If you are thinking about an above ground pool, there are a few things you should know about this company. They will not pull the permit for the pool. The bobcat will make a mess of your lawn ( it was particularly bad for us because of all the recent rain), I had a landscaper come over afterwards and he estimated it would be between $1-2000 to clean up the mess they left. He said if he did what JTS Recreation did to our lawn, he would be out of business. Along with the mound of sod, (they did not roll it, they just dumped it) they also dumped huge piles of dirt in multiple locations around the pool, killing the lawn and leaving us with an ugly mess. We put up a 24' round pool. I did not realize that it would take almost a week to fill, I thought it would be up and running as soon as it was installed. The water sat untreated for so long by the time it was full we had all kinds of issues. The pool owner then has to set up the ladder as well as get the pump/filter running (you can't turn those on until the pool is full). I called the installer a week ago when we had problems with the pump/ filter installation that they did, but he never returned my call. You will also have to find a company to deliver about 6 tons of sand, so the price they quote leaves a number of additional costs that the homeowner will incur. Now we are having a deck put up around the pool and the carpenter informed me that the pool is not level. That, to me, is one of the most important parts of the install. We also have major wrinkling of the liner. All in all, after having the pool for almost a month now, their work has turned out to be very disappointing, putting it mildly.

When we contacted the contractor about these concerns he said he would come by to check the liner. The pool was examined when we were unavailable, thus not knowing who or how well the inspection was, and then we received word from the contractor saying that everything appeared to be good condition. When we asked to repair the installation mistakes, we were told that we will be charged an additional cost in order for the Perfect Pool Bottom and Pool Liner to be reinstalled correctly. The contractor was not easily accessible nor did he appear to have any remorse for the poor installation. His use of a harsh and demeaning attitude turns us away from using his services again.
