When I called the company after purchasing the services on groupon, I was told services were being scheduled two weeks out. I set up my cleaning for a thursday afternoon two weeks from the date of the call. When the date of the service came, I recieved a call from the cleaner saying they were running behind and wouldn't be able to come to my house today, and would need to reschedule. I was dissapointed, as I had planned to have company over and was expecting my house to be cleaned. I resceduled for that Saturday in the morning. When saturday came and went with a "no call, no show" I was more than dissapointed, I was angry. I called the company's office and asked what was going on first thing monday morning. the woman on the phone said the team that was scheduled to come clean my home had quit over the weekend. She appoligized and offered my and extra hour of cleaning. I accepted and she scheduled me for the cleaning another two weeks later on a thursday. This was Thursday March 7th which happened to be my birthday. This time the cleaners arrived. However..... When I came home from work, the first thing I noticed was that the floor had dried salt water puddles in several areas. the bathroom sinks and counters had been skipped over as there was still hair stubbles from when my husband shaved a few days before on and around the sink fixture. The bathroom rugs were not shaken or vacumed. No beds were made, which is a service they claim to provide, not extra. In all rooms dusting was missed...I could see without touching with my hand a thick layer of dust on dressers, shelves, electronics, lamps. Small area rugs were not picked up and swept or mopped under, especially in the entryway. The mirrors in my daughters room were clearly missed. I had picked up and cleared all clutter from every room so there was nothing in the way for the cleaners and no abundance of knick knacks or things to dust, so how things were so obviously skipped over was a sure sign of a rushed, "half-assed" job. I took pictures of the house, and called the company. I didn't reach anyone so I left a message to have them return my call. I recieved a call back the next day. The woman I spoke to told me the crew that came to clean my house had never had a complaint and she didn't understand how I was unhappy with their services. I told the woman the things that were missed and the woman cut me off and said I would need to wait for a call from the cleaning crew that cleaned my house and tell them my complaint. She was very rude in tone and extremly unprofessional. she said what do you expect, that we are going to come clean your entire house again, give you your money back, you bought a groupon! Then she hung up! I was horrified and appalled by the phone call. Then an hour later one of the cleaning crew members called and started arguing with me about what I said she didn't do as far as services go. She was just as rude and unprofessional as the lady in the office. I asked to speak to the owner and they both said their was no one for me to talk to. They said in a snotty tone, "I guess we will have to find time in the schedule to come and fix these things we soppossedly missed." Honestly I don't want them back in my house ever again. I wasted my money with this so called "professional cleaning company" and hope that this review helps so nobody else has to either.

Horrible experience... and I didn't even have them clean our home. I had one phone call with the owner, Cheryl Barnes, which is enough to for me to know that this is not a company that I will EVER do business with at all... EVER! I bought a Groupon as a gift for my wife to have our house cleaned. The Groupon indicated that it was for two hours of cleaning, which was valued at $180. The Miracle Maids website advertises that, they clean "Homes Up to 1,501-2,500 Square Feet ($179)" with a long list of items that are included in their cleaning services. Since my home is well within this range, I thought this might be a nice surprise for my wife at x-mas, so I brought the Groupon. Now that the holidays are over, my wife wanted to set up the cleaning. Searching the internet for the Miracle Maids phone number to schedule the cleaning service, I ran into several reviews on Yelp and Angie's List, which unfortunately I joined after purchasing the Groupon, that were very concerning about the level of quality and professionalism of Miracle Maids. Being concerned, my wife called and left a message for Cheryl Barnes to call to address these concerns with us. Unfortunately, I was the one that took the returned call and had to deal with Ms. Barnes. In an extremely combative and unprofessional manner, Ms. Barnes indicated that was purchased is what it is... 2 hrs of cleaning. She blamed Groupon for falsely indicating that the 2hrs of cleaning has a $180 value. She was not in the mood to listen to any concerns and was very defensive and unprofessional. She indicated that there was no way that I will be satisfied, so I need to request a refund from Groupon. You have to like who you do business with and feel like they appreciate your business... which in no way was what I was left feeling. Next call is to Groupon.

I signed up for 4 hours of cleaning. I requested to have the service performed in the morning but within a few days I received a voice mail that they had a schedule change and would need to switch my appointment to the afternoon. I did not call back to confirm what time I should expect them in the afternoon (my bad, I made an assumption that 4 hours service would begin at Noon or so to make sure they were done at a decent time around 4pm). When Noon came and went I finally made a call to the office around 1pm but had to leave a voice mail. I called several times after that and did not reach anyone. At 3:15 the cleaners showed up - there was 2 of them and they said they would be here 2 hours (hence the 4 hour cleaning). Well, I ended up having to send my family out for dinner so they wouldn't be in the way while I continued to work in my home office while they cleaned. They finished in an hour and a half. They did not do all of the things that the website listed as standard cleaning service, they did do the floors, the vacuuming, microwave and counters. They did a so-so job on both bathrooms, actually, they didnt do the shower doors inside or outside and they didnt do the fixtures in the shower stalls. They didnt dust anything in the family room or the dining room. My husband and I do a much better job cleaning ourselves and I was very disappointed. If I am going to continue to pay for cleaning service I expect to be "wowed" by the work done. Instead of saying "Wow, they cleaned better than us/me" I found that we were saying "we clean much better than that and we still have to do more cleaning to cover what they missed. I will say that they were very nice people, polite when they were at my house. But they either rushed through it because they were there so late or that is the type of work they perform and they aren't expected to do any better than that. Hard to know for sure and I won't give it another shot to find out. I may try another service but not so sure. This was my first time using a service and I have to say that the stress of wondering when or if they were going to show up doesn't seem worth it and the job they did when they were there definitely wasn't worth the money....

I purchased a Star Tribune deal for a house cleaning for up to 2500 sq ft. I did spend more to cover the larger area even though my house isn't quite this big. When I wanted to schedule the cleaning it took me a week of me calling to get a hold of some one to even schedule the appointment. Once the appointment was set I was told I had to give a credit card number up front for a trip charge. Then when I questioned this I was told rather rudely that it was in the fine print. I hesitantly paid the "trip charge" then was told they would be at my house between 9 and noon. That I would be the first appointment and they would be done by noon. I was also told they would only do 1 hour and 45 mins of work, not necessarily the up to 2500 sqft that was advertised. I should have cancelled the appointment then and there and asked for a refund. This was one of the most disappointing experiences I have had with a cleaning company. The team arrived late but they were extremely nice and polite. However, the cleaning was hit and miss. They cleaned out the catch tray on the toaster but left streaks on mirrors and did not move pictures sitting on a dresser to dust underneath. I showed them what was a "priority" as I was told to do by their office. So if they ran out of time they would do what I needed them to do. At the end of the time they finished only what was "priority" and left. One of them even stopped working and waited outside for the other to finish. When companies participate in groupons or deals like this you would think their goal would be building a clientele. This experience would not make me want to ever work with this company again, much less recommend it to anyone else.

They do excellent work, however they aren't very punctual. I will continue to use them.

Bad, Awful.... They charged me a $18 trip fee which was not told until I scheduled the house cleaning. Then 2 people came and said that they will work for 2 hours and that's it, whatever they can do they will do it. I mentioned that I paid extra for cleaning a 3500 sq ft house, they said sorry they were instructed not to spend more than 2 hours. I don't know of any cleaning service that can clean a 3500 sq ft house in 4 man hours. There was no mention of any time based reference in their promotional offer. The classic case of bait and switch. The job was shoddy, lack of attention to cleaning even the rooms they cleaned. Very poor service. Will never use them again even for free.Beware of Miracle Maid's policy, buyer beware

Overall excellent.

Two ladies came out on three separate occasions over a period of 1 1/2 months. The first cleaning was fair. The second cleaning was excellent. The third cleaning was fair. All three times they arrived late. The second visit they had to reschedule for the next day because after an hour and 15 minutes of not showing or calling, I called them. It was decided that they would come the next day instead. The next day, they arrived 20 minutes later than they said they would but they did arrive. I had the ladies do the same rooms during their second and third visit however, when they came out to clean the same rooms for the second time they finished in almost half the time as the previous visit so I kept coming up with more areas that needed cleaning. Since I was charged three to four days in advance for the services, I wanted to be sure I received the correct amount of cleaning time for the service that was prepaid. I did not like the fact that all services had to be paid for with my credit card and that my card was charged in advance before the services were even performed. I asked to receive some sort of receipt and was told I can find the charges on the monthly statement of my charge card. In addition, the cleaning ladies tried to leave early by telling me they had a schedule to follow. Since they had arrived late to begin with they did not seem to think they should stay the agreed upon time. I reminded them that they had arrived late, got started late and that I had paid for two hours and planned on keeping them for that agreed upon time. They were polite about accommodating my request for the two hour cleaning I had paid for. The charges to my charge card were inconsistent with what I expected they would be. An extra $10 trip charge was billed for each trip to my house. I was billed for more hours than I had agreed to for the second visit and would not have known unless I had checked the pending charges on my charge card. During the first visit, charges reflected fees for services that amounted to 40 minutes more than the time they were at my house. All inconsistent charges were rectified. The cleaning girls were respectful. I will look for a cleaning service that does not charge for services until the day they are performed.
