Patrick, the owner, was responsive, professional, and friendly from our initial contact through post-job follow up. Prior to submitting his proposal, Patrick clearly described what he could and could not do as we walked through the house discussing the work to be done. For example, he indicated that we would have to remove books from bookcases, but we could leave file drawers in file cabinets for them to shift these items around as they worked. This made for an uncomplicated time of it when they arrived on the scheduled day for the job. Patrick did a very good job of letting us know what to expect, and he and his crew met and exceeded those expectations. It was a pleasure doing business with Flooring Removal, Inc., and I have no reservations recommending them.

I had met Patrick at the Minneapolis Home and Garden Show and made plans for him to come out and estimate my job. He was very prompt and accommodating of my schedule in planning an evening visit and also very prompt in providing his bid for the various jobs. I liked that I could do the planning work with Patrick via email. I was impressed from the beginning with the work ethic demonstrated by Patrick as he painstakingly explained the care they would take to protect my home from any potential adverse effects of their demolition. They were very careful while in my home to block off the areas where they were working and left my home clean and free of debris, with no damage whatever to adjacent areas. They worked quickly and within the timeframe needed to accommodate the other providers for my various projects. When I let Patrick know my schedule had changed for the work I was getting done, he adjusted his schedule to return earlier than planned and put my appliances and furniture back in place. True to his habit of providing the highest quality work,he chose to replace the plumbing valve that operates my refrigerator ice maker just to ensure that it would be functioning properly after they were done. I have been extremely happy in all of my dealings with Flooring Removal, Inc., and would highly recommend their services.

I contacted Flooring Removal about a week before the work commenced. Patrick David, the owner was very punctual in returning my phone call. We made an appointment to meet the next day so he could review the project. Patrick arrived on time and was very professional and friendly in discussing the project. I received a quote promply within a day or so. I told him I was planning to supplies the dumpter, since it would also be needed by my other contractors working on the remodeling project. He gave me the name of a dumpter company that he frequently uses and when I called and told them I was referred by Floor Removal, they gave me a discount price. Patrick and his crew showed as scheduled and immediately covered my hall and door openings with plastic to keep dust within the work area. They removed everything I asked them to and cleaned up the work area when they finished. I was surprised by how quickly and thoroughly they did the work. It was very apparent that they had taken great care doing the work as promise. I would not hesitate to use their services again.

I was having my floors redone when I was on vacation. They had to come in advance to do the removal of the vinyl flooring. In the process, they broke a couple of light fixtures. The guy left replacement parts, and I ended up having to replace one ceiling fan completely, which was a couple hundred bucks. When I got back, I discovered that they backed their truck into the front of the house and ripped the custom gutter off of the front. I didn't know it at first because the guy tried to fix it himself. He called me a couple of days after I got back into town and told me what had happened. I told him I was going to have to get the gutter guy back. I asked Flooring Removal for a check to cover the cost. A year later, I received a check, and the check bounced. He called me and gave me a heads up that the check bounced. They did a really good job at removing the floors, but the rest of the interaction was unsatisfactory.

Fantastic experience. Patrick of Flooring Removal, Inc. visited and had a quote to me via email within a day of my first call. We had hoped to strip off the flooring to expose the original hex tile underneath, so Patrick and his assistant were careful not to harm the hex. That is, until he hit the strip of concrete that ran through the center of the bathroom where pipes had been added sometime during our old house's life. Patrick worked with us to make a plan for how to go forward, and helped us find a tiler (Cunningham Tile). He returned to complete the cleaning work once the tiler had determined he could lay new hex right over the old floor. The final result looks great, thanks in large part to Patrick's professionalism, efficiency, and attention to detail.

Patrick helped out a lot on the phone... I didn't really know what I needed to do in the first place. He came time, quoted a fair price and got to work. He was done very quickly. Cleaned the job up really well. Protected the area with plastic and everything to make sure no surrounding area got damaged... and left the place spic and span. My wife came home and was quite impressed. I would use him again with any floor removal or demo needed.

Everything from beginning to end went extremely well. From our first phone conversation, through our first meeting, choosing materials, and setting up the plan, through having the work done in a very timely fashion, working with owner Patrick David was a very pleasant experience. The work proceeded as scheduled, took only 3 days, and looked really fantastic when it was finished. Everyone who worked here was pleasant and courteous, kept the house as clean as possible. The job came in on estimate, and was even finished several hours earlier than anticipated. They put all the appliances and furniture back in place, and cleaned up very nicely. Also, they separated the work area from the rest of the house so as to contain the dust. What else can I say? I'd hire them again without a second's hesitation, and loudly sing their praises to everyone that will listen.

Patrick originally gave us an estimate over the phone, which came out to be very close to the final cost. He arrived early in the morning of the scheduled day, and moved four heavy pieces of furniture out of the living room and removed the old living room carpet. He came back later that afternoon to move back the furniture after the new carpet was installed. Everything went smoothly.

We wanted to save some tiles from the linoleum floor as they had interesting animal illustrations. Patrick cut them out! Clean up was perfect and we are very happy!

The job was done better than I expected. They removed my carpet and cut it up so that the city would pick it up. They cleaned the floor so that the people putting done the carpet could come right in.

Our old vinyl floor needed to be removed before the maple floor underneath could be refinished. The old vinyl had been in place for about 20 years and the folks who had put it in had also used a leveler goop under the vinyl that had hardened into the floor. This made it a horrible job to remove, which the sanding company needed done before they could start their job. The Flooring Removal folks came in and moved out all my appliances, and worked all day to get up all the old vinyl and layers of glue, etc. It was a pretty awful job which I was very glad not to have to do myself. After the floor had been refinished, Flooring Removal came back in to put the appliances back in place without a scratch or dent to my nice new floor.

Patrick was very responsive to my e-mail. On very short notice, he accommodated my schedule and agreed to come in the late afternoon. Originally, I hired him to remove the carpet in one bedroom only. After seeing how fast and meticulous he works, I asked him to remove the carpet in the remaining areas. Even though it took several hours to finish, Patrick agreed to finish the job that very evening. He was very professional, thorough and detail-oriented. Patrick's bid was by far the least expensive. It was a pleasure to work with Patrick, and I will certainly hire him again in the future.

I got a quick response, he showed up promptly and was very professional. He discussed the situation with the leak and described clearly what he would do to remove the floor and haul it off. The only reason I didn't have him do the job is that my installer offered to do the job for the same cost, which simplified things a little (one contractor vs. two, etc.)

The work was exactly what I had in mind for this project. It was not a fun job but it was handled quickly and respectfully. Patrick David returns phone calls quickly, demonstrates patience and understanding when spoken with, and does what he says he's going to do. He is very personable, non-judgmental and has a reassuring manner about him. I felt that we were in good hands with Patrick and we were! HIRE THIS MAN! You will not be disappointed. He will be my first call if the opportunity ever arises to use his services again, and I'm sure it will. I also felt he was trustworthy and would not have hesitated to let him have free reign of the house unsupervised. In fact, my mother probably slept most of the time the work was being done. So, for all certain purposes, Patrick and crew did have free reign and nothing was out of line. Getting Patrick's name from Angie's List is worth the membership price alone. Look no further if you need flooring removed, Patrick is the best!

When he came and looked at it, he said he would have someone out the next morning. He had to leave for another appointment. About an hour later he came back and said he would do the job right away. He did a great job and took the old carpet with him.

Patrick and his crew did a great job removing our old wood floor preparing it for ceramic tile installation. Our floor was/is not level because of an addition that was done by previous owners. Patrick attempted to level it and because he was not able to do it to his satisfaction he did not want to be compensated for his unsuccessful attempt. He and his crew were prompt, were very thorough in their work (the tile installer was quite pleased), were clean and minimized the dust/dirt in any renovation project and worked with our schedule. I'd recommend Flooring Removal to anyone.

Went very well. I have used this company several times in my rental home business, and always find it top quality in all respects. In this case, he kept one carpet intact, as the tenant wanted to use it on top of the restored floor.

Patrick is great! This is the third time I've had him remove flooring in my house and each time he does an excellent job, is always on time, and cleans up when the work is completed. I've got one more room left to re-do, and I will definitely call him for the job.

Patrick was very professional, prompt (with the estimate and the work), knowledgeable (about carpeting and flooring), helpful (about recommending who to go to for refinishing my floors), and in general very accommodating. He provided an overall excellent service. I particularly liked that Patrick in no way talked down to me (a woman) as others have.

We ended up not deciding to have the work done at this time. Great and very responsive. I am sure he would have done a great job but we decided to hold off on that project.

Good, except he should have protected the basement. When we went to look down there before he started he said the seams were tight enough but there was a LOT of debris after they left, along with a broken light bulb. To his credit, I'm sure he would have cleaned it up if I spotted it before they left, because the actual work area was spotless.
