Reroofing of breezeway roof.

Jim Martinson responded in a timely fashion to our request for an estimate & arrived promptly as scheduled. He shared good information & we think his workers would probably do a good job; however, we felt another company was a better fit for us.

Overall, I had to really pressure them to replace the rotten wood on the roof deck. When installing the shingles, it went great but replacing the roof deck, I had to point out every rotten wood piece. Had I not been there they would have not done it.

They have been very patient with us because we have had some financial problems. They have been very polite and very pleasant to work with. I would recommend to others.

The Construction Group is a very knowledgeable and professional group. Jim Martinson, one of the owners, came out and got up on the roof to do a "visual" inspection. He spent quite a bit of time explaining what they would do and why. I work for a "commercial general contractor" and would recommend this company in a heartbeat. They said they were (2) weeks out but would call with updates and let me know when to expect them. The follow through was great! The crew came out and did a wonderful job. They covered all of my landscaping, moved everything off of the deck so it wouldn't be harmed, put it all back and cleaned up so you would never know they had been there.

Mr. Campbell was clearly more thorough than any other estimator. He actually got up on the roof to inspect it and explained in great detail what needed to be done and why. The finished work is excellent as was the clean-up. The new gutters are a vast improvement over the old ones. I used to have problems with one of the gutters leaking right over a window; this problem is now fixed.

Work was done in a timely manner. I was given updates on when to expect it to be done, and how long it would take. It was a smoothly run operation. I could tell they have been doing this for a long time.

Scott and Jim provided estimates to re-roof the house and repair some sagging trusses. After accepting the estimates and making the down-payment, Jim called to say they would be out on July 9 to do the work. I stayed home from work to be available if questions came up. At about 10:30 I called to see when they were coming and Jim said they had changed the date, no one had called to let us know. Two days later the roofing was done. Things looked pretty good except that they had forgotten to replace a kitchen exhaust vent, the gutter apron had not been replaced, and the roof sag on one side of the house was no better than before. John came by a few days later and managed to take out most, but not all, of the sag. His crew forgot the roof vent and gutter apron, so another trip on another day. I will say that they were very willing to fix the mistakes after I pointed them out but I really shouldn't have had to point out such obvious things.

I worked with Scott directly on this project. Scott's bid was very competitive with others I had received. I went with his company, in part, because of his solid ratings on Angie's List. I was never regretful of my decision. From start to finish, Scott was professional, prompt, knowledgeable and courteous. His crew did a great job protecting the property from roofing debris while working. There was a minor accident to the light tube cylinder going down into my bathroom, and Scott had it replaced without any hassle at all. Despite having to re-deck the entire house (something he wasn't sure he'd have to do until his crew had the shingles up), the project only took 1 1/2 days. Best of all, the roof looks great!

The Construction Group's estimate was extremely thorough and detailed. Their job leader, Luis, is experienced and and it seems he personally directed every shingle. They were in and out very quickly and and cleaned up very well. It was a pleasant experience and the roof looks great.

Took great care with all my plants and pots that had to be moved off the deck. Also took great care of my lawn when having supplies delivered. I especially like the excellent clean-up when the job was complete. They always showed up on the days specified and on time. I felt my deck/home was safe in their hands. They were friendly, but very professional. I feel they did more than what was asked of them. I would hire them again. In fact I have, next they will do a roof for me.

Scott got back to me promptly when I called. I was happy that the job could be done before winter (or during winter if needed). Scott was very thorough when explaining what needed to be done. The crew was on the job after Thanksgiving and made quick work of it! They protected the landscaping & did a great job of cleaning up the area. The roof was done within a week and it looks great! I am very satisfied with The Construction Group. I may also be putting in new windows & siding and I'll definitely consider The Construction Group for those jobs also.

We used Angie's List to identify 5 contractors who had received high marks and were located close to our neighborhood. Of the 5, Scott Campbell, general manager from The Construction Group, paid the most attention to the bid, clearly understood what we wanted, ran the options we wanted, and came in with a bid that was slightly lower than the others. Work started as planned and finished only slightly later than planned. The workers were polite and careful. Separate crews did windows, then siding, then gutters. Cleanup could have been a little better after the gutter work. Tearing off the old siding resulted in some damage to a furnace vent. Scott came out and fixed that himself. There were a few other things like that that I called Scott about after the work was done. For example, the siding crew missed caulking a few places around the windows. Scott arranged to have that taken care of within a few days. All in all, we're pleased with the work that was done. It looks great!

Scott Campbell was the only person of the three companies that I requested estimates from that made an attempt to get onto the roof and look at the current condition of my roof. I felt that he made the extra effort to understand my needs and met those needs with superior products. His roofing crew did a great job and even worked on a Sunday to get the work completed. The gutter crew also did very good work. Most importantly, both crews left the property in very good condition and did a great job cleaning up. The crew didn't just wait until the last day to clean up. There were always two people picking up and making sure that the windows or siding weren't damaged by old shingles being thrown off the roof. Overall, it was very good work and I was completely satisfied.

Scott came out to measure the windows. He arrived on time. He gave me an estimate that was really reasonable. I had two other window companies that I was trying to get estimates from: one company scheduled an appointment and never showed up. The other company showed up and two different people came at the same time (no communication in the company) to measure the windows. They never came back with an estimate. Scott ordered the windows and informed me that one was a special order so it would take longer. They showed up when they said to install. The install occurred very quickly and was $900 over the estimate due to the window wraps. Excellent service - I highly recommend this company. The windows were installed well and have saved me a bundle on heat this winter.

The Construction Group workers were always on time, they completed the work on schedule, and they were polite and considerate. The job took a couple of weeks and they never lost their enthusiasm for doing a good job. They were also understanding when I had to let my dog out in the yard while they were working. They explained things to me if I had questions and I never felt talked down to or patronized. They cleaned up the yard when they were finished. The work on the house is excellent. Many of my neighbors have stopped by to tell me how great my house looks and my when my kids come to visit, they keep saying how beautiful the house looks. I feel they were reasonably priced and it was worth every penny that I paid.

I WAS VERY PLEASED AND IMPRESSED WITH SCOTT'S PROFESSIONALISM. I CONTACTED SEVERAL ROOFING COMPANIES FOR ESTIMATES : ONE FAILED TO SHOW UP TWICE; ANOTHER NEVER SENT ME THE WRITTEN ESTIMATE I'D ASKED FOR. SCOTT PRESENTED ME WITH A WRITTEN ESTIMATE ALONG WITH A FACT SHEET OF WHAT TO EXPECT AND HOW TO PREPARE ALONG WITH A LIST OF REFERENCES. THIS COMPANY OBVIOUSLY GOES THE EXTRA MILE TO BE ORGANIZED AND PRESENT THEMSELVES WELL. TOP NOTCH ALL THE WAY.

SCOTT WAS EXTREMELY PROFESSIONAL, PRESSURE-FREE, INFORMATIVE AND ALWAYS ON TIME. WE HAD ATTEMPTED TO GET NUMEROUS BIDS FOR OUR ROOF AND GUTTERS, (INCLUDING SELA) AND FOUND THAT SCOTT WAS THE ONLY ONE THAT DID THE ESTIMATE IN A TIMELY FASHION, SCHEDULED A MEETING TO MEET WITH MY HUSBAND AND I, ARRIVED TIMELY FOR THAT MEETING WITH A DETAILED PROPOSAL IN HAND, ANSWERED ALL OF OUR QUESTIONS, GAVE US THE NAME AND LOCATION OF THE ROOFING DISTRIBUTOR HE USES SO WE COULD SEE WHAT TYPE OF SHINGLES WE WANTED, AND COULD GET FREE, BIG SAMPLES TO TAKE HOME. SCOTT WAS ALWAYS VERY PROFESSIONAL AND KNOWLEDGEABLE DURING THE ENTIRE PROCESS. THE ROOFERS THAT ARE EMPLOYED BY SCOTT WERE ALSO VERY TIMELY, COMPLETED THE WORK IN A COUPLE DAYS, AND CLEANED UP EVERYTHING VERY WELL. SCOTT ALSO OFFERED THAT IF WE SAW ANYTHING WRONG WITH THE ROOF LATER ON OR IF WE FOUND THAT THE GUTTERS WERE NOT WORKING, WE COULD ALWAYS CALL HIM AND HE WOULD COME OUT AGAIN TO FIX THE PROBLEM(S). I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND THEM.

THEY CLEANED UP EVERYTHING VERY WELL, ESPECIALLY ALL THE NAILS. I FEEL THE WHOLE JOB WAS DONE IN A VERY TIMELY MANNER.
