Streeter & Associates Inc

I found this company from a homebuilder's association website, not Angie's List. Their Northfield group got a bunch of awards (something like 5!) so I thought they'd be good to contact. Like most of the contractors we got bids from, this is another large company. I was a little wary of the fact that while they contacted me quickly in response to my initial web-inquiry, it then took them some time to get back to us after that. However, they did get back to us and came in and did an estimate. The turn-around time after that was pretty quick, they had us their detailed description/estimate I think two days after they came in, which was really fast compared to most of the other contractors (the other exception being the contractor we went with in the end). Their bid was about the same as everyone else. The thing that tipped in favor of the other contractor was they gave us detailed architectural plans right off, vs. Streeter who just gave us a bid (a detailed one, though!). We had six contractors come in so we went with the one that gave us the best overall service & communication. Otherwise, Streeter would have been a strong contender.
