They did a fabulous job:
Description of Work: I had 2 outlets added and a smoke dectector which had to be wired to the system. We also added a GFI in another room.

Description of Work: Bates Electric re-wired part of our phone system which had been incorrectly installed by the previous homeowner ($170). Previously, we had Bates repair other electrical wiring in our house and install two difficult fixtures ($360). The Bates electricians on both jobs were knowledgeable and very resourceful.

Description of Work: Bates was very prompt to follow-up with an estimate for the installation of a replacement bathroom ventilation fan. Called to arrange the job on a Monday and was able to get it scheduled 1st thing the next day. Technician called @ 6:40a & indicated he would be here in 30 minutes. He was on time and completed the job successfully. Aaaah, the silence of the fan! Also replaced 2 CFCIs that were outdated at our request. Tech was very accomodating and professional, took time to explain why the repairs were necessary.

They were on time. I asked him where the best places would be to put them and he asked me where I would like them. He was very helpful. They had a coupon in the back of the phone book for 10 percent off the price, and he told me that since I was a senior citizen, he would give me the discount that was the greatest.

HE SAID HE DIDN'T HAVE THE "FIRE X" MODEL ON HIS TRUCK AND THEN HE SUGGESTED HE COULD REWIRE ALL EIGHT OF MY SMOKE ALARMS. HE ALSO SAID TO ME "BE SURE TO BUY 8 MODELS SO THAT WHEN HE CAME BACK HE COULD REWIRE THEM FOR ME. I TOLD HIM "I'M GOING TO GO AND TRY AND FIND A REPLACEMENT. I WENT TO HOME DEPOT AND BOUGHT TWO SMOKE DETECTORS AND TWO ADAPTERS AND IT ONLY COST ME $22 PLUS TAX. THEY WERE IN 1 PACKAGE. THE PROBLEM IS FIXED. I WOULD NOT HAVE MINDED PAYING IF HE HAD ADVISED ME, BUT HE DIDN'T.
Description of Work: THEY CAME TO HOME AND TOLD ME I WOULD HAVE TO REPLACE ALL OF MY SMOKE DETECTORS IF I COULD NOT FIND A REPLACEMENT FOR ONE OF MY EIGHT SMOKE DETECTORS. HE CHARGED ME $72 FOR A SERVICE CALL AND $72 FOR 5 MINUTES OF LABOR.
