They did a fabulous job with the trees. They protected the rest of my garden when they were removing branches. The cleanup was phenomenal. I would recommend them to others and I would use them again.

On the day the crew arrived to trim the trees, there were 6 guys. One of the trimmers is brother to Ryan - sorry we forget his name -- but he added a lot of levity to the seriousness of their job. They were all quite professional, but he made sure to add fun to it. He clearly enjoys his job and his co-workers! Three of them climbed the larger tree in our yard and provided a trim to our locust that we probably should have done with the other locust we had unfortunately taken down several years ago. Having a company that has professional arborists absolutely makes a difference. Between the 6 of them the tree trimming work was performed in under 3 hours. Their clean up was excellent. Several days later Kent came out to grind the two stumps and again, the work was efficient, clean and professional. While the $900 wasn't the cheapest quote we had it was well worth it based on the services and expertise they provided. We felt that we could trust the entire crew to do the best job possible job, arrive when they said they would, and leave our yard in pristine condition. We will hire Ryan's again when we need more work done, as well as rely on his recommendations for other company's services.

Ryan was very easy to work with. He has had a lot of experience with his business and was great with helping us decide what to do to some of the ugly overgrowth of trees at our new home here. He was quick to get out and give us an estimate. In spite of a busy schedule and some rainy days that slowed him down, he still was able to come out the week he promised and got the work done.He was good at communicating on line which is more convenient for us as well.Would definately recommend him to others.

Their crew was professional, showed up when they said they would and completed the project in a single day. It was nice to hire a company that came equipped to handle this large a job. Ryan had approximately 8 crew members and I was very satisfied and happy with the work they completed. I would definitely use them again and I recommend their services.

I found them on Angie’s list. They were well regarded on Angie’s list. He was really so good and so kind because he told me to go to the city because he felt the tree was on the city’s property and I ended up talking to the city and it didn’t work out that way. I thought it was so kind of him to have done that knowing that he was giving up his fee for what it would have cost to do the work. He was wonderful. He went above and beyond the collar duty. It was all positive. He wasn’t the cheapest bid that we got for the work. They went extra mile asking me to contact the city. I got what I paid for. He was very professional.

Ryan's team of approx 8 people arrived and they started working while the owner, Ryan Cox, and I discussed and confirmed the work. Ryan is very professional and focused on making sure the work being done is as the client wants. He provided good advice on various aspects of the work, but ultimately let me make the call. After they left Ryan called to check to see if I was happy with the work, and, after we discussed a couple things, he sent the crew back to do a couple more things. It wasn't that the work wasn't done well the first time, it was just that once it was done, we decided to tweak a couple things. And Ryan did not hesitate to send the team back - in fact he insisted on it. Ryan's Tree Care did a great job. They will definitely be the first team I call next time I again need tree work done.

Overall a great experience. Ryan came out for an estimate and talked us through options to save money. We also got estimates from two other Angie's List companies: one was much higher, one was slightly lower. Ryan dropped his price to the lower one to get the job. We agreed to wait until we had dry conditions before tackling the project to avoid damaging the back yard. Ryan's crew arrived when expected and tackled the job with professionalism and vigor. Taking down a large tree is quite an undertaking, we enjoyed watching them work. They seemed to enjoy their work, used appropriate safety practices, and meticulously cleaned up afterward. The yard was left with very minimal damage - amazing considering the large branches and trunk to be removed. The stump grinding is subcontracted. The crew again was professional, courteous, and meticulous. They dug out all the surface roots and left us with a neat pile of mulch. We will definitely use them again as we need more tree trimming or removal.

They were awesome and super efficient. The work was great and I am very pleased. They were also very conscientious about how they removed any branches in order to avoid my gardens.

Overall it went wonderful. We weren't in any huge rush to get the limb removed, however had to wait a few weeks due to several storms in the area. The very sweet and personable team showed up, scoped everything out and went to work. The service took about 3 hours, which included the set up, cutting and clean up. Our backyard was cleaned up very well - including the front area where they chipped the limbs/logs they hauled away. I was very impressed with all aspects of the service. I forgot to mention that we had Ryan come back a second time to give us an additional quote on some additional trees, hauling it away vs. us hauling the items away, etc. He was very gracious about it, informed us of his process, educated us about the tree, etc. Would use them again... His team was wonderful - as they even offered to help my mom carry a few things out to her car. Thanks Ryan and crew!

I originally called because I needed a VERY large tree in my front yard trimmed that I just couldn't do it myself. I also needed a consultation on a dying tree in my backyard. Ryan personally showed up about an hour after I called to provide an estimate.After talking for a while and looking at this quote, his price was so good I decided to take him up on all of his recommendations for my trees. He ended up trimming and raising the canopies on 4 different maples and 1 ash tree in my yard. He also removed a very large branch off my silver maple out front that was starting to hang a little too low over my driveway. Lastly, I had a dying tree in the backyard that we decided was unfortunately beyond saving, so they removed it and grinded down the stump. It took a couple weeks before Ryan could show up, but he made his stated timeline. They did a great job with my trees and the removal of the old one. They cleared everything out and left my yard in good shape. Overall, I'm very happy with the service they provided and wouldn't hesitate to use them again or recommend them to a friend. Very satisfied and Ryan was extremely professional and personable. A+ job!

We had used Ryan's services in 2005 so we had some prior experience with him and his crew.For this current work, we requested an estimate thru his web site. He called the next day to arrange to come out and look over the work. When he was on site, he discussed what we wanted done and then e-mailed us his estimate in a day. He gave us a 2 day window for the work and came out on the first day with his crew to do the trimming and removal. Ryan was on site with a crew of 4. They did all of the work quickly and carefully. When they were done with the work they thoroughly cleaned up the area. The stump grinding was done by a different crew a few days later. We were particularly impressed with the stump grinding crew. They put a tent over their work site and then removed all of the grinding debris when completed. Ryan and his crews did an excellent job and we would recommend him to anyone in need of tree trimming/removal services.

I had considered taking down the tree myself but (with very strong encouragement from my wife) decided that it would be prudent to hire a professional. I was interested in receiving quotes on several different levels of service (i.e. what would it cost just to get the tree safely on the ground, brush removal, stump removal, etc.). Ryan was extremely personable and very open and willing to talk through several different service options (which was not the case with other people we talked to). This was very important to me because I wanted to be able to decide how much work I wanted to do on my own to save some money. He also talked me through how exactly he would take down the tree, which made me very comfortable with his expertise, honesty, and transparency. We received bids from several different companies and Ryan's bid was on par with one other company and lower than another. It was an very easy decision to go with Ryan because of the time he took to walk me through the process and different options available. Ryan took the tree down two weeks later. Ryan and his team did a great job of cleaning up the yard and left a neat stack of wood exactly where I asked. Overall we were extremely pleased and would highly recommend Ryan's Tree Care to others!

Ryan provided a timely estimate and spent time walking through the project with us and offering good suggestions. The crew showed up on the day promised and completed the entire job, including stump grinding, that day. They helped keep the entire project on schedule by working with our available dates. They were extremely polite and clean. The debris was almost picked up as it hit the ground. They removed two trees that required climbing, cutting and lowering with ropes between live power lines. They did an excellent job. I would highly recommend them.

When Ryan first came out to give the bid on the work he arrived on time, was friendly, and answered all of my questions. On the day of the tree removal they arrived right on schedule and got right to work. Again all questions I had were answered, the tree was removed, the vine roots were removed and the yard was left in great shape.

Fast service. Nice guys. Left the area spotless. I will always use Ryan Tree Care for all of our tree work. Really impressive!

Ryan did an estimate about a month before the job. We waited for my garden to die down since the tree was in the fenced backyard. He came on time and did a great job. The tree was very close to the house and fence and had to be cut by hand and dragged out. The silver maple was also close to the fence and house. Trimming to raise the canopy went well and the tree has never looked better. The crew was done in less than 2 hours. and left no mess or damage. I also had the ash tree stump ground by another guy a couple of days after. Once again - he came within expected time and did a beautiful job with no mess. I will do business with Ryan again - he is professional and really knows trees. I would recommend him to anyone looking for a fair price and a knowledgeable crew.

Wow, I'm impressed! You can tell that Ryan Cox and his team have indeed been working together for many years. A happy, well-balanced group. They instinctively know where to prune and how much, but will always ask just to be sure. We had half a dozen trees of various widths removed and lots of trimming. These men are truly professionals; and they're fun to watch. They perform like a well oiled machine. Safety is of utmost concern with them. Take special notice of how they navigate up in the trees and handle their safety ropes. They tied off limbs and carefully lowered them to the ground after they were cut to prevent damage to our driveway. When they were done with the falling and trimming, they spent a long time cleaning up. They even cleaned the driveway of the house next door. Outstanding work! Highly recommend. Oh, and say "Hi!" to Ryan's dog Haddy. A real sweetheart! This survey form has a question "Hire again?" The choices are "Yes" and "No," but there should also be the choice of "Absolutely!!!"

I am SO impressed with Ryan's Tree Care and I have told many friends and neighbors about the reasonable prices and fantastic service I received. The trimming/pruning of my beautiful Maple tree was done so well that now, even strong winds pass through my tree without bending and stressing the branches, and there are no big gaps or obvious bare spots in the foliage. I decided to call Ryan's Tree Care after reading the fantastic reviews given by other Angie's List subscribers. Now I have joined the long list of their happy customers! Just three days after I called to discuss the small job I needed help with, Ryan arrived at my house while I was at work and left an estimate. I was pleasantly surprised by their estimate, so I scheduled the thinning/pruning of my Maple tree. It had not been pruned since it was planted 15 years ago because I was worried that it would be done improperly. But after watching my mature tree battle the high winds, I got worried that it would break, so I knew I had to take action before my tree was ruined. Ryan's team arrived promptly and worked quickly, despite the hot weather. I think my yard was cleaner after they left than when they arrived to start the job! I highly recommend Ryan's Tree Care for whatever size job you have. It may sound silly to say that they respect trees, but it's the best way to describe the approach of these true professionals.
