The employee mowed my yard a total of three times before I had to turn her away. She left the cuttings all over my yard that I had to clean up and the second service she only cut half of my yard. Also, I was advised to make the check for payment out to multiple different companies and individual.

The work was fine. The price was outrageous. By phone Sue quoted $300.00 for fall cleanup. In response to my question as to whether the price included cleanup of all leaves into November she replied "yes" and that the crew would do the work in a total of 3 visits. When the work was still in progress she said that she had to go the next job and asked for payment, I asked how much since I assumed that the amount would be for the first visit. She replied "$300". When I said I hesitated to pay the full amount for only the first job and for removal of no more that 1/4 of the total of leaves that would fall, she said she wanted $300 for just the work performed that day and that she would charge $200 for the next and last visit. This was a deceitful sharp practice. I am embarrassed to say that I did not dispute the exorbitant charge, since it was the first time that I had hired such a service and had not received several bids and there was no written contract. Obviously Sue knew that I would not call her for a subsequent visit and could pocket $300 for 4 minimum wage workers (including her grandson) who did the job in about 1 and 1/2 hours. By the way, she and her husband Leroy do business under the name of "L & M Landscape" as well as "Twin Cities Green Team". But she requested that I make out the check to her husband.

They were able to start the job the following week where other companies were unable. The quote was verbal which made me nervous. The contractor changed pricing multiple times on me which was upsetting. They came and went without keeping me informed as to what was going on. However, all in all, the grass is beautiful and soft. The contractor has stopped out several times to check up on it, making sure everything was going as planned. I was not expecting that. I have a gorgeous lawn!
