This is an old and drawn out story. I'm not going into every detail because they are no longer worth my time. As of today January 22, 2013, my gutters still leak. Pieces of the old gutters are still attached to my house. The downspouts don't fit to my gutters, leaving a 1/4 - 1/2" gap. They terminated a downspout onto the sidewalk because they couldn't figure out how to fit it into the drain pipe. I'll say one positive thing, the gutters only "Look good." It took me three months in dealing with this unprofessional company to get my gutters right. It only took the roofs one day to install my roof and it doesn't leak. My house was re-painted in one week. The main problems that I had with their company is that they don't communicate within the company-you deal with multiple employees and none relay messages to each other. It took three times for them to come out and try and fix the problems and still couldn't fix them. I even sent them videos of the leaks onto my sidewalk. Now my sidewalks are iced over where the leaks are. Their excuse is that sometimes gutters do leak when they are installed. Ok, but does it take three times to caulk over caulk and still leak? Is that really the way to fix the problem? The gutters are slanted in the wrong direction. Damon Shultz, owner claims that they offer a life time warranty. It took them several weeks to get back to fix it.but it'll take a life time to get them to come back out and fix the problem. One owner said they fired the group that installed the gutters and the other owner says they still work for them. When the owner came out, he got all defensive and left the property. I honestly don't think that he would have put up with all of this. They demand their money when the job isn't finished. They claim that I still owe them money and had my lawyer send them a letter that they did not respond to. All I was asking was for them to fix my leaks and finish the job and I'll pay them for a job complete. So now, I'm having someone else come out to fix my newly install gutters. My advise. Don't use Five Star Exteriors. Get someone that specializes in gutters only! And don't pay in full until the job is done and done professionally. Also read over the contract and ask all questions and get things in writing. This is the first contractor that I have used from Angies list. I'm so unhappy with the whole thing that I may never use a contractor from Angies list again.
Description of Work: They unprofessionally instaled 5" gutters with 3"x4" downspouts that leak.

They did a good job and I was satisfied with their work. They were a little more expensive than I thought they would be for the small job.
Description of Work: Scott's Quality Seamless Gutters made a small repair to my gutters.

Scott's Quality Seamless Gutters, LLC. were subcontractors on this job (See report on Riley's General Contracting, LLC.) I wanted to provide a report on them because they were so prompt, so fast, so cooperative, and so professional in their work. They arrived on site about noon. After taking measurements and conferring with the general contractor, they formed the necessary metal and installed it by nightfall. One neighbor was having leak problems with recently installed gutters. Scott inspected their gutters, showed them some mistakes their previous installer had made and contracted to correct those mistakes. Within 2 days, Scott returned to the neighborhood and made the necessary corrections. We also discovered the Scott had installed gutters on at least one other neighbor's house on our street. I spoke with that neighbor who was very satisfied with Scott's work.
Description of Work: Scott's Quality Seamless Gutters formed and installed 6" gutters and 3" x 4" downspouts completely around our house . In addition, they formed metal trim for the fascia boards and devised and provided metal finishing strips to cover the back of the cedar fascia boards.
