In short, Tod of Hutch Construx is fantastic. We had started our master bath design with another contractor but spent months thrashing back and forth over small details from which the old contractor took weeks to get back to me and then only with a sentence or two reply to my paragraphs of detailed explanations and questions as this was going to be a big project and it should have been important to both of us to have all these conversations up front so there'd be no surprises on either end. Even more concerning was the old contractors callous and, in my opinion, bloated and quot;anything to get in my billfoldand quot; pricing. Before we could begin with the old contractor we ended the relationship and became discouraged that our master bath project was in flux. I mention this because when our neighbor introduced us to Tod of Hutch Construx (after he finished a master bath remodel for them) it was like a breath of fresh air. Tod was the exact opposite of the previous contractor in that he was consistently prompt, professional, and extremely competent in all aspects of his trade while being caring and taking time to to talk and check in with me no matter how small the detail. Furthermore, Tod was completely fair, transparent, and flexible in his pricing as in his general contracting proposal he allowed me to contract and manage several aspects of the remodel myself (which the previous contractor would definitely not allow us to do). Tod is incredibly smart, easy going, and has an unbelievable memory for details. His motto is and quot;we nail it right the first timeand quot; and he puts the care and precision into his work to be able to wear that motto proudly. After my experience trying to come to terms with the first contractor Tod was a dream come true and not surprisingly our (rather large) master bath remodel came out amazing and perfect--we wouldn't change a thing (which I expect is not always the case if both the contractor and homeowner aren't totally in sync with each other). As a roll-up-his-sleeves general contractor Tod does nearly all the craftsmanship himself but he naturally has other professional specialists he works with and each of them were equally as enjoyable to work with as Tod. I already have and will continue to unconditionally recommend Tod of Hutch Construx as a contractor for most anything you may want to have done as I'm 100% confident it will be both an enjoyable and productive experience!
