Roger Vadnais Plumbing & Pump Service Inc

I have used Roger Vadnais plumbing ever since the year 2000 when we got “this old 1950’s house” in Shoreview. I was always impressed, usually saw Gordy, sometimes Paul, or others, for various installations and repairs. They really saved me this one late Sunday night in 2011 when suddenly our toilets stopped working. I told the phone scheduler how the next morning my son, who was visiting, had to fly out east for his first deployment to Afghanistan. What a relief it was when Roger himself took off on that Sunday night and came over to our house and fixed the plumbing. Obviously, that earned my undying gratitude. Since that time, various things have needed to be done at this house, and usually Vadnais plumbing has been doing them, typically, I see Gordy, or Paul. I’m going to give them a call this morning about something I need done about a slow pipe leak. I’ll ask also for an estimate about my basement, which really needs a bathroom and a shower installed!

I wasn't getting hot water and wasn't sure what was going on so I texted the plumber who had come out last year for a different issue. I asked him what it would cost for him to come out on a weekend. He called me back and told me he could come take a look at it and let me know what was going on. The way he spoke, made it sound like he was going to just take a look and not charge me for that. It ended up being my pilot light. He relit it and charged me $185! If I would have known this up front, I would have NEVER had him come out. This charge was never communicated to me. $185 for a pilot relight?! I would have waited for my ex husband to come over and relight it for me. This company is Very misleading! I feel taken advantage of and would never use this company and never recommend them to anyone.

They charged me $2400 to install a new vented water heater. When the chimney pipe leaked water (it was capped off as no longer used), they did not respond to my request to fix it.

They've done work for me in the past. I've had them replaced my well pump, install a water heater and a water softener. My sump pump for my drain tile stopped working yesterday. Roger always calls back right away and is able to get someone to my house within a couple of days if not the next day, which he was able to do this time. I've had the same person come the last several of times and he's great. Super nice (and loves my dog, which is a plus), gets here when Roger says he will, and knows his stuff. He was able to determine that the pump didn't need to be replaced and was able to quickly get it fixed. I ended up having him install a new pump in another floor drain for my washer, water softener, etc. that was getting run down and was very loud. I've found they are competitive with prices and usually lower than other companies. I'd highly recommend them!

The water heater install went okay although I think they charged me a lot as it cost $2500. But, the cap they put on the unused chimney pipe leaked snow melt on my basement floor. I called and said considering the price I paid that they should fix that for free. They NEVER returned my call.

Called on Monday. John came early the next day as scheduled, replaced our broken water heater and removed all debris. He did not have any rubber shims to raise the new tank off the basement floor with him so he used wood and said he would come back with the rubber shims. This did not happen. John is very professional both in his appearance and speech. He is knowledgeable of the plumbing field. We used this company to replace our well tank. We plan to continue to use them for our plumbing needs.

They do a great job and are very prompt.

They had to come out a few times to complete the job. After the first time they came out, we thought the faucet was repaired but within a few weeks it had started to leak again, but they did get it fixed the second time. They were professional and on time. They knew what they were doing. They call ahead and make sure we are home before they come out.

Team arrived for the appointment on time and quickly did a stellar job.

After 3 weeks in being accommodating to Roger's personal and business schedule we finally locked down a service date for my remodeling job that would take about 2hrs. We set up the appointment for Friday. I had left two messages prior, Wed-Thur with instruction that the start time would need to be any time after 10am, Roger return my call Friday morning we spoke person to person confirming he got my message. Later Friday I received a phone message from John (son) that he had completed his morning jobs and he was heading for lunch; he will be there sometime after. Around 3:30 no show, so I called had left a phone message “wondering if anyone was going to show”. About 4:30 a call came in from John asking me why I did not call him to confirm when he can come over. Frustrated I simply pointed out that it was scheduled today any time after 10am and confirmation was made of this arrangement this morning with Roger and the afternoon message you left stated no instruction to call back, even though I did give you a courteous text response. After going back and forth and being belittled and faulted over and over again that it was my fault that they had the truck loaded up with the parts needed to complete the job and it was me that did not call back. I said enough!! I asked to come over now and put in the hour or two to get the job done; in response we are done for the day. Then be here tomorrow Saturday; response we do not work on weekends. Then when? Next week. UNBELIEVABLE!!! I hung up. Weekend past three days later no call back to make things right. I have lost 4 weeks on this project, 3 in being very accommodating to their availability and this is what I get in return. If this application would allow me I would grade them FF; accountability=F, integrity=F.

There were issues getting the old strainer basket off of the older stainless sink. The plumber had some special tools he'd made and soon the basket was off! He did a great job and we look forward to them coming to do our remodeling later this year.

Came quickly and fixed it. Professional and personable.

Roger took the initiative when the toilet we had ordered was not immediately available and he ordered a comparable toilet that met our goals. Roger's initiative meant that we were able to have a usable bathroom more quickly than I thought that we would. John was friendly, professional and hard working. John answered all my questions and he was very knowledgeable about how to complete this task quickly and efficiently. John made sure that our bathroom was spicy and span when he left

I think the gentleman who worked on us was very communicative. He was good at what he did. He was energetic. We asked for a more detailed account of the hours the gentleman put in, and his boss was kind of offended that we asked. The young guy they sent out to work was very efficient, and he was a nice person. He did good work.

We noticed a black oozing mud puddle in our yard even though it was 30 degrees outside. Called for service the Friday after Thanksgiving. Tech came out on Monday, dug up the pipe, and replaced a joint that had been stressed open by a tree root. The tech tested and filled the hole, and all is good again.

They are very professional and they show up on time. They are fitting us in between other jobs since we are doing the tiling ourselves. They have even checked on us to see how we are doing and when they can finish up their part. Best experience and so appreciative of their customer service. We did not put cost for project since we aren't done yet. But they are fair for the services we have had to date - installing and leveling tub.

Excellent. Tom is easy to work with, very polite, analyzed all the problems and solved them. Extremely happy with service.

I would recommend the firm to anyone

Vadnais is the easy ad convenient option for me since they're right up the street, but there is a price trade-off. The plumber took less than half an hour to flush the drain and install a new plug for the bypass valve and new grate. I was then told it is a $165 minimum for a service call (plus $35 for the new plug and grate). I guess the moral is, try to group more than one project together for a visit with that kind of minimum. Probably should have had him replace a faucet or something :)

Mark showed up right on time. He quickly determined where my plumbing leak was and proceeded to repair it in s very non-obtrusive manner. Mark also quickly repaired a leaky vanity drain that I had not been able to repair 100%. Following the repair of my two plumbing isdues, Mark pointed out a possible major safety issue concerning the gas line supplying the dryer and also repaired this issue. Mark us a credit to Riger Vadnais plumbing. I recommend them highly.

Our old dryer died and we had a new one delivered. The delivery service would not touch the gas hookup and my wife wanted it taken care of that day. I had to be at work so we called Roger Vadnais Plumbing to see if they could come out that day to do it. They came out that afternoon and got it done on very short notice. Great job by a great company.

They are a good solid company and I would recommend them. Their prices are pretty average. They’ve always been really good for us, they even remember us and our names. I trust them.

Excellent, they're a wonderful company to work with. I've had them for different things over the years and all of the service techs are wonderful. They're prompt, courteous, and very careful that they don't make any kind of mess in your home. They use protection if it's an area where they need to go to where it's carpeted, they put down a drop cloth. If you have an emergency, they will come right out, they'll be there within an hour. The techs are very courteous, I've had them for more than one thing and it's always done real well. I've had them for my garbage disposal, general plumbing and every time I don't always have the same person, it doesn't matter who comes, they're wonderful.

He did a good job for a fair price. He was very responsive and came the same day we called even though it was late in the day. We have used him for all our plumbing work for the last 15 years and would not go anywhere else.
