I didn?t go with them because I thought they were a little expensive

The bidding process was smooth, and they were willing to negotiate. They were fast and efficient. They are pleasant to work with.

It went amazingly well. We work up to find our toilet leaking. We have our house on the market and had 2 showings later that day. Norblum came out the same day and left the house as if they hadn't even been there. They were quick, clean and extremely helpful.

Mark was friendly and professional. He did not have the part needed to fix our drain stop assembly. He gave me my options and we went with him temporarily fixing it until he could get his hands on the part at which time he would come back out and replace it. After two weeks, and I had not heard from them, I called Norblom. They looked into it and stated that the part had just arrived and Mark came out the next day.

Kurt showed up promptly, actually a few minutes early, to pull out the old water heater and install a new one. I had mentioned that I was not sure that I had chimney liners as required by code. As it turns out, I did have liners; I was impressed to see another crew also drive up in case this work needed to be done. The work was done promptly and efficiently with no mess left behind. I will be glad to use Norblom again when my second old water heater goes out (this is a duplex).

The price was a little bit above the quote because they had to replace a vent cord. It only took them a couple hours.

Our experience was fine but the price went up after the estimate.

It started with a clogged drain for my tub. I tried to fix it myself and noticed the drain pipe in the basement was leaking from a hole in it. They came out same day I called and replace about a 2 foot section and was done. That was $200 of the $1100. 2 weeks later the drain clogged again. Now all of the drain pipe needed to be replaced. I called to make an appointment and stated that they where out a couple of weeks ago to replace a section of drain and now it is clogged again and the rest of the drain pipe needed to be replaced. They came by the same day late in the afternoon but the plumber thought he was there to unclog a drain. So they sent an estimator out the next day to quote drain replacement. They set an appointment to do the work 4 days later, came by and finished the job. It was a tough job due to difficuult access to the pipes that needed replacement. Overall I feel they did an good job. I would use them again.

I called Norblom to make a same day visit when I discovered that water was coming through the ceiling when the shower was on. The plumber arrived within the window I had been given (but just barely). He determined that the problem was not actually a plumbing problem, but a caulking problem; he did not perform any work, the fee was the minimum trip fee. While I don't have reason to suspect that he was a bad plumber, he was rude and unpleasant to have in my home. He diagnosed the problem quickly and we still had a few minutes of time left before the fee would go up, so I asked him a few questions about work I was thinking about doing. He was dismissive of my ideas, and did not seem to really listen to me. I would not call Norblom again.

Posted a query on their website and received a call the next morning to schedule a visit. Steve Morse was able to come out later that afternoon to assess the situation. He was right on time and very professional. As promised he provided competitive quotes on three options, replacing my water heater with the same type, replacing with a high efficiency tank water heater, and replacing it with a hybrid HE tankless water heater. Although the quotes were competitive, I went with another contractor who was slightly less expensive but rated just as high by AL members.

Service was excellent, from courteous & prompt scheduling, arrived on time, explained situation & how he intended to proceed, performed work quickly, cleaned up thoroughly.

Chose this company because I suspected it would be a 15 minute job and they charged $94 for the first half hour vs. other quotes I got of $105, $110, or $115 for an hour. Not a huge difference, but I just hate that I would be charged for an hour for 15 minutes of work. They were scheduled to come between 1pm and 3pm (I called at 11am) and came at 1pm on the nose which was great! Out the door by 1:12pm and I'm super relieved to have working drains again!

I left a message Sunday when I discovered my water heater was leaking (it was not an emergency, as I could turn off hot water). They returned the call right away Monday morning, and sent over a plumber to give me an estimate. He was knowledgeable about options, listening to my concerns. Once I chose a water heater, he was able to have it delivered promptly and began work right away. It took about 3 hours all together. He was efficient and careful.

Arrived on time. Explained the problems and causes. Completed job very efficiently. Was professional. Made suggestions as to future prevention. I would highly recommend Norblum.

I broke my kitchen faucet on a Monday night and by Tuesday morning at 10am, I had my new faucet installed! I had already gone to Menards and purchased the new faucet. I called Norblom and Darrin was at my building about an hour later! Great, fast service.

Excellent. The plumber was a few minutes late (first appointment of the day, 8 a.m.), but was quick from start to finish.

I called at around 9:30 AM. Estimated time arrival was 10:30 to 12:30. Jim arrived at 11:49. He assessed the problem and told me what he would be doing. He showed me the section of the pipe he had cut out and I could see the tiny hole. He was finished in a short time and straightened the work side. Jim was very personable and I enjoyed having him work for me.

The most troublesome problem and why we called a plumber because we had a leak somewhere in the kitchen sink. We discovered this leak on Saturday, I checked Angie's list, and called Norblom Plumbing based on their high ratings on Monday at 7:45, and they made an appointment for 9 - 11:00. I said I needed an experience plumber, and they sent Jim, a plumber with 11 years experience. He appeared at 9:30 and worked efficiently to repair the leak and help me with the other problems. I was impressed especially with two things: First, he needed a part, and his company delivered it promptly so that it didn't make it necessary for him to prolong his stay and spend time going to get the part. Second, he explained to me how to do something that he was willing to do, but said that I could do it myself for less money. He explained all of the problems to me, was careful and friendly, and left me with no mess to clean up. All in all a first-rate job. I'll call them again and recommend them to others.

Chris was our service person and did an outstanding job. They only gave us a two hour window for arrival, but showed up within the first half-hour. He listened to all of the problems we had and went to work. He spent two and a half hours working on all of the things we needed and did a great job, including cleaning up wherever he worked. The only thing that didn't work right away was the circle around the drain, which still allowed water down the drain even if it was closed. They came back right away, making the arrival time the first in the morning, at 7:30, to allow me not to miss any work. I was very happy with the experience.

Their plumber was excellent, but I was annoyed that the company didn't inform me of their limitations from the get-go after I explained the problem to their customer service rep. We had a complication--our basement is finished--and he couldn't access the basement drain, but even without that barrier a plumbing company is more expensive and less equipped to handle a problem of this nature than a drain cleaning service. Lesson learned.

As always, Norblom was quick, courteous, and responsive. Very happy with the end result.

He did a great job. He even climbed in the attic to see if water was coming down the vent pipes to the shower. It was very helpful that they checked into the leak. He determined that it was the tile that was leaking, not the plumbing or the drain. It was then fixed on a warranty with another contractor. They even gave me a discount for being an Angie's List member.

The plumber came on time. After reviewing our existing plumbing, the job was actually more complicated than I thought, but the plumber had a real can-do attitude and figured out how to make it work for the lowest cost. The guy we had was a real professional, communicated very clearly, and was very friendly. Although the company charges more than other places by the hour, I think I probably paid less because he figured out the cheapest, most efficient way to do a job that was more complicated than he was expecting.

Our bathtub/shower drain had become very clogged. I had tried all sort of Drano/Liquid Plumber/etc. on the pipes with no success. The clog was deep enough where the bathroom sink would back up into the bathtub. It wasn't pretty. I called Norblom at 8:00am in the morning on a Tuesday to set an appointment. They had an available appointment for that afternoon between 1:00 and 4:00pm. Todd called just before 1:00pm to tell us he was near and arrived just after 1:00pm. He went right to work and had our drain unclogged within a half hour. He presented us with the invoice and the 10% labor discount for being an Angie's List member. We asked him about the tankless water heaters, and he advised us on several options. He also took a moment to go look at our current water heater and told us what to look for since ours is on borrowed time (10+ years). He wasn't trying to upsell us or get us to try to replace it before it needed to be replaced. We really appreciated his honest advice We were very pleased with Todd and with Norblom and will definitely use them again in the future..

Laundry tub would not drain, repairman quoted price before arriving, was punctual, professional. Was able to get drain working by removing tree roots. Suggested following up with a plumbing company that specializes in tree root problems, to understand why this happened and prevent future problems. Gave good advice.
