First he came to mud the wall with slow-dry mud. He said he would be back later that day or maybe the next day to apply a final application of quick dry touch-up mud and paint, but the he would call me to let me know when and to schedule the time. Two days went by and he never called.Several days later, I finally set up a time with him to finish the work. I took the morning off of work at the appointed time as he said he would arrive at 7 am sharp to finsih the mud and paint. He showed up at 7am, mudded for 5 mins and said his painter wouldn't be able to come til later that day, and left. This was problematic because I had only arranged to be away from work for the early part of the morning. My wife stayed home from work to wait for the painter. When I came home from work, the painting was not done to an acceptable level. The trim areas near corner wall joints, ceiling joints and the door frames was visible lighter and a different texture than the rest of the open spaces of the painted drywall. The main contractor came out to look and agreed. The main contractor scheduled him to come again the following Monday morning at 7am with 7:30 being the latest to show as I had once again arranged to take off the early part of the mornign from work but I couldn't be out til lunch. Mark, from Contruction Systems Minnesota, never showed. The main contractor called an apologized and scheduled the same time (show up at 7am but no later than 7:30) the immediate ensuing Wed. He showed up at ten minutes til 8am. When I answere the door, I asked him what happened to him showing up at 7am but not later than 7:30a and he stumbled and hemmed and hawwed trying to come up with a response and while looking sheepishly down at the ground and sideways away from me bumbled out that he "had been in a lot pain," and then looked up waved his hand in the air and said, "Get someone else to do this job." He turned, got in his van and drove away, while yelling something out of his open drivers side window. He is completely unprofessional.
Description of Work: I had some damage covered by insurance to my basement bathroom. My insurance company contracted a company to perform the repair work. This contractor sub-contracted some drywall mudding and painting in the bathroom to Construction Systems Minnesorta, LLC (aka Mark Sudheimer). I am not sure how much he was paid for this job as he was a sub-contractor of a main contrator that was referred to me by my insurance company. Any and all fees/costs would have been discussed directly between my main contractor and and him without me involved.

We had never done this kind of service before, and we trusted him when he said it would not damage the surrounding area our yard. He salted our roof and said that this is how you get rid of ice dams. He knocked off shingles at the time of service, and he said he would come back in the spring to repair those. Now that the ice is gone, I can see the damage to our retaining wall from the walkout basement. At the part where the hill starts, we have 2 retaining walls that go up to the house. There is rock and then a deck. All along the line of the back of the house the retaining wall has disintegrated. The salt he put down has severly damaged the logs under the roof line. There's probably at least $300-$400 just in materials to fix this. I called him Monday and he said he would call me back to make a plan to come look at the damage. He never called, so I called again this morning (Wednesday) and left a message.
Description of Work: He came out this winter for ice dam removal.
