We consulted with a number of concrete installers and none of them impressed us as much as the owner, Ryan Fleischhacker. He brought to the table a wealth of knowledge and experience in this third generation, Woodbury-based company. His high psi proprietary concrete formula that Cemstone makes for his projects is the best quality available and his installation crew was extremely efficient with fine attention to every detail. We went with a thicker, 5-inch concrete pour with wire mesh and rebar to handle heavy vehicles along with 4 inches of class 5 under the concrete so the driveway will look as good today as it will 30+ years from now. I highly recommend them!

Dave Fleischhacker was the only contractor that even showed interest in my needs. He spent good time with me understanding what I needed done and offered expert advise on specifics to ensure I was happy in the end. Dave was on site all the time and his team are all professional and hard working. I work in Quality Control and know how to inspect and I have no complaints. Ryan Fleischhacker also did a tremendous amount of grading at a reasonable cost so all I had to do was lay the sod. Long time family company and I highly recommend this team and very pleased with their work and quality! Thank you.

Excellent company! Owner Dave was great! He came out, listened to our concerns, our needs, was accommodating and provided a reasonable estimate for what we wanted done. He also explained their process and advised us to anticipate common known problems once the old driveway is removed and of the potential costs. He provided an estimated time frame for when the work will be performed and stayed within that time frame (weather permitted) as stated. He called in advance to notify me when they will be coming out and when the day came, they were on time and immediately went to work. Throughout the entire project, they arrived early and worked all day until they completed each task for that day. Dave was on site everyday and along with his crew, they worked hard and strenuously to get everything done in a timely manner (only took 3 days and part of a morning)! During the construction, Dave contacted me after he discovered the common known problems (crumbling foundation blocks) as well as our sunken garage floor and was able to provide a visual (Facetime using my wife's phone) of the problem and cost of repairing it before continuing. They were professional, meticulous and their work ethics are second to none! They also cleaned up after themselves after each day! My wife and I greatly appreciate all of their hard work and thank them for a wonderful and beautiful driveway, walkway and garage floor! Would definitely recommend!

He is very much a perfectionist. He puts his name at the end of your driveway to stand behind it.

They did an outstanding job on my garage and driveway. Not only that, the entire crew was extremely professional and courteous. Even after a neighbor mistakenly, and maliciously, criticized them for something they had not done, Mr. Fleischhacker remained polite. My driveway looks superb, and I highly recommend this company.

After about a year of research, and dealing with various cement contractors(about a dozen!) I have come to a conclusion: MF Fleischhacker Inc, in my opinion, is top notch! Things I noticed: Owner Dave, works right along with his crew, throughout the whole job. The crew is very hard working, professional, and polite. The cost was a little on the high side BUT fair. I believe "You get what you pay for." I spoke with some of Dave's workers and learned they have a good attitude towards their job. "We actually get breaks and a decent wage." Fleischhacker is an honest businessman who does beautiful work with pride...he knows what he is doing. I must also mention that I noticed Dave Fleischhacker's....smile.

They were again so professional and hard working! It's just not something you see much of these days anymore. Totally felt like each employee was trustworthy and did their best without slacking off. They completed everything I asked for and cleaned up behind themselves. So happy again!

We wanted to get estimates for this large/expensive job (drive/walk replacement) in the spring as we planned to complete this work over the summer. In March, MF Fleischhacker responded quickly to my call and came out and gave me a written estimate that day. Other contractors either declined to come out due to the snow (our driveway was cleared of snow and clearly visible for an estimate at this time) or did not follow up with a written contract or provided a quick estimate with very little detail. In the end, although MF Fleischhacker's bid was not the cheapest we received, I felt his level of passion for his work and responsiveness would be worth the extra money. After submitting the downpayment, he told us he would contact us prior to installation and he followed through as requested. He was onsite both days with his very efficient, polite crew of men. They completed the work as requested and we are pleased with the appearance. We also asked that he look at a separate area that needed repair and he completed this work for a reasonable additional cost. The owner and crew are highly professional and cleaned up the entire area after the installation. We cannot comment on the long term quality of the work as it has only been a few days, but I would highly recommend this company for the service/installation aspects of their work.

Superb job. Outcome way better than I envisioned. Extremely pleased with everything he and his crew did. They were professional and worked so hard. They were a well-orchestrated ballet with everyone working well with each other and not getting in one another's way. It was fun to watch. They cleaned up after themselves beyond what I ever imagined. They left me with a list of instructions with what to do and when. They did everything in 3-1/2 days. He consulted with me throughout the project. I highly would recommend this company. I plan to use them again to replace the back steps, close off the well house, and add a patio.

Provider explained as the job was going along what was involved, what to expect and what the timeline would be. Other than mother nature with the rain it all went as planned.

I haven't a clue as they never showed to bid. But looking on the bright side it was a blessing. I will never call or if someone asks about them I would never in good faith say they were Ok. I have accepted another contractor and have monies down. Otherwise I would have accepted a bid if it was where I thought it should be I would hire him in a minute. He has honesty and integrity and does some very good work.

Right on top of things with consistent contact. We did not use their services, but would definitely consider if another opportunity presented itself.

The work was excellent. Crew was on time and very professional. The finished product was very nice, however, apparently the concrete mix (Cemstone) was a bad mix and 6 months later, driveway began to pop and pit. Mr. Fleischacker personally reviewed the driveway and indicated the mix was bad and the entire driveway should be re-done. Although this took additional time for the job to be repeated, he wanted to assure the product was of top quality and preferred to completely re-do the effort at no cost to us rather than give a reduction or do a patch jog. In addition, our garage floor was a concrete slab over spancrete with a room below. The area where the slap met the driveway had been broken and leaking for years and a previous contractor (don't remember company) repaired the area which lasted less than one year. Fleischacker included a re-repair as part of the driveway replacement which is still in excellent condition. This was a very positive experience even though it had to be done twice, not due to workmanship, but bad materials and knowing that a quality job was so important only enhanced my confidence in this contractor. The driveway looks as good today as it did the day after completion.

They did a great job. They were easy to work with, punctual, explained everything, and had a couple of ideas that improved our project. Here the garage has footings of concrete block. Fleischhacker discovered the original builder had used blocks that were too small and had failed. They replaced those failed blocks. I am not a concrete expert but it was apparent they put emphasis on doing everything well. For instance they created grooves in the concrete so that when it cracks from weather it will crack in those grooves instead of randomly. The finish of the concrete is perfect: smooth in the garage and broomed nicely on the drive.

This was hands down a great experience. I have wanted to replace my patio for a number of years and finally decided to do it. I called 3 different businesses to get bids. One of them I called and left a message, but didn't hear back. I called and left another message. Still did not hear back. Scratched them off my list. I called a different contracter and left a message, he called me back. He agreed to see me that same evening as he was out for another bid. He showed up and we discussed all the details, he took my email address and he was to email the bid. I waited a week. Never received an email or a call back. I figured he just didnt want the job. I presume he was scared off by the daunting task of how best to plan and pour the patio as the sunken part was an issue and water/ rain run off was a real concern. The 3rd contractor I called was Dave Fleischhacker. Best call I ever made. He returned my call the next day, was out to my home, he looked, asked questions and answered mine. He explained the mechanics of what needed to be done. I felt really comfortable with him from the beginning and he stayed and wrote out the bid. I told him I'd get back to him and I did. Fast forward to the day of getting the work done. He showed up early as previously agreed upon with his crew ready to go. These guys worked diligently the whole day, and took time out for lunch only. No standing around or goofing off here. They did the complete tear out and new patio area and part of my driveway as agreed upon. Dave asked if I wanted my front walk done. That was needed too but I was going to do that at a later time. He offered to do it for less than he normally would because they were out there anyway. I agreed. The whole thing turned out beautifully. He has a solid crew and he is in on the work too. I felt really calm throughout the day keeping an eye on things. We talked when the job was done and on his way he went. He had a crew member returned the next day to cut the relief joints. He did a nice job. The other night when the rain returned (yet again) I looked out at my patio and was thrilled to see the rain run off in the pattern that Dave designed and it worked just as he said. No puddling like it did before with the old patio. This guy knows what he is doing! I have two sets of steps and the rest of the driveway to do in the future. He is the only one I will be calling. You can't wrong with him if you want quality, professional, prompt and fairly priced work. Now I can't wait to sit out on my beautiful patio with a Dirty Martini if only the rain will stop!

Excellent! They respond promptly to requests for estimates, assess the units to determine which ones are in the worst condition, and contact me with any unusual situations that may be more expensive to get pre-approval before doing any work outside the contract. They let us know in advancewhen they will be doing the work, and they promptly show up. They are experts in what they do. Quality of work is excellent. Clean-up is meticulous. And they accommodate unusual situations. They provide estimates and invoices by address to meet our associaton's recordkeeping requirements. Our Board and the owners are very pleased with the professionalism and the quality. .

We've had a significant frost heaving problem with our driveway and aprons for 30 years. We've made several attempts over the years with different contractors to fix the problem with little success. After thoroughly studying our situation Dave Fleischhacker, owner of MF Fleischhaker concrete and masonry knew what our problem was and what it would take to fix it. While the work was being done Dave kept us well informed about what he was doing, what to expect and any changes to the overall plan that he recommended. Ryan and Marcus (Dave's crew) also were very friendly, professional and meticulous in their work and helped keep us informed. After the work was done the job site was returned to a condition at least as good as before the work started. We have now been through one winter season with our new driveway and we have not had even a fraction of an inch of heaving or any cracking. I highly recommend MF Fleischhacker concrete and masonry.

Called for bid to fill in old well area. Contractor was quick to return call but advised me that I should call someone in town since it would cost me so much to do such a small job. Did not seem interested in giving a bid. Too bad as there are other companies that are and if they do a good job this job will lead to MANY other jobs at my residence.

Thorough, accurate quote provided; great suggestions that allowed us to increase size & usability of driveway; very accomodating when I added install of basketball pole mid-project; followed up as promised to seal concrete in Fall; provided warranty documentation & even followed up with phone call when I forgot to return signed documentation & was close to voiding warranty with Dura-Crete. I highly recommend

Dave (the owner) provided a bid for the work upon his first visit. I had already received 4 other bids. I accepted Dave's bid and the work started the next day. All work was performed to high standards, I had provided Dave with a set of specifications that I wanted the driveway and stairs to meet. In certain areas my specifications were exceeded. The work was completed over a 5 day period as promised. Although Dave's company was not the least expensive I feel that I received a level of quality and performance that could not be matched by the other bidders. From the time Dave arrived at my house until he was complete I sensed his intent to provide a quality job. His crew knew what they were doing and went right to work, wasting no time. I will definitely have Dave and his company, MF Fleischhacker do additional concrete work at my home. Dennis S. Architect
