True vine took down 2 trees in neighbors' yards which are both adjacent to our yard. Both trees overhung our yard so I tried to stay in the loop on the operation. True Vine was the 2nd estimate that the neighbors received and they told me it was much less expensive than the competitor who said he would use a crane for removal. I have hired the competitor for a job myself and know that they finish a job in a day and come back in a few days for stump removal. The tree removal with True Vine ended up taking about 5 days from cutting to clean up, excluding stump grinding-more on that later. Micah cut limbs from an aerial lift. Some were roped down but many of them were thrown down. All the yards, including mine, had many divots from the large limbs that impacted. I was happy to have both trees removed since they overhung our house and yard. The 2-4 hours it took to rake up debris left from last fall's removal that was remaining after True Vine's cleanup, applying topsoil to the divoted areas, seeding, mulching and watering the areas, I figured I would let slide. But the stump from both trees still remain to this day. Stump grinding was included in the estimates according to my neighbors. Micah assured me last fall that they would be ground a week or so after tree removal. Unfortunately, both neighbors paid their bills before the stumps were removed. No leverage left now. Micah does not return calls or texts according to my neighbors. Micah seemed to have a rotating crew to help with roped limbs and cleaning up. My guess is that there was no work comp coverage on the casual employees though I cannot say for sure and I do not know if my neighbors received insurance certificates from True Vine. With no work comp coverage, an injury to a worker may fall upon the homeowner's policy. I guess the moral is, you get what you pay for.

Micah was very responsive. I requested a quote and the next day he came out to look at the trees. His quote came in far lower than the other services we had talked to about the work. Micah fit us into his schedule quickly—removing the linden tree one day, and pruning the other trees early the next week. We are very satisfied with the work, and Micah is a great person to work with.
Description of Work: We needed a split Linden tree removed (and stump ground) and a number of our other trees pruned.

Micah (the owner) came out with an estimate that was far below his competitors. Two days later, he was out climbing the tree cutting it down. It took a couple days to complete the project since it was a pretty large tree that involved a lot of manual labor to haul all the debris up to my driveway for disposal. He cleaned up the work site the best as could be expected given the fact that it was winter and there was still at least a 2-4 inch snowpack on the ground that was freezing/re-freezing each night. I just had new siding put up and was kind of anal about him not scratching up and he did not touch it at all. Very professional. He will be back out in the spring to grind out the remaining stump. I would definitely recommend him.
Description of Work: I needed a large maple tree cut down on the back side of my house and disposed of. This included someone climbing the tree and roping off the branches so that they didnt hit the house since the tree was overhanging quite a bit. There's a good size hill one has to walk up to get from behind the house to the front of the house so disposal of the tree would involve a lot of manual labor since its not possible to get heavy machinery in my backyard. It should be noted that this job was going to happen in the winter months with some pretty good snow pack still on the ground.

It all started when my neighbor had gotten a bid to have a tree removed on my property. At first, I figured that the tree should come down do to it's location between our houses. But after considering how much that bid was for, and the fact that it's a great tree that provides lots of shade in the summer on the west side of my house, I decided to get a second opinion. I talked to Micah at True Vine Tree Care after he responded to an online service that I checked into to get my trees looked at. In fact, he called that very same day and left a pleasant message. After making contact and explaining the situation, he came out the next day, determined that there was no reason at all to remove the tree. It only needed maintenance and a feeding. There was a repair made on the trunk to prevent water from getting into the tree and begin rotting it out. I was still wondering if it should come down anyway, and he assured me that the tree was strong and full of life still. His bid was very reasonalbe for the amount of work that he did, not just to that tree, but my other tree in front. He also removed 2 overly grown burning bushes that were causing issues with my siding. The entire job took less then a half a day as promised. And on the day it was originally scheduled for. The clean up was good, but the fresh snow made it more difficult to clean up. but overall, a great job. Highly recommend.

Micah responded very quickly to my initial call and came within a couple days to access job and give his quote of costs. He also gave suggestions for maintenance of trees around perimeter of property, including control of damaging insects and instructions about the correct use of the chips I requested to prevent harm to trees. They scheduled the work within days of first contact. I was very happy with the tree work and with the thorough clean-up they did. I highly recommend Micah and company.
Description of Work: Removed most of large dying tree behind house, leaving few feet of trunk for future bird and squirrel feeding, per my request. Removed several small trees from pasture. Left wood chips, as I asked, for use in landscaping.

It went wonderfully well. We were very happy with Micah and his crew. He/they were professional, knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. They cleared all debris from the vine off of the chimney, dug at the root system to break off as much as possible to prevent further growth as well as letting us know we should contact them if growth reappears next year. If it does he'll come back to see what further remedy would be helpful for preventative care. A very positive experience. Highly recommend.

True Vine Tree Care trimmed trees between our cabin and the lake. They took out the dead wood, as well as selectively clearing so that we had a better line of sight to the lake. They did an excellent job, and the owner remained on site and working the entire time. I appreciate the quality and the price was fantastic for the amount of work completed. They can also diagnose tree health issues and help with those problems.
