+ -1 moreGreat! I assumed that I would need to replace the lock and rekey all the others, but Troy was able to get the broken key out of the old lock and get it working and much better than it was before.
Description of Work: I broke a key in a sticky deadbolt. I called Troy as soon as I did it, and he called back in a couple hours. He offered to come out that day, but I told him him the next day was fine.

+ -1 moreThe installation started at 10 am as scheduled and was completed about 3;00 pm. There were no complications in the installation. Even the steel front door was not a problem and there was no additional cost for fitting a lock in a steel door. The installer left the old spring locks with us and said four of the five were still good and someone we know perhaps could use them. They installer cut us four keys. There is also a 10 % Senior Discount which my mother used. The workmanship and service by White Bear Locksmith is excellent. I recommend it as your locksmith choice!
Description of Work: Instoa deadbolt locks on five doors - four exterior doors and one interior door between attached garage and house. The 60 year old house had never before been fitted for deadbolt locks. This is my 96 year old mothers house. She had five doors with five different spring loaded locks, but only had the key to the spring loaded lock on the front door. When this failed, I convinced her to get five deadbolt locks for the the five doors and all keyed to the same locking key. In addition, Donna Whitman at White Bear suggested I get door levers instead of doorknobs as the levers are easier to use to open doors when one has packages in hand. I did not think of door levers and found this advice most useful and choose to have door levers installed instead of door knobs.

They provided specific estimates and alternative options when I described the problems I had. They found a cheaper solution than other locksmiths estimated. The man doing the work showed up promptly, explained all the work being done, completed timely. He was very professional and friendly, and cleaned up after himself (i.e. due to the drilling).
Description of Work: I needed a new deadbolt lock, a door re-aligned so the existing lock worked, rekeying in all entry doors. The new deadbolt required drilling in the steel door.

He showed up right on time, went through the scope of work in detail, collected lock cores, and went to work in his van. He returned within 30 minutes and re-installed all. He even reset the striker plates and ensured proper closure of the doors.
