Zell Plumbing & Heating

I called Zell this morning. They cheerfully said they had someone in our area, and within 10 minutes Josh called, saying he'd be here in about 40 minutes. He was right on time, maybe early. I was AMAZED that I could call in the morning and have someone here, practically within the same hour. 1. Snaking the toilet solved the problem. Josh showed me how to use the heavy duty snake in case we want to get one for future issues. I thought it was great that he'd share the information. 2. He quickly identified the kitchen sink leak (a cracked 'nut' around a pipe) and replaced it. 3. In addition to the original requests, I asked him also to untangle the kitchen spray hose from the undersink pipes, and asked about the leaky spray nozzle. He explained what he thought the problem might be, but I wasn't prepared to have that fixed at this time. Also asked if he could secure our loose & wobbly water filter spigot. He fixed the hose, but couldn't do anything with the broken water filter thing...probably needs replacing. He was here about an hour, worked fast, explained/showed me what was wrong and what needed to be done. He is a sunny, competent young man and I immediately trusted him. He happily addressed the couple of additional kitchen sink issues that I hadn't mention in my original request. Replacement part was $7, the rest was labor. I don't know what the going hourly rate is for plumbing, but it seemed in line with other professional services, and it was worth it to us to have the problems solved without our having to risk worse problems fixing it ourselves. Amanda in the office was also cheerful, professional, and delivered on her promise to get someone to my house quickly. I will definitely call Zell again if we need further plumbing work!

He is a master plumber and did a wonderful job and was very thorough.

Josh arrived the morning after I called and did a really good job--made a good leak-free seal. I have used Zell Plumbing a few times in the past and they always go a fine job. However, this time I was surprised that 15 minutes of work cost so much.

Les was prompt and was very informative, after discussing what we were interested in having done, worked quickly. We are pleased with the results.

We replaced our kitchen counter top and decided to get a new kitchen sink and faucet. We installed a Silestone countertop and wanted a under counter sink. We have used Zell in the past and gave them a call.Josh contacted me ( he has done work at our house in the past ) and went over all the things that needed to be done . He sent us to Fergusons Provisions,a plumbing showroom/wholesale house. We picked out the sink and faucet that we wanted. Fergusons worked with Zell from that point on. When I had a counter install date I called Josh, Zell plumbing and set it up for him to come out right after the counter was installed. On the day the counter was to be installed the counter people called to say they would be three hours late. I called Josh and he said it would be no problem he would come three hours later. The install went great and Josh is a professional in all respects. I would use Zell plumbing and Josh for all my plumbing needs in the future.

Zell was right on time at 7:00am, and worked very quickly and cleanly. Everything looked great upon completion, which took right about 1 hour. Very friendly service, and also brought up other 'opportunities' for repairs to get some items up to code. Did not push the sale, though. Great guy!

Plumber showed up on time, the estimate was correct, the work looks good and the plumber cleaned up when he was finished. Very professional, absolutely no complaints. The price may be a little on the high side, but in exchange you get honest, professional and courteous service.

Got an appointment for the next day. Josh arrived on time and completed the work in a timely manner. He was friendly and cleaned up after himself.

Called Zell Plumbing and set up appointment. They showed up on time and explained what could be involved and labor costs best case to worst case. I asked plumber to replace flush mechanism too since it was worn from 18 years (about 60,000 flushes worth!) of use. He did a excellent job - and a quick job as well. Total cost was significantly less than I was expecting.

My call to Zell Plumbing was returned promptly and appointment for early the next morning was set up. I decided I wanted to purchase new unit myself and have Zell install it. On phone with Zell representative we discussed brands and models. Based on this and Consumer Reports, I purchased a unit and Zell installed it the next day. Install was quick and professional, but a bit more expensive than I expected.

Excellent quality work done moving drains and copper pipes for water sources. Gave a very reasonable estimate on a time & materials basis and then got to work getting the job done quickly. Worked steadily with excellent results. I could not have been more pleased and will hire again for our next project of a bathroom remodel and will also be calling them as soon as my aging water heater finally dies. I now have a plumbing company that I can trust to charge a fair rate and deliver excellent quality. I highly recommend Zell Plumbing.

Once I received the warranty replacement valve from Delta, I called to see if Zell (based on Angies's ratings/reports) would be interested in installing a valve they had not supplied. Amanda said sure and set me up with an appointment for Les (owner) to come out and take care of it. Les called me back that same day, and after I explained the situation, we arranged a service call a day later. Les arrived right on time, and did a wonderful job (even with me watching!). His years as a master plumber showed as he balanced torch, pliers, solder, and cooling rags to keep the copper stubs going into pex tubing from overheating. It was nice to watch a master at work, and all the time not missing a beat while we chatted about and solved most of the world's problems. It was a great experience; or at least 10x better than you'd think a plumbing experience would be.

We were very happy with the results. Everything was done very professionally and above and beyond. We had used Zell Plumbing several years ago. And we were pleased to use their services again.

Tom was quick to respond and very personable, however we had to have him out twice to fix the same problem and he charged twice with an hourly rate. On the second visit we had uncovered another problem, which he fixed also but he did bill for his time fixing the first problem again.

Overall, the experience was wonderful! I called Zell Plumbing based on reports in Angie's List. They provided a specific plumber's phone number (Josh Rockow) and he returned my call promptly and we set a date (I actually needed two dates...one for after the new counters had been installed).He was there Monday morning when scheduled, told me what had to be done as I went, did tiny little 'extras' such as snake out my drains, put calking on my bathtub, let me know why and how he had to cut a hole in the wall before he did it, etc. The fee seems like a lot but I did my research and the $142.00/hour fee is reasonable and Josh stayed focused and worked as quickly as possible. I would certainly recommend Josh and Zell and I will call them again the next time I need a plumber.

Asked for fixing a toilet, but while here asked them to check some exposed plumbing in the basement. There was a small leak. During the repair process another leak developed around a previously-used water softener. Here's what was fixed: the toilet was rebuilt, the plumbing leak no longer exists, and the pipe flow to the water softener was re-routed. All the work was in the basement. The basement is now dry, the toilet there is rebuilt, and there are no known leaks.

Tom Schilling the plumber answered each of my calls within 15 minutes and did his best to keep the expense down to a minimum. After almost an hour of work he determined that the problem was with the exhaust pipe, not the water heater itself, and that it could be fixed by the townhome maintenance crew without any further expense to me. However, the maintenance men could not find any visible blockage either in the external pipes or in the pipes in the attic. When they decided to saw the attic pipes apart, I told them to wait until I got Tom on the line. He walked them through several procedures and within minutes determined that the builders had installed the pipes with the pitch running in the wrong direction. Excess water had collected in the elbow of the pipe and blocked the exhaust. The problem was fixed in five minutes with a zipper tie. Tom's generosity with his time, his advice and his expertise was well worth the expense. He deserves an A+ for all that he did.

We LOVE Zell Plumbing! The plumbing service for our home was Excellent! Most importantly we had a EMERGENCY plumbing situation and we called and the next day it was fixed! As a result of the excellent service we got from the urgent call we made an appt for more services. The customer service of the person answering the phone was very good, she gave our info with all accurate info to the plumber. Their website was good and it helped us understand if it would service our area. Les was the best plumber I have met in a long time, very professional, friendly, and he explained all info to us with great patience. He helped recommend the best quality and best purchase of our hardware. In the last couple of months the work has held fast and we have had no problems. He fixed our sink, installed hardware and explained what he was doing as he worked. His work was fast and quality driven. He was very flexible with our hours and he was prompt down to the minute. He cleaned up the areas where he worked and gave us the old parts. The price was good as we used the online coupon and he never wavered from the estimate unless we agreed. He explained the estimate and made recommendations to keep costs at bay! Excellent, we would recommend 100%!

Josh was on time, professional, and extremely pleasant. He worked diligently and seemed to be deliberate in his work, not rushing to get done. It took him a bit longer than he probably wanted as we threw fixing a pipe coupling on our tub on him at the last minute. But it was still all done within 2-3 hours. He even pointed out some "cheaper" alternatives that the builder used for some of the sink and tub plumbing and let us know what the were more reliable options. Josh was great and I felt very comfortable with him in my home.
