St Croix Plumbing & Drain Cleaning

Todd did a great job on my repairs and installation of new equipment. He was punctual, neat, friendly and competitively priced. His company will be in my "go to" list of contractors for plumbing repairs. I have already passed his name onto someone else who needs work performed.

Todd and his crew were outstanding in their professionalism and timeliness. He was able to do the job and complete it within minutes of our new washer/dryer arriving. Very personable and reasonable and the finished product looks outstanding! No more worries about water backing up onto our floor since it all drains into the main line now and not through the tub to the floor drain. Todd gave me a quote over the phone which was in line with the prices we saw online. He ordered the hot water heater I thought we needed, but when he came to deliver, we discovered I misread the tag on the old one and we didn't need as large a model as we thought. Todd saved us close to $600 by canceling the original order and calling the company and arranging for a smaller model. He also replaced some pipes and gas lines which weren't up to code and left the basement cleaner than when he came. We are planning a kitchen remodel next summer and plan to call him again!

They were good. They got the job done. I was not actually there. Someone else had to stand in for me, but they made it happen. That was all I cared about. Overall, it was a pretty good experience. I did hire them again.

Excellent and friendly service! There was an unexpected problem with draining the water out of the old heater. There was too much sediment. Todd took care of it in a timely and cost effective way!

Jason came over to the property exactly when he said he would, and gave me a couple of phone calls to let me know where he was prior to arriving (it was a Monday, and they get pretty busy!). The job was performed after hours, which was the soonest he could make it. He snaked the pipe, got the drain going, and gave me plenty of details on why it happened and what's going on with the pipe. Excellent attention to detail and great work ethic!

Todd is very professional and thorough. He did a very nice job with the faucet replacements and left the work areas extremely clean. He had to run out for a few additional parts, which incurred some additional charges. Overall, I was very satisfied with the work.

We had a leak in a pipe between the first and second floors of our 100 year old house. We contacted our home insurance company to have them send somebody for service, but we needed to wait ~3 days for service. After they authorized out-of-network services, we used Angie's List to find a plumber who could come on a Saturday afternoon. I called seven different providers to see if anybody would pick up without me having to leave a message. St. Croix Plumbing's Todd called me back after seeing our phone # in caller ID. Todd was at our house one hour after our initial conversation: exactly as promised during our initial conversation. Within four hours, a difficult job was completed with a minimum of alteration to our house. Todd was courteous, professional, and kept our house as clean as could be (given the circumstances). I would have no reservations about calling St. Croix Plumbing again, and would recommend them for any plumbing work.

We had a drain back up in our laundry room on the weekend. I called Monday morning, and they were scheduled pretty heavy for the day (kind of like doctors - should have figured). Jason ended up coming out in the evening, a little earlier than expected. He estimated a little higher than charged and more time; took care of the problem quickly and helped us understand what to do to prevent a repeat. Very professional and helpful. In a perfect (not realistic) world, they would have come 15 minutes after I called, but the service was still prompt and timely. We plan to call again to get some faucets replaced soon.

He was incredibly professional and thorough in his inspection, really trying to get to the root of the problem, however after much inspection of the water softener and hot water heater, we still couldn't find any reason there had been water leaking. That being said, he did give me a lot of good advice about the condition of my hot water heater! In the end, we found out it was our house humidifier that was leaking when turned on.

The main reason I contacted St Croix Plumbing was for a drip in the bathtub. I also had left the hose connected to the outside faucet last winter and ruined the faucet. The faucets in my laundry room were also difficult to turn off completely without dripping. Todd came out within a day or two of my initial phone call. He took a look at the three projects and determined that the outside faucet and laundry room faucet were repairable on that visit. He took care of them but needed to schedule another visit to take care of the bathtub drip. The builders of my house did not leave an access panel so he would need to create one. I needed to empty out a cabinet in my kitchen so he could work. I also need to purchase a faucet set to that I liked. When he came back, he was able to get into the cabinet to do the repair. He estimated that it could take a couple hours, as he needed to create the access hole to access the pipes. He finished in less time than he thought, which I appreciated. He left the work area very neat and clean. Shortly after he finished these projects, I had to call him back for 1 more project - replacing the bathtub drain. Todd came out the next day and took a look. He said it could take 2-4 hours depending on what the plumbing looked like once he enlarged the access hole to see under the tub for the drain. Again, I got lucky in that once he opened the wall further, it wasn't as bad as it could have and he finished in about 2 hours. He was careful when he enlarged the access hole so that we were able to have that part of the opening patched and we were left with a standard size access panel. I was very grateful at Todd's prompt service.

Very easy to deal with. Great service and willing to talk through what needed to be done, and additional work that might be necessary without undue pressure.
