I typically don’t write reviews, but after the service we received from Rayco, I felt the need to share. If you are looking to hire an experienced electrician look no further! I would hire this company 100 times over! The service from start to finish was top notch! The gentleman, Ray, that we worked with was so honest, even telling us where we could save money and provided ideas. We had him do our entire house with recessed lighting, put new lighting in bathrooms, add outlets to our entire unfinished basement, the list goes on. He was so respectful and scheduled times were met, and were invoiced the same as what we were quoted - no surprises. On top of his professionalism, the work he did was outstanding to say the least! Thank you Rayco for the outstanding service from start to finish and for making everything we wanted happen beautifully.

Ray and his team were very prompt. They were very knowledgeable on questions I had and also recommending new ideas. Pricing was affordable and not over priced. Quick work. Honest.

Lost power in detached garage on a Wednesday 12/2. I suspected that the supply line from the house had completely broken since the same thing had occurred two years earlier and another electrician had disconnected one of the two underground circuits at that time. Ray concurred over the phone and said that he could come by the next day and take a look. Being Minnesota in December I felt that time was of the essence since the weather report was not favorable. That, plus I had no power in the garage making it next to useless. When I arrived home from work on 12/3 there was a hole dug in the yard. Once I reached Ray he said he had dug the hole looking for the broken line (which we had agreed should be abandoned(??)) and offered various theories as to what had gone wrong. He quoted me $1000.00 to run a new line, $250 if the trench it would require was pre-dug for him. I started to look around and found someone who would dig the trench at an affordable price. Called Ray on Friday 12/4, advised the guys were digging it Saturday and asked him to confirm that he would come the following week. He said to: "call me when you have it dug, I've been messed up too many times by people who said it would be done but it wasn't". That was the last I talked to him. No answer Saturday when the trench was laid open before noon. No answer Saturday night, Sunday morning, or night. I was starting to worry with a 40' trench across my yard and unable to reach him. I had used him once before for a bath fan installation and he had come on a Sunday to do the estimate, so I knew he worked weekends. That, plus I was calling a cell phone. Finally after talking to another electrician I determined I could run the line myself and texted Ray. Due to his lack of response for my request for a simple confirmation I had purchased the materials and would complete the job myself. I got a nearly instantaneous response which is the true reason for this review as I am still stinging 3 weeks later. He called me up very angry and it went down hill from there. My better half could hear him screaming the obscenities from across the room. I was told that I "f'ing should have waited", that I "just got your f'ing trench dug yesterday Tom!", and "you know what?? Forget the money! You can work on your OWN sh**, but don't ever f'ing call me again!". He hung up on me at that point. This was not only completely unprofessional, it was appalling behavior. I don't care how angry you get, you certainly don't talk to customers....or really ANYONE that way in the course of business.
