Description of Work: We needed help restarting our hot water heater.

Description of Work: Owner and master plumber Les Zell arrived before his promised time. He correctly diagnosed our problem with a pipe was beacase of two leaking toliets. He installed two new flush values seals and adjusted both levels to fix the leaks. He was pleasant and professional. Most of the cost was due to just the basic service call. We would recommend him and he'll be the guy we call next time we new a plumber.

Description of Work: We had a leaky water softener and Les called all over town to find a replacement (they no longer manufacture the same size). After a day, he managed to put together a replacement for that water heater, plus replace the second water heater that supplies the in-floor heating system. (That water heater was just as old and just as likely to leak.) He gave us 6 different options for a replacement, but this is the one we chose (replacing both). So we contracted for a new shut-off valve, and 2 new gas water heaters. He will come back to install the second water heater later in the summer, as we do not run the in-floor heating until October. Les was very responsive and kept my husband and I updated constantly to the progress of the project and was very professional. He did extensive research to find the right product for our house and was great at explaining what our issues were and the different options and prices. We will call him again for future work.

Description of Work: After observing some water seepage under our kitchen floor tiles, we noticed water in the back of our kitchen cabinet under the sink. We have used Zell's before and were very satisfied with their service. After isolating the problem, fixing the leak they helped determine the extent of the water damage. They then further helped by providing information to our insurance adjuster so we could file a claim. | |We decided that, in addition to doing the repairs, that we would replace our kitchen and bathroom sinks and fixtures. Les and Scott did the removals and installations in a timely (and tidy) manner. They were "family friendly" working with our needs and answering questions from a very curious 4 year old grandson. Zell's took us through a very frustrating situation in a friendly and helpful way. | |We have other project planned for the future and will be using them again.

Description of Work: Excellent plumber, fair pricing compared to other estimates. Know their business.

Description of Work: A copper pipe sprung a leak. Zell came out the same day and replaced the section of broken pipe. |Note:I did not have time to shop around. The price seemed appropriate to me. Also, I do not remember the exact day.

Description of Work: A plumber came over right on time to fix a leak in our basement. He warned that the pipes were over 100 years old and could bust open when he'd tighten it. Nothing broke, it was fixed. He asked if there was anything else he could do for me. I said no bust then noticed a puddle by my fridge. He got down on the floor, took parts off the fridge and fixed that free of charge. Loved the guy.

Description of Work: Had a trap joint that had come loose - water under the sink the day before we were leaving - help! Called Zell and we had the boss himself at noon to fix the mess. He fixed and improved the set up to prevent it happening again and when we asked for the bill he laughed and said he was running a tab. They have done quite a lot of work for us and this was a pretty quick fix but I hope he means it - I am happy to pay for such quick, professional service.

Description of Work: Two bolts were repaced that connected the tank to the toilet to stop leaking. The job was small, took 15 minutes and parts were cheap. The workman was very prompt, professional and told me not to do any more than I had to ( meaning replace the toilet). I was confident that he gave me the correct info......however, i felt the charge of $ 187.00 was high for replacing two bolts. I would have them again, but check prices before calling

Description of Work: Unclogged basement drain.

Description of Work: I had a massive sewer back-up in my ground floor condo. It was determined it was too large to be caused by myself and we found my lines are shared by other units Mr Les Zell put a check valve in my laundry room and attemped to find out where to install another one to prevent another back up The contractor would not provide any plumbing plans, so Mr Zell studied the sewer contractor's video of the pipes, all at no cost to me. He spent a lot of time consulting with my son as to how to solve this problem at no fee. He also did some work on my kitchen sink (not related to the back-up)

Description of Work: I had a toilet that was running and the shut-off valve broke. Wes from Zell Plumbing was able to fix it. He was on time, very friendly and able to explain what he was going to do, what choices I had, and what the costs would be. He was quick and got the job done right. He is part plumber and part teacher. He even showed me a quick to deal with a slow drain. He was great! He is my plumber from now on! I tell everyone about him. A Plus!

Description of Work: DISASSEMBLED BATHROOM SINK DRAIN, USED CLEANING AUGER, RE-ASSEMBLED DRAIN BUT WASN'T HAPPY WITH SPEED OF DRAIN SO TOOK IT ALL APART AGAIN, CLEANED AGAIN AND PUT BACK TOGETHER. WORKS GREAT.

Description of Work: Zell plumbing came out to take a look at an issue we were having with water that leaked from our kitchen sink on to the kitchen floor. He fixed our problem, checked all the drains and also refitted some new faucets we had bought for our bathroom and kitchen faucets. we had also asked for a quote on changing out our water heater and Zell was very helpful in helping us to figure out if it was even worth our replacing our water heater. As it turned out it wasn't but we were very impressed that Zell did not try to upsell us or convince us that we needed a new water heater which wouldn't have been hard to do since we somewhat inclined that way. I will definitely go with Zell again when we are ready to do some major plumbing work or need help with replacing our water heater. I would recommend Zell as a good plumbing service.

Description of Work: very professional and punctual. Josh laid down drop clothes to protect the floors and carpet and left no messes. Easy to contact with follow up questions. Arrived at least 30 min. before city came out to turn off water and laid out his tools, so that when city turned off main water, he could quickly repair the main valve. Quality work for a reasonable price.
