They gave us much more than we expected for the jewelry. On some items, they even recommended a competitor who could give us more than they could. We were impressed by their competance, their honesty, and their manner. We highly recommend them.

In June I had surgery and the doctor had to cut off my wedding ring. Monique did a fantastic job of attaching the ring and made it look better than new. The price was less than I was originally quoted. This was a great experience and I would highly recommend Monique. She is very customer focused.

My husband and I arrived at the location specified on Angie's list and found the store to be closed. We then called the phone number listed and discovered the store had relocated and, although not yet open for business, we were welcomed to come immediately to the new location and take a look at the options available. We spent quite some time talking with Monique and finding some options that she and we felt would be possible choices. Monique is a lovely woman and we enjoyed the time with her as she guided us to a ring that has ended up to be the 'perfect choice'. Through her efforts to get to know us a bit, and our style and size preferences, she was very much able to discern and to show us options that were all considerations for us. Although the ring did not arrive as quickly as we were led to believe it would arrive, it all was done in a very timely manner. Much of the delay was due to the confusion of a store not yet opened and we are completely amazed at the efficiency even during this time of chaos for the store. Unfortunately, we were heading out of town around the time the ring was actually ready to be picked up and we were offered that Monique would deliver it to us. This ended up not working out as planned, however, we did get the ring as soon as we returned and have been enjoying it ever since! It is now getting to the timing of when Monique recommended that we have the settings of the ring assessed ( every 6 months ) and we look forward seeing Monique and the treasures she has in her beautiful new store. The only thing that we haven't yet received is the written appraisal for the ring - we will need to call and pick that up when we head in to have the ring checked out. We definitely will return to Monique's of Switzerland Jewelry for future purchases and encourage anyone who is in the market to purchase jewelry to make a point of heading to Wayzata to see for yourself why Monique makes the entire process a terrific experience. My husband also had several rings that were too large on his fingers that he left for Monique to have made smaller. All this was done in a timely manner and to his extreme satisfaction.

I am extremely disappointed with my experience. After reading a few wonderful reviews I decided to go with Monique?s. My wife lost one of her earrings. Earrings are more sentimental to us than anything special from the price or design standpoint. I promised my wife to recreate the lost earring. My experience started with a phone call where Monique told me that she is in the process of moving and would like to get back to me sometime next week. I gave her my info but never received a call. I followed up in about two weeks. She apologize for misunderstanding stating that she was expecting me to contact her. Made an appointment to see her at her new Wayzata office. She took the job, quoting me a stable price for the stone and $50 to $90 for the gold setting, stating that this will depend on what the gold price will be when setting is made. She asked me when I want this done and offered to complete the project in a week. I told her 2 weeks (from 8/11) are fine since we?ll be out of town. This is where the fun begins. In 2 weeks there was no phone calls, so I called back 2.5 weeks later. Monique stated that she needs to find out where her son is with the diamond and promised a call back. There was no callback so I dialed back a few days later. To tell you the truth I can?t recall what was the excuse this time. When I called 3rd time on 8/31, she told me that son had a family emergency and? she?ll call me back. Needles to say there was no call back. Today, 9/08, I dialed the number and listened to the message that the number is no longer in service. Went to the website in hopes to find a new number but old number was listed. I will try e-mail address listed on website as this is my only hope to get wife?s earrings back one of these days. I will update my report on quality of work when/if I will get earrings back. _______________________________________________ Update: After reviewing Monique's response about approximately a month later I feel obligated to state that I found another phone number listed here on Angie's list. I contacted Monique and she stated that earrings were ready for a pick up. The job was done to my expectations and wife loves the end product. While I had less then ideal experience I must say that I am flattered by the offer to return the money spent. Being a customer service professional I must say that Monique's response means a lot and situation is well handled. Most important thing there was no arguing but admittance of the poor experience provided due to special circumstances. This type of response grants them a second chance to perhaps see me as their customer in the future. While refund offer is greatly appreciated I am declining it. Despite less then perfect customer service experience and delay Monique delivered the product of exceptional quality.

My wife had to arrange to get her gift, drive over and pick it up. They were very accomodating and had things ready to go for her.

Monique advertised this special as an Angie's List Big Deal. Before purchasing, I emailed her some questions late in the evening, and she replied very quickly with details and pictures. I went ahead and purchased the package and picked it up at the store with my wife. The store is small but nice, off the beaten path in a Bloomington office tower. Monique was friendly and helpful, and the pearls look nice given the very low price. We're happy with the purchase.

I called Monique and told her that I was looking for an engagement ring. From my mediocre description she was able to show some fabulous rings that closely matched what I was looking for. Monique has a wonderful, mid sized shop that has just enough inventory. You'll receive personal service and great attention to detail.

I found a few examples online to get a gauge on the price range. I went to see Monique based on other reviews in Angies list. She was very thorough and worked with me to design exactly what I wanted. Then she went shopping for the stones and acquired perfectly matching emeralds and diamonds. She rushed the process (including having her son drop the ring off with me) so I could give the ring to my wife on Christmas Eve. Also the price was at least 25% less than similar rings online. My wife absolutely loves the ring. Monique warned me emeralds are much softer than diamonds. Somehow, my wife cracked one of the emeralds a month and a half after we bought the ring (sorry this post is late). I took it to Monique, she went and got another emerlad that matched the other (colors vary a lot with emeralds) and fixed it at no charge. I picked it up on Valentines Day and Monique threw in a dozen roses. This was more than generous. Wow!

I wanted to buy a cross for my grandson's confirmation and Christmas present. I had been looking with no luck for some time for a large plain cross. My grandson is 6'3" tall and weighs over 300 lbs so a dainty little cross just would not work. When I received the "Big Deal" notice from Angie's list from Monique's I decided to contact her to see if perhaps she could help me. I visited her shop in late November. We looked through three large catelogues and I still did not like anything that was available to order. Monique then offered to custom design what I described to her. She sketched it out and described the process. I decided that was the only way I could get exactly what I had in mind. She then helped me select the chain. Monique suggested that since the cross was large that the chain could pass through a hole in the top of the cross and eliminate the link that is normally attached to a pendant to allow it to hang on a chain. I thought the idea was brilliant. Instead of the rope chain I thought I wanted, she suggested a wheat chain that was smooth and would allow the cross to slide easily. I agreed. Monique then set about calling her experts and having the cross created. At each step in the process she was in contact with me. We were in complete agreement on each detail. Finally it was finished and there was only the engraving to be done on the back. Again it was sent to an expert. I asked for the engraving to say "To Alex, from Gramma Sue, Christmas 2010. The engraver "made a mistake" and put on the back of the cross "To Alex, Love, Gramma Sue, Christmas 2010. What a perfect "mistake". That is actually what I meant to put on the cross but went brain dead when Monique asked me to write down the engraving message. Again, her experts came through. My grandson found the cross on Christmas morning in the toe of a new pair of slippers. He put it on and hasn't taken it off yet. Monique hit a home run that went right out of the park.

After looking at a number of jewelers in the area, I finally settled on Moniques. The combination of her pricing (very reasonable) and her non-pushy sales style really made what can be a stressful experience quite enjoyable. She was very patient and always willing to answer questions throughout the whole process. In the end I ended up with a beautiful stone and a very unique ring for our engagement. If you are looking for a unique band (or even a regular one) I would definitely stop by and take a look. The location can be difficult to find so you may want to either ask someone or call her.

After trying to find a good jeweler to take our engagement ring and wedding bands design ideas, we selected Monique. Her son works for a diamond wholesaler, and she's able to get the cut, color and clarity diamond you want for a more reasonable price. She worked hard to develop and design a set of unique rings for us, meeting us at off hours, and adjusting the rings and design all through the design and manufacture process. She is very accommodating, knows her business, and has years of working with many clients and manufacturers. We were so very pleased with her standards of quality and her willingness to work with us. Be aware: it takes time to do something that is not off the shelf, but we felt it was worth it!

Overall, the experience was good. I found an engagement ring setting I absolutely loved at jewelry store, but we could not afford the ring there. I discovered the setting was made by an outside designer and Monique is a retailer for that designer. This is how I found her, otherwise I would never have known she existed. We ended up selecting a different setting from the same designer. Monique provided several diamond options for us to choose from. The engagement ring and my husband's band turned out perfect. My wedding band came back very small, but Monique re-sized it for me before the wedding. We had some complications with communication because her voicemail box was typically full when we called her. But overall, we enjoyed the experience. No pressure from her side which was nice. Monique threw in a chain, a pendant and a necklace for me in the end.

The ring is beautiful and high quality. The price is quite reasonable as we have checked around. The warranty looks to be quite good as well and includes cleaning, polishing, maintenance checks and such. They also do custom work and repairs. We are considering a custom men's band as well.
