+ -1 moreIt took them 3 months to finish the roof and gutters. First, I paid them half and didn't see them for a month. They worked for a week or so and then shingled our neighbors garage. After that, we didn't see them for 3 more weeks and then they finished the roof and gutters. We had to hound them to put the screen doors on. I finally put one of the screen doors on and the owner of the company put the second screen door on. The roof looks good, but water runs behind the the gutters. Not sure about the quality of the work on the roof. Time will tell.
Description of Work: New asphalt shingles, new gutters and 2 screen doors.

+ -1 moreI requested an estimate to reroof our house. The shingles are in terrible shape and need to be replaced. The salesman (and president of the company) came out shortly after I requested the estimate. He said that he'd drop the esitmate off the next day. However, it was over three weeks later that the estimate finally showed up at my door. After three weeks I assumed that he wasn't going to provide an estimate, and therefore I selected another contractor to do the work. Regardless of the timing, the estimate was the highest of the four that I obtained by over $1,000, so I would not have selected him to the the work.

+ -1 moreIt went fantastic. I'm located in the south suburbs and I can't say how many times they sent someone down whenever I had an issue. Look - I have never given anything close to this much praise to anyone. I can't say the price or the scope of the work for legal reasons: it was part of a lawsuit against another company who did prior work on my home and there's a gag order on the details, but Carpentier Roofing went far beyond what was expected and I would recommend them to my own family members. This guy knows what he's doing, doesn't BS, tells it like it is and explains it in terms that I understood, gave other examples if there was confusion on my part, provided data, and did things that no other company would of done. It's the little things that count, and when a company goes that extra mile it's something that I don't forget. Which is why I showed my appreciation by writing this glowing report.
Description of Work: I had a prior issue on my home and the work that Carpentier Roofing did to help me was unbelievable. Mr. Carpentier pointed out key problems and issues that no one else caught, he knew the building codes like the back of his hand, their company were prompt with responses, they were all friendly, professional and their hard work went far beyond what I had ever experienced before. After so many bad experiences with every other contractor I ever dealt with, it was really refreshing to find someone who I could honestly say that I would trust their word on. I really just wish I knew of this company 10 years ago. I had an issue with my property and it could not have been resolved if it were not for this company's assistance. I'm not blowing smoke here...this guy is the real deal and like I mentioned before: that sort of quality is something that you just don't come across anymore. After seeing so many con men and storm chasers when it comes to property damage, I had all but given up on the "used car salesmen" pressure and lies that I kept hearing from other companies. This company tells it like it is and stands behind their work. And they use educated workers!

+ -1 moreBOTH THE OWNER AND THE PERSON INSPECTING THE DAMAGE AND QUOTING THE REPAIR WERE VERY RESPONSIVE, PROFESSIONAL AND HELPFUL. THE ESTIMATOR WAS WILLING TO WORK AROUND MY SCHEDULE. HE INSPECTED THE ENTIRE ROOF AND WAS HONEST ABOUT THE DAMAGE AND REPAIR. ALTHOUGH I ENDED UP BEING ABLE TO TAKE CARE OF THE PROBLEM MYSELF, I WOULD RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY TO ANYONE WHO ASKED.
Description of Work: REPAIR ESTIMATE AFTER SHINGLES CAME OFF MY ROOF DURING A STORM.
