Bates Electric - St Louis

Went Great! Very professional, explained what work needed to be done to fix my situations and also I learned some valuable lessons for the future. Also, was able to complete all the work in one hour which meant a LOT to me.

Service person, Justin, was on time, pleasant and obviously competent and knowledgeable.

Electrician was helpful and answered several questions I had.

Technician was very professional, but looked a little sloppy. Rewiring work was done wonderfully. Fan works great. Cleaned up very well. Helped husband with suggestions for dry wall repair necessated by wiring to ceiling. Good Job and we will use them again in the future.

I wanted a ceiling fan fixed, new receptacles put in two outlet, my hall light fixed and an estimate on canned lighting. The technician was friendly, but seemed like he didn't really want to be there. He couldn't figure out the problem on the ceiling fan so it never got fixed. He replaced the two plugs and fixed the hall light. When he left and I thought about it --it cost me three hundred dollars to replace two receptacles and to get my hall light working. I never did get a true estimate on the canned lighting.

I am very satisfied with Bates Electric. I will use them again. I will not use anybody else.

The total experience was terrific. I was shopping at Home Depot, and while talking to one of the sales people mentioned that I had a long list of projects I needed help with. At the top of my list were a number of electrical projects. The salesman, Michael, said that they use Bates Electric when customers need electrical work done and asked if I would like to be in touch with them. I gave Michael my contact information and didn't think any more about it. The next day (Sunday!!), I got a phone call from Richard at Bates Electric. He reviewed the list of projects I wanted done and set up an appointment for a technician to come out to the house. Richard was friendly and courteous. He went out of his way to make sure that the appointment was scheduled at a time that was convenient for me. On Tuesday morning, exactly as expected, Travis knocked on my door. He was just a pleasant and professional as Richard had been over the phone. The first thing he did was to run through the list of work I wanted done and asked if there was anything else I would like to add while he was there. Then he started running through the list. I was surprised by how quickly and well he completed each task. Travis got rid of all the broken components and cleaned up any mess that might have been made while he was working. Better still, he took the time to talk with me about each project to make sure that I understood what he was going to do and to verify that I was happy with the way each task was completed. Between the fair price, great service, and excellent treatment, I am sold on Bates Electric.

The electrician, Randall D., confirmed with us what should be done, outlined his plan of action, and made suggestions along the way, e.g. instead of installing light with fan, we had a separate light which would be located for better lighting and ease of operation. Everything he suggested worked out perfectly, and the project ended up better than we had anticipated. He kept us updated on his progress through the day, extremely conscious of cleaning up the worksite and was very professional. The Bates office scheduled the service and kept us apprised of the inspector visit. This was the best experience we have had with electrical work. I would highly recommend Bates Electric, especially Randy --he was the best!

It all went great. He did exactly what I asked for and was very professional in his manner.

They did a good job installing the generator and we have not had any problems with it. The generator we purchased was the gennerac which is the top rated amongst all generators.

We live in a 100 year old house that has had generations of do-it-yourselfers and odd-jobbers futzing with the electrical system. We also had some of the original knob and tube wiring still in use. The technician from Bates came out and did a thorough inspection then drew up a detailed plan to fix it. My wife and I also decided to modernize our fixtures and add some new outlets. We felt that the estimate was very reasonable given the amount of work that had to be done. The job went very smoothly. These guys are consummate professionals. They showed up on time every morning and cleaned up after themselves every afternoon. They had to cut access holes in the walls and ceilings to run new wiring, but they were very neat and clean about it. We had a contractor patch the holes for us, now you can't tell where they were. I feel much safer knowing that the wiring in our house was installed by experts. If I ever need more electrical work again, I'll certainly use Bates.

They are top notch. I liked their professionalism, knowledge, and speed. They got everything done right, they pulled all of the permits, and they did everything that I wanted them to do. He even gave me a little ho-to on the generator before he left. They are sharp. The sales staff and workers really knew what they were doing. They aren’t the cheapest.

They did what I needed them to do, arrived on time, and charged me what they said they would. The guy that came out was quick and great. He solved my problem. So many companies don't do what you want, but Bates did. Also they finished on time.

Everything went great and they were good. It is a good company. Their prices were fair and they got things done on time. The person spent around 2 days here for the work. I would use them in the future.

We called their 24-hour emergency response number at 11:00 p.m. the preceding evening. Lauren, who was amazingly awake and professional at this hour, described the costs of a potential hours service call. She actually saved us money by encouraging us to swtich off the main breaker (if we could stand the sudden late-spring heat wave) and wait until the next day. We set up a 12:30 p.m. appointment for Thursday, May 27th. The electrician was right on time. He quickly tested the panel, turned off the power at the meter, and replaced the main breaker. He also moved the left side of the panel around since the corrosion that had damaged the main breaker had also damaged the buss(?) bar. He did great work. This company seems solid from its office staff to its electricians. Highly recommended!

I used them because they could do the trench and the electric together which a lot of electrical service companies don?t do. They gave me a good estimate. They did the trenching one day and the electrical work another day. They didn?t get it right the first time, but they came back and did it right. I would use them again in future.

The service was really good. He did it timely. It was a good job done. he asked to clean up, but I told him that I would do it, because I had to clean up myself. the price was good.

Had a concern about the battery leaking. Technician verified that was so. Informed to battery which would replace.
