Description of Work: 6 year old furnace had intermittent failures for heating. Even though it would not fail he found out what was wrong by using stored computer faults from log. Replaced mother board at no warranty charge and did a tune up for 100 dollars. Works great now. Also had a dryer delivered at same time and he was cool with the interruption as dryers were hauled through his work area.

Description of Work: Furnace went out at 10:30pm - tech came out and it was back up and running by midnight. Which was good because it was the coldest day of the year, so far. Great service and cost!

Description of Work: Replaced 30 year old air conditioner.Thouroughly explained different size units with features and benefits for a home my size. Did not try and upsale me, which I appreciated. Was able to start the replacement the next day, not two to three weeks out like their competitor. Very satisfied with the sales manager and with the technician. Would definitely use again.

The Schwantes guy was very professional and worked hard on what was a messy project. They came to provide a fall/winter cleanup for $80 but it turned into a several hour job. They didn't charge more for that; gotta love 'em. They installed this furnace a few years back, and we were pleased with them then. We're still pleased with them now!
Description of Work: Schwantes came out the same day of my call that my furnace was not working and fixed my furnace by cleaning it all out. We have radiators, and a gas furnace, and they did all the necessary maintenance. It was a mess for them, but it worked fine as soon as they were done.

The office (Stacy) and repairman (Aaron) were courteous and helpful. We were able to get same-day service. The technician was actually a few minutes early. He determined the problem, and did a temporary repair, so we would be cool until he could return later in the day with a replacement part. Cost seemed reasonable.
Description of Work: Trouble-shoot central air conditioning, that was not cooling. Set up temporary override, so that it would cool. Got replacement part and came back same day to finalize repair.

The worker, Aaron, had to make three trips to the local hardware store for parts. One time he brought along a Master Pipefitter from the company, and he could not figure it out. A one hour job took over three hours, and cost just as much as the grill. We chose this company based on the fact that we are new to Stillwater. The phone book said in business since 1947, and thought that was good enough. Guess not. Again, this job cost as much as the grill.
Description of Work: We purchased a natural gas grill. We needed it installed in a condo in Stillwater according to Fire Safety Codes of the city.

THE SALESMAN SCOTT RUDE WAS VERY WELL PREPARED AND INFORMED. HE GAVE US A FEW GOOD OPTIONS AND DID NOT PUSH ANYONE OF THEM. THE INSTALLER DAVE DID A VERY THOROUGH AND GREAT JOB. HE ALSO SPENT SUFFICIENT TIME GOING OVER THE UNIT AND GAVE US GREAT TIPS ON IMPROVING EFFICIENCY AND CIRCULATION.
Description of Work: REPLACEMENT OF A CENTRAL AC SYSTEM. REMOVED AN OLD CARRIER UNIT AND REPLACED IT WITH A 2.0 TON TRANE XL14I. ALSO REPLACED THE INDOOR COIL.

THERE WAS ONE PROBLEM WITH THE INSTALLATION, THEY CAME BACK AND FIXED IT, BUT I WAS A LITTLE DISAPPOINTED THAT THEY HAD TO COME BACK. OTHER THAN THAT THE WORK WAS COMPLETELY SATISFACTORY.
