Description of Work: I decided not to use this vendor because of the low ratings you posted about them. We used another vendor, Appliance Solutions, also in Forest Lake, MN. You don't currently list them, but should. We were highly satisfied with promptness, professionalism, price, and results with their work on our non-working refrigerator.

.
Description of Work: The first 10 minutes that he was here, he took 2 or 3 calls, interrupting our conversation. He checked over the appliance and was not really able to diagnose the issue. I paid him for the service call and did not call him back.

Mr. Reed came, could not really diagnose the issue. Then he took 3 phone calls while trying to look at my refrigerator.

They fixed what they came out to fix and it hasn’t broken down since. I don’t remember the price I paid. They came out the same day I called. If I needed something fixed, I would use them again.
Description of Work: I used Reed’s Appliance Service to fix the dryer that wasn’t working.

Tech replaced sensor; saved us the expense of a new dryer and added his advice on what brand to buy in the future. Very helpful.

I have used Reed's Appliance several times before. He has always been very helpful. Today my dryer broke - heat came on but didn't "tumble." I called Reed's about noon or so and was told they were booked up all week (today is Wednesday, and Friday is a holiday). I asked if he could recommend someone else. The receptionist called him and called me back right away and said someone from Reed's would be out this afternoon. Michelle arrived around 1:45 or so, replaced the broken belt on the dryer. She was here for about fifteen minutes. I thought the price was a little high (and have thought so in the past), but maybe this is the going rate, I don't know. There was a $65.00 trip charge, the belt was $20.00, labor was $35.00, and tax was $1.43. I really appreciated them coming out when they were so booked up. I will continue to use Reed's unless I find someone a little cheaper.
Description of Work: Belt on dryer replaced.

Reed gave me a $20.00 estimate to put a new bulb in my microwave. He tried very hard to get the correct bulb, but twice was unable to get a brand new bulb thru his supplier (who had contacted the company when the first bulb didn't fit - turns out the bulb the company said was the right one did not fit either). So, he found me a used bulb and put that in. He spent a lot of extra time tracking down this bulb for me, but still charged me the original $20.00 fee. These people are really great. He is my appliance fixer from now on!

I called on a Wednesday and asked for service on the following Friday. Reed told me he would be able to come in the afternoon. The cost was $65.00 for a "house call" (my words) and for a diagnosis of the problem. He also said he sells dishwashers but I said I'd prefer to fix mine if it was a small problem. He called around noon on Friday, and showed up shortly thereafter. He was there for about twenty to thirty minutes total, but found the problem and fixed it. Total was $65.00 already mentioned, plus $30.00 labor. I would call him again. My advice to you: don't put dirty dishes containing hard objects (like seeds!) in your dishwasher without cleaning them off in the garbage first!
Description of Work: Whirlpool dishwasher was making a terrible noise. Reed took it apart and found a screw and a large-ish hard seed in the motor. He removed those, put everything back together, and the dishwasher worked fine.
