Description of Work: When we found out that what we thought was a clogged drain in our kitchen sink was really a more serious problem of corroding pipes under our basement floor we called Paul Vadnais Plumbing for an evaluation of the situation. Another plumber had told us we would have to jackhammer the cement floor in the basement to get to the pipes. This would entail pulling up carpeting and breaking up about 10 feet of cement floor. Nick agreed with the previous plumber but suggested that instead he could re-route the kitchen pipes through the basement ceiling. We would then have new pipes and not have to worry about those old pipes under the floor. That suggestion sounded great to us. He ran the pipes through the ceiling making minimal holes. Nick did a great job. He was efficient, neat, and friendly. He also installed piping to bring our sump pump up to code. He recommended someone to take care of the dry wall work we needed for our ceiling and he came back a few days later for a follow up meeting and showed us how to hook up the hose for the sump pump. We were very pleased with the experience and will definitely hire Paul Vadnais Plumbing again when the need arises

Description of Work: Had a pipe leaking inside a wall. There was no access panel to that pile, but they were able to make a SMALL hole in the area to access the pipe. And then we put in a access panel for future use.

 + -1 moreI called Paul Vadnais Plumbing and Paul answered the phone. I explained I had a leak coming from our main plumbing stack and asked if he could give me an estimate for the repair. He came right over and brought his son and determined with-in a couple of minutes that problem was with the toilet leaking and not the main stack. Based on the leak, he suspected the flange was a problem (too high or too low) or the toilet wasn't installed correctly (we recently had our bathroom remodeled). Paul gave me a price range for the work (depending on what he found when the toilet was removed). I ok'd the work and once he got the toilet off he determine the mounting flange was too high for the toilet. He removed the old one (this was a bit of work as the home was bullt in 1955 and I think the flange was the original one) and installed a new one. During the entire process, Paul and his son were considerate and mindful of any mess they made and did a great job of cleaning everything up.
Description of Work: Repaired leaky toilet by replacing flange.

 + 0 moreWe were getting silt -like debris out of our outdoor faucets. Paul and Ronnie came out with a couple days of my call to install a filter that siphons out the silt. Paul gave me specific directions as to how to operate the system which I really appreciated. I would use them again if I had any plumbing needs.

 + -1 moreThey were quick to answer the phone when we called. They gave us a good quote, and arrived quickly, well within the time window they said they would. They quickly looked over the situation, and quickly started the draining and removal process. Once the area was cleared and cleaned up, they brought in the new unit, and did a wonderful job of re-routing the needed pipes. They closed off the old exhaust for the chimney, and drilled a hole in the side of the house for the new direct vent. When finished, they cleaned up everything. While the price was a bit steep, for emergency, weekend work, it was done so well that it didn't matter as much. Extremely professional, excellent quality work, and very friendly attitude. It was a pleasure to watch a professional at work.
Description of Work: Called on Saturday afternoon (weekend before New Years) with a badly leaking water heater. Came out and drained old heater, removed it and re-worked the exhaust to seal off the chimney connection Brought in new heater, re-plumbed, put in new gas line. They put in new direct vent exhaust. cleaned up the area.

 + -1 moreTh plumber arrived exactly on time, quickly went about his business, and was very thorough and respectful (removed shoes upon entering the house). He had to go to his supplier to get a part and did not charge for the trip time. As a first experience having a plumber to the house, it was a very positive experience.
Description of Work: Paul and his son replaced the cartridge in one shower faucet and replaced a pipe in another shower. They were prompt, fair, respectful and did an excellent job.

 + 0 moreHe is the only plumber that I had handy. He is very responsive and they did a few things that may have fixed the problem. He knows what he is doing, he does it pretty quickly, and he owns up to any mistake he makes. I think the price was pretty good but I can't really judge it.
Description of Work: Our kitchen drain line plugs up periodically so I contacted Paul Vadnais Plumbing. They snaked it out and tried to figure out why it does that.

 + -1 moreHe and his son tried to replace the entire house in one day. It was a long day for them. Over the next 3 days there were 3 leaks in Cu joints. He cured each quickly when we notified him and compensated us nicely. (Ptex is a non linear tubing but cheaper than Cu. It doesn't look good.)
