Capital Siding Windows & Roofing

The team that he sent out to do the work did a spectacular job--they were brothers and they did excellent work. I was very pleased with the job that they did. I would certainly recommend them. They arrived promptly every morning and cleaned up the premises was well as possible at the end of the day every day. They worked well consistently, and worked in tandem very well together. They were pleasant to have around, were quiet, and answered any questions that I had. They also came in lower than several bids that I had, and matched the lowest bid I had.

Capital's owner, Jeff Moore promptly responded to my request for a bid. He thoroughly explained all material options and the construction process including time line. He happily made a second trip to do the same thing for both my wife and me. Work began approx. 5 weeks later after patio arrived. His siding crew, headed by Thor, was small, mostly two workers. The total project took approx 4 1/2 weeks. Thor and Mark did a fantastic job and were very meticulous. I'd much rather have them take their time than rush through the job. Thor always kept us informed of progress and what they'd do next. Always showed us hidden rot with estimate of repair (which was accurate) and cleared it with us before proceeding. I have to say they were artists in bending metal. My six year old daughter called them "the boys" and we were all sad when they finished the project and had to move on. The addition of skylights was a late addition to the project and was handled well by Capital's roofing crew.

I found Jeff on Angie's List and he had great ratings. I called him, he came out within a few days. He spent 2 hours with me explaining many things I didn't know. He followed up right way with an estimate. I decided to check out some other companies, which slowed things down, but I chose Jeff and was very glad I did. He was responsive, helpful, and gave me a lot of great ideas. He also helped me work with the insurance company. He made suggestions on how to handle the shed on the side of my house, and it turned out great. He communicated a lot by email and cell phone and I appreciated that. The trim will get painted in the spring and that is all that's left. Great job!!

The entire project went as planned! From the start when Jeff showed up for an estimate all the way through to the finished project, we were pleased with Capital Siding. The two men, Thor and Mark both do excellent work. Thor has a very keen eye for attention to detail. He is a perfectionist and it shows in his work. There was poor weather (very cold and lots of snow), but the two guys were here otherwise as planned. Each day the scraps and any other clean up was done prior to Thor and Mark departing for the day. As mentioned above, there were several items that needed to be "re done" from the building contractor's work. Thor and Mark re-set all the windows (8 total) and also trimmed out the windows in order to square them up for the incoming sheetrock contractors. The triangle returns on the soffits were also built by Thor and Mark (something the other contractor failed to do). We will have the same company siding our house later in the year.

The crew was on time, very professional, detailed, organized. They worked hard from 8 AM-9 PM. They had a much bigger job than anticipated. My house had the original shakes along with three additional layers. The tear off was slow going due to the extra layers of shingles. I was only quoted on three layers, and when the final bill was presented, it was exactly what was quoted. The owner Jeff was on the job site to answer any questions I had. It was my first experience as a new home owner, and couldn't have been more pleased with the service I received. When the job was completed the crew made sure that all nails and debris were cleaned up. I have a Day Care next door, and was very concerned about any nails that may have fallen into the yard next door. The crew was very understanding, and payed extra attention to the neighbors yard.

Jeff Moore gave us all the options including vinyl shingles. When we did not want vinyl, Jeff was very supportive even though that was not the regular work his company had been doing. We are so pleased with the results! We were consulted all through the process. There were no assumptions made about anything. Even when we had questions, after the work was completed, we had answers immediately. Even Jeff's wife was there with compliments and comments on our choices. This is a tremendous company! We had roof replacement done by them previously and I cannot begin to describe the wonderful service they provided. They were here when they said they would be and finished up projects, sooner than they planned. I would definitely recommend this company to anyone and will call them again with any projects for my home in the future.

Jeff and his crew started and completed the projects within the time and price outlined in the bid despite numerous surprises -most of the wood under my shingles had rotted and had to be replaces, a light fixture had to be moved, and we had a snowstorm in the middle of the project! I was sure the end cost would be way over the bid, but it wasn't! Jeff's crew was patient and accommodating. She was also very pleased with the results. Both homes turned out great!

They were punctual in both coming out for a free estimate and doing the work. They cleaned up the work area every day before leaving and communicated where they were in the process and what to expect the next day. The workmanship was terrific. Steve took his time and made sure everything fit well. He even did little extras (removing/retaining the house numbers and putting them back up when he was finished) that although I could have done, I greatly appreciated his thoughtfulness.

Jeff, the owner of this company, showed up when expected to give an estimate for the siding job on our home. He took a lot of time with us explaining the process and going over the materials to be used. Unfortunately, when we received his bid it was $16,000 more than one bid we received and $10,000 more than another. I emailed him to let him know that he was considerably higher that my first bid, but I had 1 more to receive. I told him that I wouldn't necessarily take the lowest bid and I didn't. In addition, he stated in an email to me that the product (siding) did not come in a 4 inch exposure like we wanted, but did come in a 5 inch exposure. When I emailed him to state that this was contrary to the manufacturer's web site specifications, he never responded. I never heard from him again about doing the job. Probably shouldn't have given him a "B" for professionalism because of the unresponsiveness, but since I already downgraded him on this I'm giving him a break.

During removal of the existing siding on the house, several serious structural problems were uncovered. After discussions with the company (Jeff Moore) and the installer (Shane), modifications to the contract were agreed upon and the work continued. The modifications resulted in a slight increase to the contract but enabled an excellent final product.

Capital Siding and Windows is an outstanding Twin Cities Roofing and Siding contractor. They have an incredible attention to detail and performed their tasks above and beyond their stated commitment. They provided valuable product information and comparisons and took the time to hear the owner and incorporate recommendations. They did beautiful work. I would use them again.

They did a terrific job from start to finish. We felt like we not only received great and professional service but the most bang for our buck as well with several upgrades for no additional cost and no hidden costs at the end of the project. The project was finished on time and with the siding, earlier than estimated. We highly recommend Capital Siding and Windows and would hire the company again.

We first met Jeff Moore, owner of Capital Windows and Siding, when he put new siding on our 4-plex in 2005. We were impressed with the professionalism, honesty and integrity of Jeff and all his people, as well as the quality of the work performed. Since that time, whenever we have a problem that is within the scope of Capital Windows and Siding, we call Jeff. In addition to performing repair/upgrading tasks for us he has directed us to reliable people who can help us with jobs that are not in his area. Thanks to Jeff, we now have someone for roofing, gutters and a lumber company whom we feel we can trust. Replacing the doors was a small dollar job compared to the siding, but the help from Jeff was the same. We would strongly recommend Capital Siding and Windows/Jeff Moore and crew for high quality, reliable work. When you hire this company, you can relax and know the work will meet the high standards you expect.

Overall it was a good experience. They did a very nice job and dealt with our insurance company (We'd had storm damage to our old siding) for us. However, the job took longer than it was supposed to and the communication from Jeff really got sporadic near the end of the job.

Jeff Moore provided outstanding customer service and excellent price for product. He answered many questions and concerns and was very prompt and involved. Unfortunately, I had an unexpected air conditioning problem and will have to defer the siding for another year. I will definitely use Capital for any siding or window repair or replacement.

I am very happy with the quality of the work that was performed. The job site was cleaned up at the end of each day. Jeff pointed out a manufacturer defect with the siding, and he had already made arrangements to have one side of my garage resided before I even noticed the very slight color variation.

He was courteous, quick and reasonable. We hope to work with him later this summer.

Jeff was wonderful to work with. He gave us an honest bid and his crew went above and beyond in their workmanship. We found out that the city we live in requires different venting than we had originally agreed on with Jeff, and he had no problems meeting the code while still staying in the estimate. The windows and door were also done with expertise and we are happy with their quality. Jeff's crew was happy to answer our questions and concerns and they take great pride in their work.

They did a very careful and nice-looking job and handled several follow-up details in a very professional manner.

Jeff came by to give me an estimate and was very courteous and friendly. He was informative without being pushy for a sale, unlike many other sales people I met. Very pleasant to work with. Dan and his co-workers were very good workers, and gave excellent attention to detail. They worked through some very snowy and cold weather without sacrificing quality which amazed me. All in all, a great crew! I would definitely work with them again.

Great workmanship. Very helpful. Had some minor issues with contra-tors showing up regularly, however overall they were very professional and well priced. We looked around quite a bit for the right siders and when we met Jeff we knew we had the best one. And we were right.

Jeff was prompt, professional and courteous both on the phone and in person. He took extra time to understand our very specific desire for how our exterior would look. Jeff took extra time to determine several options for both the extent of the work and the materials to be used. He presented these options in a clear and understandable way that helped us make an informed decision. Jeff provided ballpark figures for several options that ranged from $13,000 to $28,000. Ultimately, we realized that we would need to wait and save more money to afford the look that we want or we would need to reassess our vision for the work. Jeff was very clear about the costs, and we felt confident that his rates were appropriate for the work. We sought no other bids. We intend to contact Jeff immediately once we have saved enough money to do the work the way we envision or if we decide to change our vision to include less expensive materials.

Jeff Moore, the contractor, and Bryan, the carpenter, were both a pleasure to work with and did a great job. Bryan came up with a creative way to protect the windows with overhangs that he designed. (There had been no overhangs on the West side of the house leading to the deterioration of those windows and siding on this 36 year old house.) Bryan did all of the work. The neighbors all commented on the great job he did and how nice the house looks. Each old window was out and the new window was in so fast that the house did not even cool off, even in Jan. Jeff saw to it that minor manufacturing problems (windows) were completely taken care of by the manufacturer before he would accept final payment.

I CHOOSE THIS COMPANY BASED ON MY TIMEFRAME. THE BID CAME IN A LITTLE HIGHER BUT I NEEDED THE WORK DONE QUICKLY AND THEY DID WELL IN MEETING MY TIMEFRAME. THEY DID A NICE JOB OF CLEANING UP EVERYDAY AND THE WORK COMPLETED LOOKS GREAT.
