Norblom Plumbing

I have had 2 experiences with Norblom Plumbing and they both have been great. Communication and professionalism first rate. The work done in both instances exceeded my expectations.

Darrin came within an hour of my call on Friday afternoon, was very skilled and professional. He accurately diagnosed the problems (dishwasher drain hose leaking, garbage disposer not working, no hot water pressure in kitchen due to old fixture, and slow, improper drain). Darrin replaced the disposer and replaced the drain to code, and recommended that we buy a new fixture for the kitchen sink and a drain hose for the dishwasher. Chris installed the dishwasher hose and fixture the following Monday morning, again coming an hour after my call telling them that we had purchased the parts. They were very neat and clean with the repairs, took all of the old parts with them, and were good with our dog. We will definitely use Norblom in the future and ask for Darrin or Chris.

Norblom was responsive and professional (easy to get in touch, schedule and they were on time). I considered doing this job myself, wasn't sure if I absolutely had to change out the tub/shower fixture or possibly repair but the plumber from Norblom was able to confirm that the entire fixture needed to be replaced. He was good at listening to what I had to say and built my trust very quickly. The charge for visit was $85 after 10% Angie's list discount. He gave me a quote for parts and labor of $730. The cost included 3hrs labor + $285 for fixture and remodel plate but I agreed to open an access hole in the plaster wall. The fixture they recommended was a 1 handle faucet that didn't match our existing bathroom fixtures and classic look so we decided to order our own fixture. I opened up the wall, removed the bracing and removed the old fixture completely. The same Norblom plumber came back to install and I also asked him to change out the hot water shutoff valve which I had noticed was not fully closing. He completed the work in 2 hrs, 20 minutes. In the end, I was charged $443 which was the amount listed for 3 hours labor. I inquired about why it wasn't 2 1/4 or 2 1/2 hours but the Norblom plumber suggested that he threw in the shutoff valve and it was about the same anyway. I felt a little disappointed that my extra work of removing the old fixture/bracing did not save me at least 15-30 minutes of labor. I was also surprised that the plumber didn't replace the bracing behind the valve but I trusted his judgement and guarantee that the fixture was secure. Overall, I was very happy with Norblom plumbing and their completed work.

I sent in a request for service on a weekend and received a response on Monday. I scheduled service in about a week after receiving a quote of $188 for a 3/4 garbage disposal to replace one I had which was leaking. The technician was to arrive from 7:30 to 8:00, but didn't arrive until after 8:30. When I called the office, they mentioned that he needed to return to the shop for some parts. Once he arrived, he quickly removed and installed the new garbage disposal, as well as replaced a damaged drain pipe which went from the disposal to the main drain. I had been dealing with minor leaking for over a year and now the area under my sink is dry. I was charged about $15 for parts for the drain and for 30 minutes of labor. The total time he was onsite was about 45 minutes. The disposal appears to be of excellent quality and is much quieter than the previous model.

I called Monday around 8:30 am and they were able to come out that afternoon. They gave me a 2 hour window between 12-2pm and showed up around 1pm. I was very impressed with the responsiveness and while I was unable to be home, I had my Mom meet the guys at my house. She had nothing but rave reviews. The guy was very friendly and did a great job explaining things. Luckily there was not a leak from the 2nd floor and the plumber said he'd have to open the ceiling to check out where the stain was coming from and since they would not repair the ceiling once open, I'm going to hold off on that service for now. He did give a good tip on how to check if the stain is a 1 time issue or re-occurring! He also fixed the sinks and made my Mom laugh in the process. The service was a bit pricey for 1 hour of work, but I've always been shocked at plumbers fees.

The service went fine and they did a good job. They were promptly here at the beginning of the window of time. The installer was efficient and explained exactly what he did when he finished. He gave us information on the new water heater as well.

We had used them before. They did an excellent job, but we felt that it was overpriced. The bill made our hair curl. The last two times we have used someone else.

I chose them because of the recommendations on Angie?s List and they were great.

He was right on time and really friendly and clean. It was a good experience and we will use him again. The price was a little high.

I was happy with the services from Norblom from the moment Steve arrived to provide an estimate. He spent a good 45 minutes looking at everything, taking measurements and answering all my questions. He responded to every phone message I left him within a reasonable amount of time and was able to schedule our job within two days of making our decision to use their services. Kurt showed up a ? hour early that day to start the work, which had me a little frazzled, but we it all worked out fine. He finished the job in less than 8 hours and left everything the way he found it. We love the full, strong water pressure we have now. Norblom will be the plumbing service I call for any future needs - they were great all around.

We had leaking behind the bathtub, which was coming from the faucet. There are two companies I call for plumbing, both of which I have found from Angies List and have been using for awhile. I called Norblom first, but they were unable to come out the same day. So then I called the other one. That company told us that the faucet was no long usable, that we would need a new faucet, up to code, blah, blah, blah, and that it would cost over $600 total to fix it. We didn't like that answer, so we called Norblom. Andy came over and told us we didn't need a new faucet, and was able to just fix the old one just fine. Now it works great. The moral of the story is that Norblom is worth the initial wait to come out and has integrity. We will work exclusively with Norblom now as long as possible.

Our water heater was leaking. We discovered it Saturday night, e-mailed the company on Sunday, had a call back on Monday early AM and a new was installed by the end of the day Monday. My husband handled it all from work. When we returned home there was not any sign of work having been done, except there was a new, fully installed and functional water heater. No mess at all!!! This was the best experience I ever had with plumbing. Wonderful!

Great. They literally arrived at the house within an hour of our call and had things wrapped up in less than 30 minutes. This is not unusual for them. They do great work and explain what they're doing very well.

They didn't do a bad job as far as cleaning, and that is always something that we like. The heater is working fine. Their charges included the price of the water heater. Their price was comparable to anywhere else that we checked. It was a pretty common price. I would really use them again.

The guy that did the work was very easy to work with and they cleaned up nicely every time they came. They didn't make any mistakes and it was all good. We are very happy with the work. They had the best bid and we thought the price was fair. I don't think we could have done better on the price. We chose most of the product.
