Brian came highly recommended by a friend who has used his services for many years. We couldn't possibly have been more pleased with the work he did for us. He came out in January to give us an estimate the very same day we called. He returned in March to paint our living room, diningroom, kitchen, entry hall, and stairwell. Then he and an assistant came back in July to do the entire exterior. Brian is extremely easy to work with, very friendly, respectful, and meticulous. He is punctual, works diligently, and cleans up thoroughly each day. The end results are perfect. If there were a gold standard for painters, Brian would be it!

Brian Dalbec was referred to me by a neighbor. He was quick to return my calls about a small exterior painting job and larger deck and fence staining work. Despite a busy fall, he fit my job into his schedule. The work and communication were excellent. Brian and his crew were thorough, timely and went above and beyond to match a previously stained portion of my fence. He did extra coats on two older railing sections at no additional charge. Very happy with the work!

This was our second time hiring Brian (we've since hired him a 3rd) and the results were just great. I am a very fussy customer but Brian takes great pride in his work and does excellent work! The walls looked great - crisp lines at the ceiling and no paint on the trim. The ceilings are nice & smooth as we requested...no more popcorn! Flat ceilings (like they used in the old days) really look the best but they take a lot work, which is why popcorn is cheaper/easier. He typically uses Hirschfield's paint, but didn't bat an eye when I requested Sherwin-Williams. He is prompt - arrived right on time each day, respectful - didn't leave messes for us to clean up, everything was vacuumed when the job was done and courteous - he's a professional tradesman and communicates effectively. The bid was very clear, no surprises and he told us when he arrived each day what he was going to be working on and hoped to accomplish. There was dust involved from sanding & scraping the ceilings, a little more than we anticipated, but Brian was very accommodating and after mentioning it to him spent extra time vacuuming to make certain we were happy. The project took less time than he estimated as we moved most of the furniture out of the bedrooms. Brian was happily going to do this for us but some of it needed to be disassembled, etc and we thought it was our responsibility to do so. He actually reduced labor from the final price because we saved him some work...by the way, he's an honest guy! I would not hesitate to hire Brian again!

I procrastinated all summer about getting someone to paint the wood trim and cement block foundation of my house so I only got one estimate -- I liked Brian very much and he was sure he could get the job done yet this season so I just went with him. (That's why I didn't grade the price -- I'm not sure). They did a super job -- the house is 60+ years old and some of the woodwork was in worse shape than he expected -- he tried a new product he'd heard about to stabilize the wood and took great care in applying it, caulking where needed and put more than one coat of primer in spots. The house looks great and the guys were great to deal with.

We wanted our entire house interior painted. We contacted several painters and most were already booked throughout the summer on outside painting work. We settled on Dalbec for a few reasons. Brian came to give an estimate and worked wonderfully with us. He not only listened to our requests but also made some really good suggestions as to color combinations. Although fully booked he put us on his schedule for fill in work on rainy days. Luckily it rained enough that he was able to get the job done in a reasonable time frame. His bid was not the lowest we received but also not the highest (more toward the low end). While on the job he worked steadily throughout the day. He and his part time helper moved furniture. Patched up walls where needed. Went over spots that needed more attention until they were perfect. Cleaned up perfectly at day's end. Not a drop of paint had to be cleaned after the job was done. On top of it all, Brian is an extremely personable young man. If I ever have need of a painter in the future I will not even get estimates from others - I will call Brian at Dalbec Painting. I do not give out compliments lightly - they have to be earned and Brian has earned this.
