ABC Quality Moving & Storage

It was terrible! We have moved 13 times, so we know what it is like to move and what movers should do. The contents were falling out of the truck when they opened the door. They broke many things and rubbed many things and that shouldn?t have happened. They did a terrible job for being a moving company. And I know, because what is supposed to happen when you move and what should not happen when you move. There was one guy that was good and I could tell that he had packed before. He packed my good dishes and he did a real nice job. We had 5 guys packing, two with experience, three you could tell were brand new. They really didn?t know how to wrap things and they were very slow. It took them 12 hours to pack my house by 5 people. They showed up when they said they would. Responsiveness was real good. My coats were stuffed down into a box. They didn?t do what they were supposed to do, including packing the truck. That was a disaster! I absolutely would not use them again! This should not happen to anybody! Very poor! It cost way too much, it was $3,634 just them to pack our stuff. When they opened the truck upon arrival here in Texas, two men had to stabilize the contents because they were falling out of the back of the truck. They didn?t even use enough wrapping on my wood furniture, a lot of it was not wrapped and it was rubbed and gouged. They put a flat screen tv on top of a box and then piled all of these boxes on top, and the tv was crushed. They wrapped a 5-foot vase in one piece of paper and put it on top of the boxes. Then put boxes on top of that and crushed the vase. They put vases into vases without any padding, and the vases were all cracked inside. They tried using my clothes from the closet to pad around lamp bases, because they didn?t have enough packing materials. They were supposed to have mattress covers and they only had one of those. They should have had the padded paper for packing, which they had some of but not enough, so they didn?t wrap what they should have wrapped. They should not be in business, if this is what they do! They charged us for moving materials. We did not use that many moving materials, because I know when we unpacked things, how many of those paper blankets there were. They said we used 186 blankets, I believe we used just about 52 blankets. But, they charged us for 186.

Walt and Dave were a phenomenal . Not a single item was damaged. Great company if you need your stuff moved or stored. I had my stuff in ABC storage for a year and also had them move me this month. They were quick, friendly. Thank you ABC for such a good experience.

We have used ABC in the past and yet again, they were fantastic. I needed packing and moving services this time and they were wonderful. Everything was organized and labeled. I can't thank them enough. Really great team. Thanks to Kevin, Tim and Will for an outstanding move. We will continue to recommend you to all.

ABC Quality Moving & Storage did an exceptional job from start to finish. The office staff was wonderful setting up our move and answering all of our questions. Then on moving day, The crew: Billy & Dave, were so fast and efficient and professional. We could tell they were all very knowledgeable movers and had been working in the industry for a long time. We were very impressed with the company and will definitely recommend their services to all our friends and family!

Worst service ever. We used ABC services to move from one apt to another that was less than 3 miles away. Let me begin with describing what and how much stuff we had to move. There were 8 boxes, 2 dissembled beds (1 king and 1 queen) with their mattresses, one sofa, one dining table, a tv stand and a bookcase. It took more than 3 and half hours to move these items. The total time taken include 2 and a half hours to load into the truck, 15-20 mins of travel and approx half an hour of unloading. The moving time would have easily extended for another 2 - 3 hours had we not asked them to dump everything in the living room of our new apt. Later on, we moved and assembled everything by ourselves in the new apartment. The two guys who showed up were very slow and not coordinating at all with each other. They were moving stuff independently even things like mattress and box springs that definitely require two people. Even having an elevator in our apt building didn't help much in moving things quickly. They didn't seems to be professional. They were trying to take everything through the elevator, even things that wouldn't fit in the elevator including our queen mattress. We even asked them not to take queen mattress through the elevator but they didn't listen to us. Now, our mattress is making squeaky sound every time someone sits on it. It is no longer the same one that we had in previous apt. Also, scratches on bookcase and bed planks are common. We paid them at that time and called the ABC moving company next day to give feedback and share our moving experience. They said that they will investigate and get back to us, but we never heard back even after 1 week. We made another call after 1 week but got the same response that they would call us. As of today, two weeks have past but we haven't heard back from them yet. We didn't anticipate this kind of service from a moving company who is so highly rated online. We had the worst experience and would definitely won't recommend their services to anyone.

Cody R, Mario & Jesse were great to work with. Really appreciate the extra care they care some family pieces of furniture. Would definitely use ABC again.

ABC did a great job. They were prompt, professional and friendly. I would (and will) hire them again.

They were quick, punctual, professional and courteous. Their price was very competitive for a well-reviewed, quality company. Everything made the move in one piece, including several very expensive pieces of wood furniture that they took extra special care with once we pointed them out. They worked their butts off on a hot day and tried everything we asked them to try, even if it meant getting stuck and having to come back down the narrow, 90-year-old stairwell with a heavy desk. There were a lot of little extra touches that made the experience particularly memorable. They pointed out every bit of damage on our furniture before moving it so we knew it was there and wouldn't hold them accountable. They did a walk through of the house with us afterwards, so we could make sure that everything was done to our satisfaction and there was nothing else that needed moving. They politely disengaged with our crazy neighbor, who kept trying to chat with them, and turned down his offers of free beer because they were on the job. Finally, the oldest of them (I can't recall what his name was) gave us some great advice on how to fit things into rooms and up and down stairs, including a queen bed frame that was never going to make it to the second floor ("you hate to do it, but if I were you, I'd just cut it straight down the middle, fold it in half like a taco, bring it up and put it back together in the room." And yes, I did it one weekend and it worked! None of the people who have slept on it could tell until I pointed it out!). True professionals, would definitely hire again.

It went very well. The furniture arrived in excellent condition. There was one minor adjustment needed with one piece of furniture, but they addressed the situation to our full satisfaction.

Great! Great staff and the movers were hard working and took care of my items when the moved them. Wrapped as needed and took inventory of anything that was chipped or scratched prior to the move. Nothing broke and they moved me over2 hours away. Took two trucks and 4 men. Very nice crew! Would use again. Straight hourly cost, no additional charges. Simple, and cost less than many others in the area.

Tim H. And Steve R. Arrived on time and with smiles. They were friendly and helpful and worked hard to get my move down quickly but without damaging anything. I had more than expected and there was not a single complaint just hard work, smiles, friendly chit chat with my curious daughter and what I really loved is that we have a cat that my child was very worried about getting out....although busy whenever I called out for her, the guys always knew where my cat was. Great job by great people. I would gladly use this company and particularly Tim and Steve again.

The first contact on their website was easy and the initial estimate over the phone came in at a very reasonable rate for a long distance move. I had Mike come out to do a firm bid. He was very professional, answered all my questions, and gave me confidence that this was a company that knew how to do this kind of work. The contract was straightforward and easy to understand, and the dates were set for the move. The moving day was stressful for me because I had to preside over a two hour meeting at my old job during the first couple hours that the movers were on site. No problem. They had it under control, had an inventory completed and boxes and furniture going onto the truck. Kevin, Will and Robert were polite, easy to work with, and careful with all my boxes and furniture. It all went much faster than I expected. The stuff at my office went on the truck easily and after signing all the papers for the inventory, they closed up the truck and were off. Two mornings later Kevin and Will were at my new address in Pittsburgh, unloaded everything as easily and carefully as they had loaded it. They assembled furniture that needed it, and gently teased me about all my boxes of books (I am a professor). They stayed good natured through the entire morning and early afternoon, when they got the rest of the boxes to my new office. I must give a special shout out to Kevin and Will. While Mike and the office staff were pleasant and efficient, Kevin and Will are the guys who got it done and made the experience. I highly recommend ABC because of them.

I had to move out of my condo to redo my floors and walls after a burst pipe. Tim H., Steve R. And Michael H. were wonderful. They were careful, efficient and very cheerful. They figured out very difficult furniture and very heavy pieces. They were so kind and polite.

I did two moves, this one by ABC and one earlier for the majority of furniture and all of the other goods in the house. The ABC move was the easier move by far and they took longer and much more unprepared as the first company. The first company came in with three big strong guys with proper tools and equipment to professionally move my house. ABC came in with two guys and hand screwdrivers with no power tools. Took unreasonable amount of time to take furniture apart and load. The two guys who came to the job were not strong enough to move my furniture and then they had to have another guy come to the house to help at additional cost to me of $330, roughly $190 of that for travel to the house. They damaged one of my hardwood steps and did not tell me. When I called the company to discuss how dissatisfied I was with the move the owner of the company was very rude and said she will do nothing to help rectify the situation. The first company charged me $1050 compared to $1200 for ABC. I guess you know who I will hire the next time.

This is the 3rd time I have used ABC moving. The guys, Greg, Stacy and Mario were right on time. They were fast, careful, polite and professional. They put everything where it belonged. Everything was moved in perfect condition. I did not have one thing damaged. They were very careful with everything. I also have to give them credit for working and not stopping. The temperature was about 98 that day. I would have given up about 3 hours earlier. I am truly impressed with this company.

Moving after living in the same place for 20+ years is daunting - both from the amount of "stuff" accumulated and the unfamiliar nature of the experience. ABC Moving relocated my household about 30 miles to my new home. They provided one truck based on a phone conversation of how many rooms were being moved. Turns out not everything fit - almost everything, but not quite. This would have been a bigger deal if I were vacating the old house on the same day, but we were able to pick up the remainders over the next couple days with a borrowed van. The three men (John D. Eddie W., and Xavier) were professional and hard workers. Most everything ended up in the room it needed to be in, nothing was damaged. A particular challenge was getting the queen sized bed foundation and an antique armoire up the stairs to the second level. Tight turn at the bottom made it impossible. So they were hoisted up over the balcony railing in the foyer. The bed wasn't too bad, but the armoire was a real challenge. Thanks to the guys who didn't give up and, with the help of two family members and some heavy lifting, were able to get it where it needed to go!

Very well - Kevin W., Ernie, and Cord were friendly and efficient. They worked well together and I am very happy with the job done.

This was the 2nd time we've used ABC, and we've been pleased both times. We did a cross-town move of select high-value items. We used two trucks and 5 movers. The movers were on time, thorough, friendly, and very conscientious. They did a thorough walk through first, asked a lot of questions (good ones), and worked very efficiently. They removed four wall mounted monitors and mounts, two sound bars, a ceiling mounted projector and mount, and a projector screen. They also packed these items. They were quick with the unload and flexible and easy to work with as I changed my mind on a couple of things and added some assembly work at the end of the job. Great crew, and I'd definitely use them again and recommend them without hesitation. The crew was led by Cody R., and included LeShawn, Andre, Billy and Tarus.

From start to finish, the company was incredibly helpful and professional. Everything was explained clearly, they kept me updated throughout the process, and they were even willing to be somewhat flexible with respect to exactly what I was going to be moving, since I was still in the process of sorting through things in my parents' house. The movers (Kevin W., Tim M., and Walt) were wonderful. Punctual, thorough, and very fast. Packed up everything in St. Louis on a Wednesday and arrived at my door in NC on Friday morning. I highly recommend this company.

First, ABC handled my inquiry over the phone effectively and efficiently gathering all of the related info in an organized manner. Greg and Undray arrived and got to work. Greg told me he had doing moving work for the past 17 years, which gave me a great deal of confidence. They carefully wrapped each piece with moving blankets and plastic and moved them into the POD and back again without incident. They actually lifted my piano and carried it to its new location - simply amazing! I could barely push it on my own. They were professional, polite and were good listeners when my wife and I asked questions, as well as asking good questions themselves. I couldn't imagine a better experience. BTW, I am not known as a generally complimentary person, so you can bank on this enthusiastic review. I'd hire ABC, Greg and Undray again in a heart beat.

Great! The guys were prompt, friendly, professional, careful and worked like champions! We had no damage, and when we asked to have some dressers drawers adjusted after the move, they sent someone out the next day! This is our second move with them and I would use them again!

Greg, Leshorn, Will, and Tarus did a phenomenal job. Very professional, worked nonstop, other than lunch. Got along well together, didn't curse or smoke, which made for a pleasant experience. They covered the traffic areas, and wrapped the furniture well. Nothing was damaged or broken.Their strength was unbelievable and we couldn't of done this without them.
