This was not an easy repair. The door assembly on my Kitchen Aid model was difficult to remove, as was the old handle. Tim didn't give up! He helped give an old appliance a little more life.

Steve was the technician. Fabulous! He diagnosed the problem, outlined what would be needed to fix it. Turned out it was more than buying a new washer. Gave me recommendations for brands that were reliable. This was the best repair experience I have ever had. Would use Watson’s again in a heartbeat especially if they sent Steve!

It went well for refrig, but part for oven was flawed. We were not charged for defective part or labor.; new part was ordered. Todd was very thorough. Had he not checked all oven functions before he left, he would not have discovered the defective part. I appreciated his effort, honesty and skill!

Had an awful experience with Watkins today. When I called I was given a 3 hour appointment window, from 3-6 pm. I explained that I had to pick up my children from camp and summer care around 4 and was assured that would not be a problem since I would receive a phone call approximately 20 minutes ahead of the technician arriving. I even set up back up pick up options - just in case. With no call from Watkins, I went to pick up my kids and was gone around 20 minutes. When I called Watkins at around 5:20 to inquire about the technicians arrival I was told someone did stop by and there should be a note on our door. When I asked about why I didn't receive a phone call, I was told someone did call and even left a message. I reviewed my phone but have no missed calls or messages. When I asked about the call I was given no additional information on when it was placed or what number was called but instead was told this was my fault because I left my home during my appointment window. I explained that I would not have left if I had received a call. I admit I left - that's not in question, but would not have done so if Watkins had done their part and called like they committed to doing. This is unacceptable.

Oven was taking much longer to preheat and dryer would only stay hot for half of dry cycle. Brent arrived slightly after the appointment window due to a job on the other side of town, but was very friendly, professional and knowledgeable. He identified the problems quickly and explained the needed repairs clearly. After asking for approval, he completed the repairs quickly with OEM parts he had in the truck. I would definitely use Watson's Appliance again.

Recently needed my dishwasher repaired. Was originally informed that the part was no longer available and that I would need to replace the entire unit. I called back and spoke with main service tech, Brent, who found the part I needed in their supply of discontinued (but new) parts for older machines. He promptly came and replaced it. Was courteous, efficient, and apologetic that I was misinformed. Lesson: when in doubt, talk to someone else further up the ladder and ask them to check their stockroom for old parts! Watson's has been servicing my appliances for years and I've always been happy with their service. Highly recommend.

I called first thing in the morning and got a service window in the afternoon of that day. Then the technician called to see if he could come earlier. He was at my house in ten minutes. He diagnosed the issue in about 15 minutes. They had the part in their shop so he picked it up and had it installed in about 20 minutes. Refrigerator has been working perfectly since it was repaired.

I had issues with the price, skill of the technician and service manager. On the day of the appointment the technician called and asked if he could come early because he lived nearby. I adjusted my schedule to accommodate him. He had a hard time diagnosing the problem, asked me if I had the schematic for the microwave. After looking for it I pointed out to him it was glued to the inside of the cover. He had a difficult time determining the issue and finally found a burned spot on a board. The microwave had to be taken down to be diagnosed. I told him he could leave it down to save time when he came back. Unfortunately they wanted to charge me a full removal and replacement because they use a flat rate based on the part being replaced. When they called to schedule the appointment I asked to speak with the service manager to see if they could work with me on the rate. She called and said she had never been on a service call, gave me the flat rate story and said there was nothing she could do. I don't have any confidence in them for repairing appliances when the service manager doesn't have any knowledge about what services are being performed.

After a power outage, my refrigerator stopped working. It did not cool anymore and the bottom freezer wasn't working either. I called Watson's and 2 days later they showed up (I didn't say it was an emergency because I had a back up fridge that was keeping everything safe). The technician, Cory, came within the time frame requested, and not more than 30 seconds in the door he had the problem diagnosed. Apparently it was a very common problem (relay was bad), and fortunately he had a replacement in the truck. It took him about 15 minutes to replace the part and he also fixed a couple of other minor things on the unit. Cory demonstrated that he was very knowledgeable and courteous and was great with my dogs. I would definitely call them again for any of my appliances.

Our dryer stopped producing heat, and the Watson's repair person replaced a part and got it working very quickly. There was also a loud squealing in the dryer and he quickly fixed that as well with a new part. He was prompt, nice and professional. Very happy with the service. (I do not know the actual price because it was covered through the HomeSmart plus plan on Xcel.)

This company did not respond to the Angie's List online appointment request. We had to call them. Everything about the service call, itself, was fine until the end of the appointment when the repair man refused to put the back cover back onto the refrigerator. We had taken the cover off when the fridge originally stopped working and didn't replace it as we assumed the repair man would need to have it off. He said they and quot;have a policyand quot; that if the customer has done something (such as taking off the back cover), the repair man will not put it back on. It was only after my husband explained that he thought putting the cover back on was part of completing the job and questioned whether or not the company was concerned with offering high quality service that the repair man begrudgingly replaced the cover. It was unfortunate to end the service call on a bad note, as the rest of the service was fine.

Response from Watson's Appliance Parts & Service
I am sorry to say that we did not receive the message the customer sent requesting service until after the customer called us directly for service. On behalf of Watson's Appliance, I'd like to apologize to our customer for having less than satisfactory repair experience. I would like to explain. Upon the arrival to the customer's home, I quickly diagnosed the refrigerator as having a faulty freezer fan motor, in which I had to order the parts in order for the repair to be complete. After receiving the part, a return visit was scheduled and we arrived at the promised time. When I walked into the customers' kitchen I saw that they had already pulled the refrigerator from the wall and had the rear access panel removed. I assumed that the customer was in process of cleaning behind the refrigerator and did not question. I performed the repair of the freezer fan motor which is repaired from the front and informed the customer their refrigerator was fixed. The customer then proceeded to rummage for the rear access panel and the screws and asked "Aren't you going to put this on?" I responded "Sometimes when I see a customer that takes things apart its because they were in the process of cleaning, so putting it back together I would actually be doing a disservice for the customer." It was not a problem, it only took a couple seconds to install the back access panel. In conclusion, I hope this response clarifies any misunderstanding to our post, and as always,we are here only to service our customers by delivering the very best that we can.

I called Watson's today and they sent out a technician, Cory, within the hour to fix my washing machine. They charge a flat fee $89 for a house call. Parts and labor are in addition to this amount. Once I made the appointment, they called to let me know when a technician was on his way. It took him a while to diagnose a broken water pump on my machine since he usually doesn't see these. Cory definitely knew what he was doing and had my machine apart within minutes. He tried a number of fixes, but confirmed that it was the water pump. He was very pleasant to deal with. My dear husband tried fixing it the night before and broke the lid switch, so that was also included in the repair cost ($50). I can't complain because my husband just finished fixing the dish washer when the washing machine broke. Cory gave me his business card with a $25 coupon off labor for future house calls. Although expensive, I was very pleased with the service and will return.

I called to inquire about the cost of diagnosing a problem with my washing machine. They quoted me $89.00 to send someone out to determine the problem. I was told that this fee does not get applied to the repair in the event that we decide to have the machine fixed. $89 is pretty steep, plus they were booked all the way out until Friday (today is Monday). I went with another provider who can make it out tomorrow afternoon and only charged me $73.00.
