Zell Plumbing & Heating

My daughter called me in a panic as her water heater had stopped working. I researched for her ( I am a long term member) and gave her a list of 3 from Angies List. She called all 3 and was most pleased with the responsiveness of Zell. She scheduled the work, and was happy with every aspect of it. We both plan to use them again.

I had no problem with their price whatsoever. They were very friendly, very professional, and very knowledgeable. They can come back tomorrow. There were no discrepancies with their punctuality. He was so close to what he said, it was unbelievable. He got here at 8 and he told us the water heater would be here at 9. It actually came at 5 minutes to 9. It was just unbelievable. The individual I had was just terrific. His name was Josh and I would recommend him to anybody. I think the price was very reasonable. I checked out the water heater they put in. It was top of the line. Their responsiveness was terrific. I plan to use them again in the future.

The entire experience was simple and straightforward. Josh was friendly, efficient and completely professional. I would definitely hire Zell Plumbing again based on this experience.

Awesome. Les talked me through many of the items as he did them so I won't need him to help me with them again. I cannot recommend him enough!

I called the day before the service and talked to someone about the situation. She took my name and phone number down and the problem I was having. Told me that a plumber would be calling me to set up a time. Within an hour, Josh called and wanted to know the problem and said I could probably fix it with just a turn of a wrench, but I said I wanted someone to come to look at it and also, since it seemed like it had been leaking for months, I wanted to make sure that the floor hasn't been damaged. So we set the appt. for 9am the next day. Josh called at 8:36am that morning saying he was running late and that he would be here at 9:15am instead. I said fine. He showed up between 9:15-9:30, which was fine. Showed him the problem and he indicated that it look like the fluidmaster fill valve pipe had cracked (the part that is attached to the bottom of the tank where the tube from the water source is connected to). So he replaced that, plus the tube that goes from that to water source. It took him all of maybe 15 min. to do all of this. He also went down stairs to see if there had been any damage done to the floor due to the leaking. Informed me that the floor is still in good shape. This is the 3rd time I have used Zell plumbing and will use them again. Only thing I wish they would do is charge at half hour increments instead of full hour. One hour labor is $142/hr.

Josh was on time, worked fast & fixed out toilet. We had two other plumbers try to fix it in the past year, but this time it works. Great Job!

After I called Zell and was told someone will call me back, I lost my hope as another company promised the same and nobody ever called. Les called less than 15 minutes later and I was more than thrilled to hear from someone. He was very professional, explained what I needed, and answered all my questions.

I called Zell after receiving 4 other quotes...1 in person and 3 over the phone. I was told one of the plumbers would call me back to quote me on the phone. Les called within the hour and I had an immediate comfort level in speaking with him. I ended up going with Zell. Their quote was middle of the pack but I still found it to be reasonable. The job was scheduled a few weeks in advance to work around a trip I was taking. A few days prior to the date, Les called to confirm the details. On the day of the job, Les showed up early and we discussed exactly what needed to be done. Les worked quickly and efficiently and took the time to point out some things I would need to know later. He was clean and made sure everything was in order before he left. The initial estimate was reduced based on my discharge line already having a check valve. I would have not known this even if it was billed to me..so I appreciated the honesty. Based on my experience today, I would definitely recommend Les of Zell plumbing.

Very well. I discovered the flare nut size mismatch with our new dryer once it was delivered, and we had a backup of laundry to do so wanted to get it hooked up same day. Called Zell and literally within 30 minutes the plumber was there. He just happened to be in the vacinity and have a cancellation. 30 minutes later he had it connected. I'm sure not their typical response time, but we appreciated it. Price felt a bit steep for a fairly basic job, but it is what it is.

At about 3pm on a Wednesday afternoon, water started to flood from my toilet and into my kitchen and eventually below into my basement. The water just kept on going and going with no end in site. I quickly called found Zell off of Angie's List and told them of my stressful situation. Leste called me back withing 15 minutes, and right away calmed me down told me that he could walk me through the steps over the phone to stop this and root out the issue or come down himself for an emergency fee of 200 dollars, I believe. He stated that he did not feel right taking my money since he had an idea of what it was. Long story short, Leste was able to pin point the issue to a backed up main water drain (over the phone!). Nothing to do with the actual plumbing of the house, so he suggested I call my main sewer guy who is capable of fixing the issue from that end. (I did call Olson Sewer, and it did end up being a broken main pipe outside my house that leads to the my septic tank). Thanks Leste! You guys really made a potentially bad situation better and restored my faith the Plumbing industry. I am keeping your number and name handy for my next plumbing fiasco .

As usual, Zell was very prompt in responding and the plumber was courteous and knowledgable. Everything now works fine.

We needed an estimate to upgrade some old plumbing. Josh was our contact at Zell and came to the house to give us an estimate. He was very nice, and we were looking forward to working with him. After a few back and forth phone calls, he was supposed to email us a couple of estimates. And then we never heard from him again. We called several times trying to get him to repsond to us---but had no luck. Even though we liked Josh, he didn't seem to want our business.

He is an old fashion plumber who does dynamite work. He?s just a great guy overall. He?s gone above and beyond what?s required for any work and really looks out for you. He is very dependable and reasonable.

We found Zell on this site, called them and they called back within 24 hours, quoted us, and within 48 hours we had a new frost free faucet installed as well as internal shut off valve just for that pipe. If it was an emergency, they would have come out sooner, but it was under control at the time. They were did a great job at a fair price and we are very happy with the results. All around, they were a very professional comnpany to deal with. I believe two guys own the usioness, so I was also happy giving a job to two hard working business professionals vs. a giant company.

I was very happy with the service that Zell provided. He was efficient and knowledgeable. He came out promptly and fixed our issue. He also gave us an estimate on additional work that we are still considering. I would not hesitate to do business with Zell again in the future.

Went real good. Josh came out two days after I called at the time we agreed on and finished the work in less than an hour. He's very professional and easy to deal with.

I did not have to contact the service provider, but you wouldn't let me answer that way on this form! I also tried to give N/A as an answer to the question regarding OVERALL EXPERIENCE, but this form wouldn't let me do that, either!

I called the week before to arrange for Josh to come out after new counter tops were installed and new appliances delivered. I hired Josh after reading the other Angie's List reports. I was very pleased with Josh and his work. I would hire him again in a heartbeat. I had a lot of work to do and he handled ALL of it. He worked from 9:45ish to 4:00ish. He took a short lunch break, picking up a part that was needed for one of my projects along the way. The work Josh did in one day would have taken me two weeks and then I would have had to call Josh anyway!!! Thanks Josh.

They called me back withing a couple of hours and we scheduled the work to be done in two days. They gave me an estimated time of arrival and called before that to ask if they could come early. The work was done as agreed in about 90 minutes.

Te project went smoothly, quickly and under the estimate.

I have used this company before and Josh is usually the plumber who works on the problems here. This week, other things came up that I had to do, so I had to change the schedule a couple times. Josh worked with me on getting the work scheduled. He figured out the problems and fixed them.

I had a new kitchen sink installed with new countertops and needed someone to finish the plumbing. We have used Zell for another job and they did great, so we decided to use them again. We are very pleased. They respond quickly and are very friendly.

Josh did a lot of research for us on different types of backup systems. We decided on a certain type and the work was completed as promised. He was timely and courteous. I continue to have good luck with Josh and Zell Plumbing and will use them again. I recommend them to others.
