+ -1 moreThe condominium board requested that Candid inspect and report on all of the complex's roofs individually by condominium address (10 addresses), and provide photographs to substantiate needed repairs. Candid's bid and report were professionally written and clear. The report contained both a summary section, a detailed report body with findings by building address and recommendations for repair. The board was quite pleased with the report and used it to solicit bids from roofing companies for the needed repairs.

+ -1 moreSteve was at the address prior to my arrival - very prompt and professional. Steve was very thorough with his inspection, looking at areas and details that I would never have imagined. His explanation during the inspection was very helpful and educational. He kindly answered all questions, and there were many. His report was extremely detailed and precise, very professional. based on some of the findings, we eventually had to back out of the contract. There was severe termite damage that I would never had suspected (nor did the sellers). Due to that finding, and concerns with potential settling after replacement of a load bearing beam, my wife and I decided we were not prepared to take on that level of risk in our new home. Thanks to a thorough and honest inspector, as well as the Pest Management specialist recommended by Steve, my wife and I were able to uncover a hidden problem and avoid a potential nightmare down the road.
Description of Work: Complete home inspection for a 21 year old home we had contracted to purchase.

+ -1 moreI was very pleased with Steve Shorette, our inspector, and the company in general. They went out of their way to accommodate our tight schedule and came out on Saturday morning. Steve was actually early, and got to work right away. He was very helpful in explaining minor repairs and how to prevent any future problems. Our radon reading was high, and Candid's radon inspector called me right back to explain my options and even provided references for mitigation, which really helped. Overall, Steve was very thorough and helpful, and the company couldn't have done a better job. We will use them again for our next home purchase.

+ -1 moreWe were very pleased with their service. Ron did a great job and provided us with a very detailed report on all of the problems. He also put pictures in the report of where there were problems so we knew what he was referring to. The price was also less than other companies quoted us.

+ -1 moreI was really pleased with the thoroughness, willingness to answer my questions, and the final polished product I received. A great experience throughout! I couldn't have asked for anything more.
Description of Work: I had a home inspection done prior to buying my house last year. My realtor had recommended Steve Shorette. I felt confident using him since he was president of the association of home inspectors. I was able to schedule a home inspection at a time convenient for me and was very pleased with the process. He took at least a dozen photographs around my home and assembled them into a pdf and word document that has been an important guide to learning about my home. During the process, Steve educated me about my house (I'm a first-time owner) and answered all my questions. When he pointed out concerns, he was very clear about whether this was something I should ask the owners to change immediately, or something I should think about handling during the first year or so of owning. Because my home is 50+ years old, Steve also educated me about some of the quirks of older systems in the house, what I should worry about and what is just part of the character of the era.

+ -1 moreTHE INSPECTOR ARRIVED EARLY AND BEGAN THE ROOF INSPECTION. HE WAS DRESSED PROFESSIONALLY AND FULLY EQUIPPED WITH ALL THE MOST UP TO DATE EQUIPMENT AND TECHNOLOGY. HE PRINTED THE REPORT ON SITE. THE REPORT WAS COMPLETE WITH COLOR AND DIGITAL PHOTOS.
Description of Work: THE COMPANY PERFORMED A HOME INSPECTION ON A RESALE HOME IN THE ARNOLD AREA.
