ABC Quality Moving & Storage

Doug, Bill and Bill arrived right on time and went right to work. They had to move things like a 400 pound safe, a very heavy foosball table, a video arcade game, and all of our rooms of furniture. They took the utmost care with everything and were very sensitive to the fact that I wanted to keep my carpet clean throughout the process. I was very happy with this crew and would ask for them by name again. I have already recommended them to the couple moving into my own home and they are using them next weekend.

I called about a week a prior to get information. When I called back they remembered who I was. Able to get our move scheduled when we wanted. Movers showed up just when expected, in spite of snowfall that morning. Although a very rag tag looking bunch of guys, they were very hard working. Weather was quite cold and even with the 2 trucks and 4 guys, it was an all day job. We were very pleased with the job. All guys were very polite and respectful and total cost was just as quoted. Guys on crew were Kevin, Walt, Nick and Doug. This is the type of job that whatever the guys earn, probably isn't enough. They really did work hard and we really appreciate it.

We are very happy with them. They were excellent. When I called them about organizing right before we left, he came by for no charge to drop off boxes and he was on the phone with us holding our hand throughout the move. He was upbeat, positive, and very helpful. The move was smooth beyond belief. There were four movers that were very professional and they moved us as if we were family. We had a lot of books, about 75 boxes worth, and we thought they would be unhappy by the end of the day but they were very pleasant. The men that helped us were Kevin, Tim, Sam, and Bill and they were utterly sweet. What they quoted us was exactly what they it ended up being. We moved from one three floor house to another three floor house so they had to go up and down the stairs all day but they were very efficient. I think the price is a little higher than other movers but you pay for the quality of service; I thought what they charged was quite right.

The movers arrived early, moved all items without damaging them and stayed within budget. The movers were Doug, Walt and Dennis.

We chose them because they were cost-effective. We had received several estimates and they were lower than the others. We don?t recall their charges. We packed our things. They weren?t great. In fact, they came out late. Initially, they estimated that it would take only one truck to move our things, but it took two trucks. So, there was a huge delay and a lot of inconvenience. We will not use them again.

No problmems. No breakage. Very professional and courteous. Bill S. and Sam were helpful, mindful of the condition of various objects. Also made sure not to track dirt into residence as it had rained heavily recently.

Overall went fine. They even moved a HUGE rolltop desk to my basement without incident.

These guys - Kevin, Bil, Bill and James - were great! They showed up a few minutes before our scheduled time and got right to it. They surveyed the whole house and then immediately started moving boxes, furniture, etc. out of the house and onto the van. They started early on a Sunday morning and had everything moved out and on the van in about 3 1/2 hours. We were well prepared and had pretty much everything ready to go - and it was a 4 man crew - but they worked quickly and efficiently, both loading and unloading. They moved all of our stuff into a storage unit and carefully packed it in so that we could move it out ourselves if we had to. The guys were careful, courteous, proactive, professional, had a positive attitude throughout and worked well as a team. Entire job (with half hour break for lunch) took 8 hours. We shopped around a little bit and their price was extremely competetive - even with a higher rate for a 4 man crew working on a Sunday (we also had an Angie's list coupon fo $100 off!). We would definitely use them again in the future!

The movers arrived within the hour time window that I was given. Doug, Bill and Bill got right to work and quickly assessed the job at hand. They were able to move our larger pieces down our tight staircase very efficiently. We were still wrapping up items in our apartment but they were able to work around us, which was appreciated. Once everything was loaded onto the truck, they took an hour break for lunch and arrived at our new home to unload. They were quick to get all our furniture unloaded and put into the correct rooms. We appreciate the work that Doug, Bill and Bill did to make sure our move was a smooth process! We are very pleased with the work that they did!

The experience went excellent. They were not unnerved by the fact that we were not fully prepared upon arrival and that our home appeared to be in chaos. The men were courteous and prompt. I underestimated the amount of work it would take (I should have known better this was our fourth professional move) and they came back on a Sunday to unload. The men were quick to ask where large furniture pieces were to be placed and questioned to ensure if I was pleased with they way they were positioned. I would not hesitate to utilize their services again.

Because I had a small bridge to go over from the street to the house, they had to shuttle everything in a pickup truck over this bridge to the larger 26 ft truck. I also had a tremendous amount of glass tops including one 96 inch long and one inch thick that I at first was extremely concerned could be moved safely. Within 30 minutes I knew I had hired the right company and the right team. They worked at full force nonstop, except for a lunch break, for about a total of 10 hours. They were professional but also personable making sure all my questions and concerns were addressed. The truck was extremely well organized to ensure that my things for the first stop were nearer to the door. I had a few things that I wasn't sure whether they would fit in the condo or have to go into storage. They were very adaptable to this and ensured these things were accessible in the truck for both stops. All of them were very considerate and careful with unloading and placing all of my furniture in the right place.

The two men moving us were right on time. As we were going over the paperwork before they started the job, they noticed we had a $25 misc. charge on our bill. I said that was for the rental of a box for our flat screen, which they then told me was not with them. The move went well...they worked very hard and got everything into the truck quickly. Upon arriving at the house, I learned that a lamp had been damaged in the move, which I was told wasn't covered by the insurance before it was moved, so that was my choice. Later the next week, I discovered my dryer no longer works. It was fine when it left the apartment, and is now broken. I called ABC to let them know, and was told that without visable damage, there was nothing they could do about it. The man I spoke to told me he'd check into it, and get back to me. That was a week ago. I've called back once since, and was told basically the same thing, again with no return phone call. While there may not be a dent in my dryer, that's not to say that is was properly padded and packed in the truck, and I really feel ABC should be responsible for the repairs...but they won't call me back.

They arrived on time and got to work after seeing all what needed to be moved. They dismantled and reassembled beds and workout equipment. They stayed until the job was finished at 8:00 in the evening. Our movers were James L, Bill S., Walt, Timmy and James R. They worked together well and were flexible when we changed our minds about where something went. We would definitely hire them again in the future.

Fantastic! Dennis, Keith and Ryan arrived on time, introduced themselves and surveyed the townhouse for items to be moved before starting word. They removed doors and taped over the stairwell banister to protect both homes and our furnishings as they moved items on and off the truck. All items were handled with extreme care. Drawers and doors on dressers, cabinets, etc. were banded so the drawers would stay in place or removed and carried separately to protect them. We have extremely heavy furniture and some of that had to be carried around sharp turns in a narrow stairwell on the third floor. Despite difficult angles and narrow stairs they always demonstrated confidence and competence in getting every piece of furniture exactly where we wanted it to be! They were very careful to protect our hardwood floors when placing furniture in our living/dining area. When a scuff mark was made on the stairwell when carrying up one of the large pieces, they notified us immediately. We have moved many times across the U.S. and have a lot of experience with moves both good and bad. Office personnel at ABC before moving day and our crew (Dennis, Keith and Ryan) on moving day went to great lengths to make sure our move went smoothly and that our items were delivered in excellent condition. As for cost, we thought it was extremely reasonable and there were no surprises. 122$ per hour (this is the weekend rate, it would have been less if our move had been M-F) of actual work plus one hour added for travel to and from. For three moving men and a truck, licensed, insured and bonded it was a great deal. And a final, important note...these guys worked hard, in hot and humid conditions and never complained once. They took one short break but were otherwise always in motion, always working. A great moving experience in every way thanks to them!

I was very pleased with the move. The movers Bill S and Terrence were very careful with the bulky furniture and glass belongings.

ABC moved us from one 3 br 2 ba house to another, about a mile and a half down the road. They were very professional, showed up on time with 2 trucks and 4 men. All 4 on the crew seemed to years of professional moving experience. They were very attuned to what we wanted, and particularly to where we wanted things to go in the new place. I would highly recommended this company and would use them again.

From the very start the men introduced themselves and told us exactly what they would do and never took time to rest in between. They arrived on time and was polite and would move anything I asked. They never complained about the extremely heavy furniture and made the whole move very easy on my daughter and myself. When the truck was loaded they followed to the storage building and started unloading the minute we go there. I would use them again everytime I had something to move and would recommend them to everyone. I also saved a lot of money compared to other estimate I received and was given a $30.00 senior citizen discount which I really appreciated. I would ask for Walt and Bill S. again, they were great!

Started around 9:00 in the morning and finished around 3:30 in the afternoon. Pleasant and hard working people. Very much appreciated.

We had an excellent experience with our crew - Doug, Walt, and Rob. They arrived early, and worked quickly and efficiently. They were very polite, professional, and easy to work with. I would use them again in a heartbeat and would recommend their services to anyone moving within St. Louis.

The move went smoothly on all of the basics, including punctuality and care of the furniture. The crew of Steve and Kevin went beyond expectations in two areas. First, they perfectly and efficienty packed the POD so that contents would not shift during its storage. Second, they broke apart a large closet piece and put it back together at the move's destination, helping with the other pieces of the closet system as well. They worked for 6-7 hours (including driving) and never lost their energy and courteousness.

They were prompt, professional and friendly. They told me what they preferred not to move computer equipment, antiques or anything VERY breakable, etc. They also offered to put any of those things into my car for me so I did not have to do it. I have a large glass front display case and they told me because the glass on the front was very breakable, they had to put it in the truck to try to keep that from breaking because of the bouncing and jarring of the truck. It did arrive in one piece. They advised me about pieces of furniture because of the way they were made, what may happen when they are moved. They seemed to be very honest about what may happen so if it did, I was not surprised. The only things that broke were two crystal lamps that had been packed and I forgot about, BUT their contract states they are not responsible for breakage if they did not pack it and I understand that. I signed it, so I did not go back to them about the lamps.

We recently relocated from St. Louis, MO. to Columbia, MO. and used ABC Quality Moving to move our belongings. I called ABC Quality movers, gave them a list of items to be moved, and they gave me an estimate over the phone. The owner of the company, Mike, came to the home prior to the move to double check the accuracy of the estimate that I received over the phone from a staff member. The estimate was right on and we were off to a good start. The morning of the move the staff showed up 5 minutes early and ready to work. All of the employees were professional, courteous, and hard working. We were at both homes during the move and did not see any of the workers take more than a 5 min break. After everything was unloaded at the home in Columbia, we noticed that the treadmill did not work properly. One of the employees spoke up and took full responsibility by saying that after assembling the treadmill he checked the connections and accidentally pulled a wire out of the socket. He then called the owner of the company, Mike, who assured us that he would fix the treadmill at his expense. Mike ordered the part for the treadmill, drove to our home in Columbia from STL, and repaired the treadmill himself at his expense. I would definitely recommend ABC Quality movers to anyone looking for honest, hard working movers as well as use them in the future for our next move. I would have given ABC Quality moving all A's if the treadmill had not been damaged during the move.

James, Nick and Tim were right on time, in fact a few minutes early. The loaded our furniture in under an hour, including disassembling a crib. They were very careful with our things and pointed out preexisting damage or scuff marks whenever they noticed them. Upon arrival at the house, they efficiently unloaded, reassembled the crib, and did it all with a great attitude. All in, the whole move was under 3 hours.

They arrived on time with a crew of four guys even though I was quoted as getting three guys. They surveyed the stuff that needed to be moved and moved the stuff to be unloaded off the truck last first. One gentleman moved all the boxes while the other two took out the other pieces of furniture and the fourth loaded the truck. Everything was secured nicely and covered in blankets and padding. They followed me to my new house, unloaded the truck quickly and placed everything where I needed it to be. They allowed me to check the truck to make sure nothing was left over and then doubled checked the address of the next drop off. There they unloaded the truck and even moved a few pieces of furniture from the dining room to the garage.
