John was great. Very communicative. Recommended a solution which, in the end, saved me money at the expense of his being able to bill me for a more expensive solution.

After e-mailing never heard from the company again.

He was punctual, dependable, friendly, and professional, and his work was excellent. It's obvious he takes pride in what he does.

We have used him a couple of times, he is very good. We had water damage and the kitchen had to be gutted, the water people would not do anything electrical so he came and did it.

He charged for the visit, but said if the problems continued, he would apply what I paid for that visit to whatever work needed to be done if I continued to have problems. That was weeks ago, and I haven't had any problems since.

I had a favorable experience with them. He charged me a lot. He had a very nice personality, he quickly identified what the problem was and fixed it. He charges a $150 trip charge, and it doesn't matter how fart the trip is. It was not very complex work. I had to call them a few times before I could get him to respond.

We had John to run a new outlet for our electric dryer. Install was smooth and clean up was good. Just a few little pieces of cord left over but overall it was a quick installation and they were very friendly!

Arrived on time, very professional, clear about what he would be doing, willing to explain process and answer questions.

I enjoyed working with him and wouldn't hesitate to call him again if needed.

This is the second time I've hired John. As before, he was quick to come and give me an estimate and was able to schedule the work soon thereafter. He showed up on time and completed the work in about the time he estimated it would take. Everything was cleaned up afterwards, and the lighting fixtures look great. John is everything you want in someone working on your house: fair, responsive, communicative, professional, and friendly.

John and his wife (Connie) came out 2 weeks later to replace my electrical panel and replace all of my lights in my kitchen and family room. The work they did was superb! John showed me that the panel was so old that it was actually burning/melting. He was also kind enough to talk with the company who replaced my countertops to explain that the work they did, loosened wires in my kitchen (which they claimed was impossible). Their work was outstanding and they explained everything that they were doing and why they were doing it. I have already recommended John to two of my neighbors who are looking to do home renovations. He and his wife Connie are amazing! A must hire.

John showed up when he said he would. We talked through the project and he explained everything. He completed the job in a timely manner and everything looks and works great. I would recommend him to others as well as hire him again.

I was very pleased and happy with his service. He was priced very reasonabley from all the other quotes that I received. Once I hired him he put me on the schedule very fast and was able to get the job done with-in the week. He did a great job, was fast and cleaned up after his job. I couldn't tell he was even there. Well beside my lovely new fan! I would definitely hire him again or recommend him to friends or family.

John came out, we discussed what I wanted done. He made some suggestions and wrote up a bid before leaving the house. He came out on the specified date to complete the work. Great - John and Connie assessed the issues and quickly completed the task which was a bit challenging in an older home. They were friendly and knowledgeable and returned promptly when we had some secondary issues with difficulty plugging into the outlet due to a safety feature. Would definitely hire John Kival Electric again!

Excellent service and quality. One of the chandeliers was very high, but John was able to replace it for me. As an added bonus, since I had no way to do it myself, he removed a large stained glass window (very heavy) that was not to my taste. John gave me excellent advice about installing a home sound/TV system and will be returning in a few months when I have purchased the equipment to set it up for me.

John responded quickly to my call and fixed my issue. Great service at a great price and no up charge for calling on a Saturday.

My first impression was good although John had to reschedule our original apt but no big issue there. John was friendly and professional when we met. We had discussed the work could wait to take place a few months down the road but he did promise to send a bid right away. I waited for a month and had to contact him several times before I got the actual bid. I was sticker price shocked to discover it was double the price I had received from another company. Needless to say I did not go with John's co.

Were able to come out quickly and restore electricity. Very nice wife and husband team.

Perfect, he was here in less than an hour, diagnosed and repaired quickly.

Work was done well and pretty efficiently, but it took a few days to hear back after calling, and then a few more days to get in; rather than make an appointment, it was set up as "when I can come by," which is less than ideal. I also could have gone without the running commentary about how I messed things up. Rookie home research went wrong, and that's fine, but he made a point of harping on this over and over. Obviously if one outlet is wrong, they all are, as they'd be the same. Anyway, that makes me second-guess hiring him again, but I'm sure I would in a pinch, as I trust the work and his knowledge.

John was able to give me an estimate over the phone whereas others wouldn't. Super friendly and knowledgeable with great pricing. John came over and was all done in less than 45 mins. I would highly recommend John to anyone that is getting a electric car charging port installed in their garage.
