Project was quite difficult in that besides installing a new fuse box and transfer switch, he had to drill through a cement wall to install the plug in outlet in the garage. He was very careful and made sure the new switch did in fact work when the generator was turned on.
Description of Work: Installed a new transfer switch for a generator so that we can have a hardwired electrical circuit in case of power outages.

The man who did the estimates arrived on time, checked what needed to be done and discussed a few options. He gave me some general estimates of the cost of the work and later sent a more detailed proposal. The man who did the work did not show up on time and when I called after waiting several hours, they said he would need to reschedule. Although he was late the next time he was supposed to arrive, too, he did show up on the next scheduled day. He did the work efficiently, explained some things as he went along and was very personable and did a pretty good job cleaning up. One problem that I encountered was that the estimator had told me we could use my current switches, but he never mentioned that using the current switches would mean that the heat lamp would come on whenever the light was turned on, summer and winter. I was not very happy about the idea of not having any control of the heat lamp. Adding a new switch meant another $100 and having someone come out with the switch. I decided to go ahead and change the switches in one of the bathrooms. I was also not very happy about where they wanted to put one of the heat lamps since you need to stand under the lamp to feel the heat. This involved some more negotiation. He installed the outdoor outlet and reprogrammed the bedroom ceiling fan so that it would work with the new remotes. Three days after the work was completed, the lamp in the exhaust fan went out. The electrician was supposed to come out to fix it the next day, but he did not show up. I was then told that he would call before he came out and that he would be out that week. He did not call or come out that week, but, after another call, he did come out the following week. A few days later, the light went out again. This time he did arrive on time and replaced the bulb with a bulb that was designed to take more vibration and I have not had trouble with it since then. I'm not sure my new exhaust fans are working correctly since the mirrors are staying fogged up when anyone takes a shower, but I don't really know how to tell whether they are working correctly or not. I am still annoyed that the first man to come out did not mention the problem with the heat lamp always coming on with the light and that they kept me waiting for them to arrive and to finish the work, but I am happy with the work they did.
Description of Work: I had new ceiling lights and exhaust fans placed in two bathrooms, including two heat lamps. I also had a new GFI outdoor electric outlet installed and new ceiling fan remotes set up in one bedroom.

Linner responded to my call right away. The electrician came to figure out what to do exactly as scheduled. The parts were ordered. Again, the electrician showed up exactly as scheduled to complete the work. Due to the non-standard nature of the work, the initial bid was quite high. The actual work was less complicated than bid and the final invoice was significantly less than the bid.
Description of Work: A customized wiring job to provide a way to hook up a generator.

I have no issue with the service provided. The quality of the work was good. My issue is the price. When I called to inquire about using their service I was told the hourly rate was $97 per hour. No other explanation was given. The electrician was in my home for slightly less than 2.5 hours (I was there) covering 2 trips. I expected the job to cost around $250. Needless to say, I was shocked when I was billed for $356 in labor. I called this morning to inquire and was informed that they charge $97 per hour portal to portal. My complaint is the lack of explanation/disclosure when the initial inquiry was made. I will not use this firm again.
Description of Work: Replace the exhaust fan in our master bath.
