Jim was one of three contractors that gave us estimates on replacing our 20-year-old deck (one story up from our walkout basement). We needed our deck demolished, footers installed and a new deck put in. We were very interested in composite material that would not need staining and metal railings that would need little maintenance. Jim was always prompt and kept the project moving forward. He kept us up-to-date with e-mails as the three-week project went on, letting us know when Sasha and Moses would be there to work and when supplies would be delivered. He apologized when the final bid came in about $4,000 over his initial estimate, although since that was close to the other bids we'd gotten, we stayed with him. Sasha and Moses were great workers, polite and very professional. They obviously took a lot of care in building our deck and my husband has joked that if a tornado hits our house, he thinks the back wall of the house will remain standing because the deck will hold it up. We went from a 20-year-old deck on 4x4 posts in the ground to an absolutely beautiful deck, larger in size and a gorgeous space to entertain and have family meals. We knew every step of the way what was happening, when to expect workers at the house and when supplies would be delivered. We will use them again when we need work done on the house.
