St Croix Plumbing & Drain Cleaning

Initially came to change two laundry tub valves, but then discovered that the main water shut off valve was faulty too. He went to get the appropriate valve then changed it for me.

It went really well. Todd did a great job explaining what was going to happen, and approximate price. There was actually a stud right behind the faucet that made it very difficult to work around, so there's a fairly large hole in the wall, which we covered with an old cabinet door. The install was faster than I expected. Todd is great to work with, and we plan to contact him in the future for other projects.

I contacted then on a weekend - left a message and got a call back within 15 minutes to set up the install. They were able to schedule within a couple days and had great communication leading up to the install appointment, confirming arrival etc. Installation was quick and efficient and they did a nice job of cleaning up afterwards. Professional and courteous. Price was as agreed, though they did an additional bit of work for a nominal fee to resolve a leaky valve on the water line leading to our ice maker.

Service was performed just like clockwork. I was very impressed with the sophistication of his use of text messages to communicate. Very 21st century approach to running his business.

Todd arrived at the time he had given me. He promptly set to repair the toilet then pointed out to me that the shut-off for the toilet was also leaking so I asked him to replace it. When he removed the toilet, he discovered the flange was cracked. He took care of that problem. When he went downstairs to shut off the main water supply, he discovered it would not work probably due to the age of the knobs. He put new valves on and took care of that problem. He showed me everything he had done and that all was working properly. All areas were cleaned up before he left. We were very pleased with Todd's work.

Went well except for the large hole that was cut out to access the pipes. Was told I could purchase an access door at local home improvement store, however, the whole cut out was way to big. The improvement stores locally didn't have a panel that large so I had to special order one via amazon.com. Was kind of a hassle, but oh well... It's done and over !!

Absolutely superb. St Croix Plumbing's service provider was Todd, who is one of the hardest working, most competent, most professional service providers I have ever hired. He came in, assessed the situation, estimated the cost which I approved, made a trip to obtain parts and supplies, returned, and finished the job in less time than I expected. The overall job took roughly 5 hours including the trip for supplies. I am convinced that most plumbers would have need considerably more time. He worked both hard and smart. Nothing had to be done over. The price seemed high but as I reflected on the scope of the project I believe I received good value. Another plumber might have charged a lower hourly rate but more for the project because it would have taken longer. I will hire St. Croix Plumbing again the next time I need plumbing service and I'll ask for Todd. The sink has worked flawlessly (no leaks, no backups) since installed six months ago.

After having our kitchen updated, we needed to have some plumbing done to complete the project. Having hired Todd and St. Croix Plumbing in the past, I knew he would be up to the task. Todd listened to our objectives, and made some recommendations that were extremely helpful. His attention to detail and quality of work always makes St. Croix Plumbing & Drain Cleaning our first call for anything plumbing related, and we have never been disappointed. It's good to have a plumber you can trust, and we highly recommend them for any plumbing needs.

We hired St. Croix because of the good reviews on Angie's List. Without our knowledge, our job was subcontracted out. The subcontractor did good work but arrived late for the first visit (without his camera) and had to reschedule the second visit because his camera was still in the shop. We were charged for two visits when the work probably should have been completed in one, affecting the overall cost.

I can't say enough good things about my experience with this company. I had left them a message during the week and the owner, Todd, took the time to return my call over the weekend. I was able to schedule the appointment for just a few days out. Todd arrived right on time and did the work himself. I had explained to him over the phone what work I needed done and he had all of the necessary materials to complete it. He was extremely professional and very personable as well. The work was completed in about 30 minutes for what I thought was a reasonable rate. He showed me exactly what he had done and walked me through the invoice line by line, even remembering that I had mentioned finding them on Angie's list and automatically giving me the discount. I would definitely hire them again, and would strongly recommend their services.

We initially set up an appointment for a specific time a week out from the appointment. On the day of the appointment we were called and told that they decided to take emergency appointments and wouldn't be able to come do the work during our appointment. I was frustrated that they decided to move us back since I had taken work off to be home for the appointment. They eventually arrived 4 hours late and then wouldn't speak to us the whole time in the house. They were not professional. They decided not to charge us for the work, but seemed childish in their behavior towards us as customers.
