Norblom Plumbing

It was a good experience with Norblom Plumbing. The timing worked out good. They were able to do the job right away. The guy showed up when he was supposed to. It took him 1 1/2 hours to install. Their customer service, and professionalism was very good. I would use them again.

Phoned Norblom on Fri 1/16. They told me to try the original plumber because it may be under warranty. MAC (airport noise abatement) contractors did the work, and I didn't know who they were. Called Norblom again on Mon 1/19. Jim Peterson came out promptly and looked and listened to the water heater and said it would need to be replaced. A vented tanked heater would cost approx $1800. also, I would have to have the glass block guys back in because the outtake vent has to be 4 ft from an open window. The new Navien tankless only has to be 1 foot ,from an open window, plus it is 98% efficient, so it saves a lot on gas. I recieved the proposal on Wed 1/21, phoned and set up for them to come in on Tue. 1/27. They showed up promptly at 7:30am and had the unit working around 2pm. There was a problem with the unit and Jim called his co. and they called Navien and they troubleshot the problem and it turned out the unit malfunctioned, so Navien sent out a new unit. I had to leave for work at 4pm, so I showed Jim how to lock the door and left the check. Came home later the new unit was in, we had hot water, the basement was clean and Jim pulled a dead gas line in my basement while he was waiting. He phoned the next day and asked how it was going and we had had some problems with it. My roommate had taken a shower and during the shower the water had gotten cold, he turned it off and waited a few minutes and turned it back on and it was fine. I was running water for a bath and the water got cold, turned it off, waited a few minutes and it was fine. I felt we should wait a few days before worrying about it. It is working just fine now. And I am saving so much money.

They were outstanding. Estimate was less than competitors and they did the job for what they estimated. They responded quickly on a Friday afternoon to our call. The job was done well and they old water heater was removed. Cleanup was excellent. This company is top-notch in every respect!

Called Monday morning; they were able to fit me in that day. Kris showed up right in the allotted 2 hour time frame. He used an electric snake to quickly clear the shower drain. As he was cleaning up, he noticed a small leak around the toilet base. He tightened the bolts to the floor, and that stopped the seepage. As long as he was here, I asked him to look at a float on another toilet. He adjusted it so it shuts off properly now. I think the price is a bit high, but I was told what the hourly rate was when I called and I didn't have time to really shop around for price. Kris was polite and efficient and he didn't waste any time.

I hired Norblom Plumbing ultimatley to replce my hot water heater. My family and I had set off the hot water heater and went with out hot water for a week. He have a 40 gallon water heater and in the end decided to switch to a tankless heater. We chose Norblom Plumbing because there were not many companies in our area that would provide tankless water heaters as an option. Instead of a tank the water is heated as it runs through the pipes. The heaters are in inline with the water pipes. This company also completed plumbling for us. They also installed a pressure reducer because we had high water pressure. My family and I are very happy with all the quality work performed by this company. I recieved very good value for my dollar. Since then we have had no problems with there work. Great quality work done by Norblom Plumbing.

They were very prompt and good to work with. They arrived within two days of my call. They did a good job and I plan to call them back to give an estimate for some additional work.

These folks were very professional - from the customer service person on the phone (who returned my call promptly and provided the information I needed), to the delivery person, to the plumber. The work was completed the same day I requested it. I will definitely call Norblom for future plumbing needs!

The experience was good. They arranged the removal of the old one and when things didn't go as planned they were very friendly about it. The person didn't show up on time to do the removal, which wasn't a big deal, they were just very cooperative and helpful.

He was pleasant and knowledgeable, but we decided to hold off on the project.

They were the third plumber I called and the only ones able to get a plumber out the same day. They were responsive, identified and fixed the problem and overall did a very nice job.

I needed a new water heater for a rental property. After spending nearly an hour on hold and on the phone with another company, and then being told I would have to wait three more hours in order to get a quote, I got frustrated and called Norblom. They asked a few simple questions, and I had a quote and had the job scheduled for the next day within 10 minutes. The plumber (Paul) arrived and was extremely professional and courteous. He finished the job quickly and even locked up the property when he was finished. I couldn't be happier with the service I received from Norblom and I will definitely use them again.

Everything went great! Jim explained what he needed to do, got to work, kept me posted to let me know when he would be finished, and then cleaned up and even folded the hand towel!

After waiting over one hour for the plumber to arrive, we called the office and were told that the plumber had called in sick and that they (the office staff) did not have us on their schedule and so had not notified us. We know that the plumber had scheduled it with someone by phone. We also know that he wrote the time and date of the next appointment on his service report which was submitted with our payment for the initial appointment. The office rescheduled the appointment for the following morning. We waited 45 minutes and again called the office who told us that they did not realize that the plumber had to report in to pickup specialized equipment before he could go to our house in Plymouth. The plumber completed his work in 2 and 1/4 hours, reduced the labor charge by 10%, and apologized for the inconvenience.

I had Norblom do an estimate two weeks before the installation. I was given a window of 10am-12pm for the plumbers to arrive. I called Norblom at 12:10pm when no one had arrived, and just as I called they showed up. The plumbers were very good about the basement stairs being rickety, they were careful moving out the old heater and getting the new one down there. Otherwise they just kept on working, didn't seem to need any input from me. When they finished after a few hours they went over the new water heater with me, and showed all the new shutoffs they had installed. Finished up paperwork and they were off.

Mark was on time and was a very diligent worker. He kept me informed on what had to be done. We ended up with two small gas leaks and our shut-off valve needed to be updated. Plus our gas line pipe is so old it didn't have a u-joint anywhere, so he had to take each piece of the pipe apart. He was there for 2 1/2 hours and by the look of things, he did a good job.

I discovered my main drain stack was leaking water into the basement. I made an appointment with Norblom and Jim Peterson came out, arriving right on schedule, had a look in the basement, the bathroom and everywhere in between. He correctly anticipated the stack was cracked somewhere in the wall. We made an appointment for the following week. I cut a channel into the wall and ceiling to expose the pipe and found a hairline yard-long crack, which I patched temporarily. The next week Jim returned with a colleague, again arriving right on schedule. We had originally planned to replace the entire drain stack.We chatted over options and agreed to try to remove and replace the cracked length of pipe. They took great care to cut and remove the pipe keeping the joints and rest of the pipe intact. After completion they completely cleaned up. Great experience. Jim and his colleague were honest, open to talking it over with me, and knew exactly what they were doing. They have my highest recommendation.

Did a good job, really liked the plumber.

Very nice plumber who showed me what he was doing. Arrived without snake and had to wait for one. Then the one he got delivered blew a fuse so he had to wait for a second machine. He didn't charge me for wait time.

They came out to fix but it was still draining slowly. I called and they came back at no charge. Drains well now.

Norblom's were able to service us the day after we called. We had broken the pipe on the bathroom sink while trying to unclog it ourselves. The workman was prompt, did a good job.

An outside faucet froze causing the pipe to split.

Jim arrived on time and began working without delay. He is willing to answer questions, and works diligently through the day.

Contractor wrote an estimate in person, one day after being called. They identified required vent and gas valve upgrades in the estimate. Two days later, the new water heater was delivered on time and the contractor arrived on time. The work was done quickly and the contractor took plenty of time to answer questions. He also installed insulation on cold water pipes at no extra charge. The $49 charge for the estimate was applied to the work. I have absolutely no complaints.

Called Norblom in the evening because there was water leaking from my water heater and it was flooding the basement. They had an emergency option on the answering service so I chose that. I had previously turned off the main water, but requested a call that night to help instruct me if I could turn the water off to just the water heater. After two hours, they did not call back so I had to call a handyman to come help me get the water turned off to the water heater. I left another message for Norblom that night that is was no longer an emergency and that to call me in the morning on my cell phone. The next morning it was about a 9:45 and Norblom had still never called my cell phone. I finally called them. They said they left a message at my house. I check and they had called my house at 8:45 AM. The earliest they could come was Monday morning. When I asked about the emergency line, they said it did not get answered until the next business day. This is confusing since if it gets answered during regular business hours, why is it an emergency line. Also, it was misleading on their company profile because it says they do not charge for after hour services, which makes it sound like they do emergency service at night. Called another plumber and they said they could come that afternoon or the owner would come Saturday morning so that I would not have to take off work. Decided to choose that plumber rather than Norblom.
