Penguin Insulation

I requested estimates from quite a few insulation companies, but decided to go with Penguin on the recommendation of my contractor. I am so glad I did! The one-man crew, Romeo, was a master installer of closed-cell spray foam. He was timely, responsive to my questions, and extremely attentive to details and my requests. The insulation installation could not have gone any better. Excellent work, excellent value! I would highly recommend this company!

The one-man crew was great. He was right on-time and very professional and courteous. He sealed things off well, communicated about what he was up to, and cleaned up well. I'm very happy with the outcome. Good communication ahead of the project as well.

The workers were punctual, protected the floors and surfaces they were working on, were professional and friendly, completed the job in the time they had estimated.

Penguin was recommended by a neighbor. They responded quickly to our inquiry, arrived on time, completed the job as promised, and were good about cleaning up. This was blown-in insulation and they kept the mess to a bare minimum. We were particularly pleased this winter - no ice dams, not even an ice cycle, and the furnace is running much less frequently. Yeah, Penguin!

I had work with Dave Langness almost the whole summer just because I didn’t know what I was doing and understanding stuff about insulation and what they had to do. He was very patient with me. He came out and gave me an estimate and I still had many questions and basically go over everything again. He actually came out again to explain to me everything and show me where the vents would come out. I think he went above and beyond and go over everything. His guys did a great job and actually worked overtime into the early evening. I wanted to get the insulation because of the ice damage that I’ve had. The insulation hadn’t been added to in years and years. Since having a new insulation, so far, there’s been no signs yet of ice damage. I’m satisfied.

I was mildly concerned at first when our Friday appt. was rescheduled to the following Monday last minute due to staffing issues (sick/injured workers, etc.) and I wasn't given an estimated arrival time. However, the worker showed up Monday morning, was very courteous and respectful and got right to work. He did a great job installing all the closed cell but unfortunately, due to an equipment malfunction issue, he informed me he'd have to come back the following morning to do the closed cell after returning to the shop to perform repairs on the equipment that night as he didn't have the proper tools on him. I was a bit disappointed but appreciated that he explained the issue to me and told me it was preventing the proper mixture of chemicals and he didn't want to finish the job then because he wanted to make sure it was done just right. He returned promptly the next morning with another worker for help and they had the job finished before noon. They also cleaned up nicely afterwards, which I appreciated. My husband and I are very happy with the results! They did a fantastic job of filling every nook and cranny and the room now feels warmer than the rest of the house! My husband commented that they far exceeded his expectations. We will definitely hire Penguin again for our future remodel jobs.

Penguin Insulation were very good. I like how he worked well with the other contractors, because one guy had to put the floor back down so the insulation guy could do his work. I gave them each others numbers and told them that I expected them to be professional and work well together. They needed to, because the one needed to have the floor to stand on, but then some of the insulation also had to go under the floor. They both needed to work well together.

Gary was timely in arranging a visit and giving us a quote. He was very slow getting us references, which we had to request several times. The workers were prompt and did a good job of cleaning up. The final price came in below the quote. The jury is still out on whether or not they fixed our problems.

Penguin Insulation was very good, and I’d recommend them to others.

They arrived on time and filled the cavities with high quality closed cell foam.

This was a big job and went very smoothly. They were very responsive and did exactly what they bid at the cost that they bid. I had four bids for this job and they were definitely the best value. They provided a quality product along with excellent service. I would absolutely use them again and I would also recommend them to anyone who needs help with insulation. I graded quality at "B" only because they missed a little bit of the Vapor Barrier and had a couple of low spots after blowing the insulation. They were quick to respond and fixed these issues without any hesitation or complaint. This job was only part of a major 2 year renovation project and we had many contractors come through during the project. Of all the contractors we worked with, Penguin Insulation was the easiest to work with. They simply did what they said they would at the price they agreed to. They were flexible to our schedule and fixed everything that we asked them to fix. I wish all contractors operated the way these guys do...

Got their name on a referral. Everything went well. I had a slight issue with contacting the company to confirm the scheduled work time. Overall, though, a very good service.

It was an excellent experience. They were very conscientious and answered all my questions. They came here on time and cleaned up everything. They were just great.

They were great and we are discussing having them do an attic area for us as well. He was very thorough and made sure we were satisfied.

Did not choose this company primarily because we decided to go with another company that uses a certain type of insulation. Also, salesman was not very professional.
