooktop we should be your first and only stop.
Difficult to get the final scheduling in, as their prior job ran long, and I had to re-schedule, but it all worked out. On the initial visit that seemed like they might not need to un-stack the dryer off the washing machine, but it was necessary, and they had to come back to do it. In spite of this turning into 2 trips for them, they gave me the same single-visit price

The repair person from Bill's came on time and called ahead and did a thorough check and was honest about what cost and outcome would be if the appliance was repaired, versus buying new. In the end, we did decide to go with a new one and the people at Bill's were most helpful in explaining different dishwasher features and answering questions. The service call charge of our repair evaluation was applied as a credit towards our purchase. Finally, the delivery/installation guys were on time and very efficient on installation day. We were happy with the outcome and the new dishwasher.
Description of Work: We needed to have a dishwasher evaluated to see if it could be repaired or if money would be better spent buying new.

Mark came and fixed it but over the phone the store told me things to try first before paying him to come out. Unfortunately that didn't work and he had to come anyway, but I appreciate the time they spent trying to save me money! In the past we shopped around for appliances buying at big box stores at sale prices. Never again! Try to get honest, reliable service from those places down the road! Ugh! Bill's stands behind everything they sell. And they go OUT OF THEIR way to fix things for you at the lowest cost to you. I never buy anything from anywhere else AND I DONT CALL anyone else for service! I recommend this store to all my friends. I'm not much of one to write reviews but I know how hard it is to decide who to work with and when you find a good place I think it should be shared!

Excellent. Bill's has a thorough knowledge about the product line has an excellent extended warranty program and submitted all the necessary rebate information to me in a complete package so I could submit the information. Although they ran into installation problems with our home plumbing, they had a plumbing contact who was able to immediately install a shut-off valve and the dishwasher. Price was very competitive and service was a cut above. Excellent experience.

I would highly recommend them. They back up their merchandise that they sell. They provide really good service and don't carry appliance that they personally wouldn't recommend.

What we really liked about them was their personalized service. They didn’t try to sell us the most expensive but they sold us appliances that set our needs. Their philosophy was why make you spend more money when you are not going to be happy with what you get. They were very responsive to what we needed, we got. We ordered the stuff and we got it installed within two business days. The installers were very punctual. They were very careful about removing the old appliances and they said that they reuse the old appliances for parts. We liked the fact that they were recycling stuffs. They worked quickly and efficiently. In fact when they pulled old dishwasher out the installer pointed out to me a place in our drywall that had a pretty good sized hole and he told us that it was where some cold air was coming in and could be an entry way for critters. So he took some mason that he had and covered the hole and we were very appreciative that he was that attentive to detail. We would use them again in a heartbeat. We had an excellent experience.

It was a little bumpy at first only because the refrigerator when received at Bill's had a dent in the side. They called and we discussed the dent and we decided to have a new machine sent out. I was fully informed by Bill's about the potential for a delay but they kept me informed the whole way. And one of the nice things about this particular issue was the refrigerator (the first or the one I finally received) never made it to my door before Bill's checked it out before delivery. I appreciated this since I do have to take off work for deliveries like this. Also when I bought the refrigerator Jim also let me know that at the time of delivery when the men come to install it they will be checking the line for the ice maker. The newer ice makers have a larger line opening and it might be best to have that replaced now rather than when the machine starts to clog because the line isn't big enough to handle the water needed. Jim gave me the additional cost should that be needed when the men arrived. Because of the age of my refrigerator I was pretty sure I was going to need that but I liked the fact that Jim mentioned it and I was ready for that cost. Now the second refrigerator did take a little longer than Bill's anticipated but again they stepped up and worked with me and the distributor and I was very happy with the final product I received and it and it was well worth the wait. Bill's really treated me right and to me when things don't go exactly as planned that is what makes the difference between a good store and a great one. Bill's is a great one. Both Jim and Erin really made the difference in my experience. And this was my first experience with Bill's but it will not be the last. The delivery men also we very pleasant and came in and did their job and finished promptly. The both knew what they were doing and that whole experience was also another reason that I will go back to Bill's.

Loved the fact that he not only cleared up the ice, but also knew what to do to make sure it doesn't happen again. The manufacturer should have thought of this. Service man was very professional, knowledgeable and was quick
Description of Work: Disassembled panels in bottom freezer and cleared out all built up ice, cleared drain and made sure it was flowing properly. then pulled out fridge and cleaned clogged drain tube, opening up plastic grommet that was causing the blockage. Told me that now it was a wider orifice to drain, I should never have the problem again.

I like him a ton. They do great work. They are just as honest as the day is long. He is not a big company but he is very honest and he does good work. He stands behind it. He will tell me that I can do things myself so I can save money. He is top drawer. When my kid went to college, he found an old washer and dryer and fixed it up. Then he gave it to us for a low price. He does things that are well beyond. He takes care of all of my family. He takes care of everybody. If I call and leave a message that I have a problem, I have a call by 7:30 or 8 in the morning.
Description of Work: I used Bill's Appliance to fix a dishwasher. He showed me how to do it myself.

I am still trying to smell out. I did not want a service man to com out because the smell is more serious than a drawer. There must be a problem with Bill's Appliance it got dumped on me.He took advantage of me as a senior and woman He could not look at me in the eye when he sold it to me. His ware house is 30 miles away in Washington MO The smell is far more serious and he knew it. I think the smell of the plastic drawer(s) has seeped into the insulation of the refrigerator or he sold it to me used. I never did get a bin for the ice cubes. I did not get any warranty slip from him just a verbal 90 days. When I went into the store she asked it it was used. The date is just an estimate. F should stand for FAILED I tried BBB too I think you are better because you can reach the people like me better.
Description of Work: I bought an Amana bottom freezer, textured finish black from Bill's Appliance who which I have dealt with for years. But the refrigerator has a bad odor to it. and I can't get rid of' I have had it for about a month and one-half. Verbally he said 90 days for a return so I have been trying to get the smell out. When I went to the store to see about returning it the said I have had for a month and that Bill (the owner) would not take it back.. It has been sitting in his warehouse I don't know how long. Plus I did not receive a bin for the ice cubes to fall into. The meat drawer has almost an half-inch. gap and that is the meat tray. So I still have the refrig and he hung up on me. His helper and him put all the blame on me. I am a senior and a woman and they took advantage of the situation. I had back surgery and that was why I needed the freezer on the bottom. I haven't heard of Amana for many years. So I feel stuck and scammed. His helper also stole my extra copper tubing that my husband bought to install the other refrig himself and again he told I was wrong. I paid over $1200.00 for it.

Bill's Appliances is usually not able to make immediate calls,but they show up on time for their appointments. Repairman was prompt and explained work to be done and costs involved. Although the cost was more than I would have liked, I don't think this was necessarily the fault of the company, but rather the part that needed to be replaced. My dishwasher was not that old, so it was still cheaper to repair than to replace. I would probably call Bill's Appliances in the future.
Description of Work: Repaired dishwasher. They had to order a pump to replace malfunctioning one. Everything was finished on time.

This was not an easy "fix," since the existing hole (in a new quartz countertop!) was sized for an ancient appliance. Today's cooktops are not the same measurements! In fact, it was a nightmare to find anything that could be installed in the countertop, even with modifications (like re-cutting a bit here and there). Erin (at the store) and I each worked very hard to find anything that was suitable, and when I finally found it, the brand was not something Bill's typically sold. However, I really wanted to do business with them, and Erin pursued the possibility of getting the cooktop for me, rather than my having to go elsewhere. I told her the best price I had been able to find, and within 2 days, she called back, saying they could get it for me *and* Bill called me separately to tell me they'd match the price I found! A few days later the installers returned with the cooktop, and thankfully they really did know what they were doing, because it was a tricky install, to say the least. The job was done in less than 3 hours (including hauling away the old cooktop), and I did not pay a penny (even for the appliance) until it was completed. I could not be happier. I would never have known about this family-owned company if I hadn't read reviews on Angie's list, so I'm doing my part here to continue the ratings contributions.
Description of Work: Our 25-year-old cooktop malfunctioned and Bill sent out their installers to assess needs (no replacement parts are manufactured for this model any longer) including measurements to fit a new appliance in the existing countertop opening, etc. There was no charge for this service, since I intended to purchase a replacement from Bill's Appliances. The installers were clearly experienced; they arrived on time with appropriate paperwork, assessed the situation, got what they needed, and left. The next step was mine - to buy a cooktop that fit the existing space. So, I contacted the store directly to arrange purchase and installation.

No problems. Work done as expected. I have used them 3-4 times for appliance repair. They have a flat rate of $69 for every service call. Each time I've used them the work is done in less than an hour and the labor rate, on top of the service call charge, has always been $48. So count on a minimum $117 visit before parts.
Description of Work: One of the electric burner coils on our cooktop would not maintain a high heat setting. Contacted Bills on 10/13 for service. They scheduled service on 10/15. Service tech arrived on time. He replaced the receptacle on cooktop. Work was completed within approx. 30 minutes.

I called for service on 12/17 and they scheduled me for work on 12/22 in the morning. Tech arrived on time. Diagnosed the problem quickly and was done within 30-45 minutes. We have not had the problem since the repair.
Description of Work: We had ice accumulating in the bottom of our freezer. The service tech arrived on time. He removed the ice from the bottom of the freezera dn the defrost drain. Cleared the defrost drain and flusher drain.

Service went as expected. It took about an hour.
Description of Work: Our refrigerator was making hollow ice cubes. My husband bought a new ice maker which he thought was correct but when he installed it our freezer started having standing water in it. I called Bills on 7/2 to set up a service call. It was scheduled for 7/6. Service tech arrived on time. He said the valve on the refrigerator needing replacing, not the entire ice maker. He replaced the valve and check the fill on the ice maker. This corrected the hollow ice cube problem.

We LOVE doing business at Bill's Appliances. Bill's daughter, Erin, consistently offered excellent advice and suggestions during our decision making process. She listened to our needs. She suggested models with fewer bells and whistles and a lower price tag because we didn't need all those extras! Although it meant more paperwork she offered us tips about rebate offers we wouldn't have known otherwise. We saved money with those suggestions! Purchase went smoothly. There were some small glitches that could not be avoided but they were handled smoothly and to our satisfaction. Service is excellent. We know we are valued customers because that's how we were treated! Yes, Bill's will either move old appliances or haul away. Installation charges were discussed at time of sale so there were no surprises.

Bill is a great guy. He meets any prices from other competitors. Immediate delivery is available and they even take away the old appliances. When I call for repair he shows up in a very timely manor...usually the next day.

They are very professional and are very careful to make sure everything is working before they leave. They really know their appliances as I have even bought appliances over the phone. I tell them exactly what I want. They listen and deliver the perfect appliance to my home. The only complaint that I would have is the repairman's clothes smell of cigars and I find that distasteful.

The store was very unprofessional. The sales lady did not know anything about the gas top stove we were looking for. The store itself was dingy, drab and very uninviting. We decided to shop elsewhere. I think Bill must make his money on new home builder sales and installs because he sure doesn't know how to retail!

AFTER HAVING SOMEONE COME TO MY HOUSE TO MEASURE THE DIMENSIONS OF THE DOUBLE OVEN/MICROWAVE COMBINATION THAT I WANTED INSTALLED IN MY HOME, I FOUND MYSELF HAVING TO CHASE AFTER BILL TO GET THE ESTIMATE AND DISCUSS THE WORK THAT I WANTED DONE. WHEN I ASKED HIM IF HIS LACK OF RETURNING MY PHONE CALLS WAS BECAUSE HE DIDN'T FEEL HE COULD PERFORM THE WORK, HE RESPONDED THERE WAS NO REASON THAT HE DIDN'T CALL BACK OTHER THAN HE ''GOT CAUGHT UP IN OTHER THINGS''. TRULY A DISAPPOINTMENT AS I WAS SO READY TO GO FORWARD WITH THE PROJECT. HOW UNFORTUNATE FOR BILL AS THE PROJECT WAS WORTH AT LEAST $2000.
