They were very responsive when I called, and got me scheduled quickly. The plumber was courteous and seemed very skilled. When he explained what he had to do, the amount of time billed was not excessive. I gave a B on price just because plumbing repairs will always seem too expensive to me, but this plumber's charges seemed in line with the industry average.

Went great. Jim explained each step of his repairs and continued to suggest ways to save. For instance, he pointed out that as the house is not occupied during restoration, I should turn down the water heater to save energy...something I can't believe I didn't think of! I will absolutely call Jim in the future. Super nice guy!

The company was professional and prompt. Despite the extreme heat in the attic, the work was done quickly and well. He was able to work at the same time as other contractors in the house without any problems.

Jim from Norblom was able to isolate the broken part on the kitchen faucet and talk the Delta customer service rep through finding the part number (because it was not even listed in the manual!) - his help in this was essential because he knew how to describe it meaningfully to the rep. Overall, I am again impressed with the level of knowledge and professionalism at Norblom. Both visits were punctual, super courteous, and most of all - done well. I have worked with several plumbers over the years, and Norblom is now my preferred company.

They gave me seven percent off because I’m an Angie’s list member. One thing that really stood out to me was, I called at seven thirty in the morning and they had someone there to help me which is very important to me. They were timely, light, neat and clean. They also take requests for different plumbers like I get a plumber named Jim and he kind of specializes in really old houses; and I have a really old house. He told me that they have different people that do different things well. He’s the person that they send out to the really old houses and I appreciate that. It’s nice to see a familiar face come around. They were great. I will use their services again in the future.

Our plumber was punctual, professional, and friendly. He prepared us for the worst. He came back on a second day, after a carpenter removed the ceiling in the apartment below, to provide the plumber access. Scott, the plumber, then came back. He was transparent at every step, letting us know he might have to remove even more ceiling if there were more leaks -- worst case scenario. The good news was: the job ended up being the best of all scenarios. He got the job done quickly and passed along the savings. We used an Angie's list coupon and saved a bundle. We highly recommend Norblom.

Mike was very helpful in discussing the options for water heater models with me over the phone. I wanted the most energy efficient model that had a storage tank. Mike was helpful in getting some details on the model I had in mind and discussed the pro's and con's with me. He also verified that his supplier had the model in stock. When I decided to proceed, Mike scheduled the work for the next day. Kurt installed the heater without any problems in under two hours time.

We're first-time homeowners, so when water started dripping from the ceiling in our finished basement I freaked! A family member had used Norblom before and recommended them. Experience was excellent from start to finish. Office staff who took my initial call was friendly and helpful, scheduling was easy and Andrew came out to do a full estimate. We scheduled the actual work at our convenience, and it was performed exactly was promised, exactly to the estimate. No weird extras, upselling or creepy-repair-man-ness. Andrew was awesome, professional, answered all of my (many) questions. You can pay by credit card right at the time of service. We won't hesitate to use them in the future! We've found "our" plumber!

It was good. They did quite well. The individual was very helpful. They gave me some ideas on some renovation work that I'm going to do. He showed up right on time. I will use them again.

We called Norblom on a Tuesday with three separate plumbing needs: replacing a toilet, repairing another toilet, and replacing a kitchen sink faucett. The man I talked to was very helpful in asking questions to find out exactly what we needed and what the problem with the malfunctioning toilet might be. And even though it was difficult to say he gave us a very accurate estimate of all the different work we needed. A plumber was out to our home the next morning. He was very professional, friendly and to the point. He even showed up a little early after calling us to make sure that was all right. The company charges by the hour and our plumber wasted no time. He was done with all of it within two hours! We would definitely call this company again. We feel that we recieved very good work for a very reasonable price.

The plumber arrived during the time range that was quoted. He was done in less than 1 hour, which was the amount of time quoted to finish this type of job. He cleaned up after he was done. The old unit presented a challenge as part of the collar on the old unit had rusted. But, the plumber was able to get it off.

Norblom installed a hybrid Eternal water heater. I checked two other plumbers besides Norblom. Norblom gave me the lowest estimate for the same product. This was not an emergency situation, First, the salesman (Steve) was the only person who wanted to visit the home to make the estimate. He highly recommended the Eternal water heater as a highly efficient and highly reliable product. He checked out all the existing gas infrastructure and answered all my questions. He was very knowledgeable about the product. I got the estimate in December, but didn't do the project until June. The estimated cost was still valid, including an Angie's List discount. The installation was an all-day project. The installer (Darrin) worked straight through (took no lunch) and did a very good job, including clean up. I had also asked that some plumbing pipes be replaced while he was here on the premises. He fixed a couple other things besides the water heater, and gave me some good advice about another project that couldn't be done that day, as it required more time than he would have that day. He was very professional and accommodating. So far, I am very happy with the water heater. I did need to add an electrical outlet near the water heater, and contracted another electrician to do that work prior to Norblom coming. Norblom's estimate for adding one electrical outlet was very high (they admitted it - it would have been another subcontractor), and it was much less expensive to get my own electrician to do this work. I applied for an Xcel rebate for the water heater and Norblom helped me with that as well. I will definitely call this company to do the other plumbing project that requires more time.

I called a number of places and they were able and available on short notice. They were respectful to the house and laid down rugs to keep things clean. They assessed the situation gave a fair synopsis and started work right away. When it was discovered that the initial plan would't work based on the aging appliance, a call and discussion took place that was informative about my options. After as short discussion work was restarted and they finished up about an hour later than previously hoped. They cleaned up the bathroom nicely and double checked their work to ensure the leak had been resolved.

Clean, focused, friendly but didn't dilly dally. Suggested securing a pedistal sink with DAP. Sounded good. Would use again. Completed tasks on time and within estimates.

I called several places for quotes to replace the water heater and Norblom was the most professional and cost competitive. They responded quickly to my request and were able to answer my questions on the new model. The service tech who came to do the work was knowledgeable and quickly reviewed with me the other changes required to make the installation code compliant. I would use them again.

They arrived on time, but did not check their work when done. So a leak started that I caught after they left. Called back. They fixed a different problem, but the leak still persists. Called back again and no response.

He worked efficiently and cleaned up after he was done.

7:58 am (time that Jime wrote in on his work sheet). Whether it was 2 min. before or after eight I could not tell you. Prompt is what I said when I opened the door. At this point, I wasn't aware that I should have been using a stop watch!! I called on 3 small repair items as stated above. Jim asked for my signature on the work sheet and told me he could not enter a depart time until he got out to the truck and run my credit card thru. Left my house at 8:46 (he agreed that was correct when he returned the next day) I watched him sit in his truck for so long that I wondered why he wasn't leaving. I then looked at my clock and it was over 8 more minutes before he left the driveway . At this point I looked more closely at his work sheet and saw that I was charged for a full hour - ($97.00 for first half hour) and 2 additional quarter hours at $40.00 each) Total of $159.30 after a 10% Angies List discount. His arrival time as stated gives him 2 minutes and leaving my house at 8:46 adds another minute - so I feel I was charged for the time he spent sitting in my driveway . I'm a senior citizen and have used credit cards for over 55 years and this is the first time I've been told it was going to cost me money to run the credit card thru! The next morning while showering, I saw that the leak in the shower hose was now twice as bad as it was before the "service call". I called the office and talked to Amy and she said she'd have Jim call me because he was in my area. I also asked her to have the manager call me so I could discuss the charges with him. Jim called - said there would be no charge and stopped by. He added some tape to the connection but still didn't replace the gasket. I told him my feelings about the charges and was told that even one minute into the next quarter hour added $40.00. I questioned the 10 min. in the driveway and was told he was talking to the office . I told him my report to Angie's List would be a negative one. Jim then asked what they could do to make me a satisfied customer. I asked what he could do for me. He offered to return when the parts came from Kohler and put them in the kitchen faucet. I thanked him and said I'd be able to work with their schedule for that. He went on to say that to be sure we were on the "same page" he'd give me a quarter hour credit and clock it from when he arrived at my house. I then said I wasn't comfortable in accepting that proposal as it seemed intimidating and downright threatening as we both know he could always extend his time one minute over the quarter hour. To be sure "we were on the same page", I asked if he went over one minute would that add another $40.00 and he said it would add $97.00 because it would be the first half hour on the job. I asked him to have his manager call me and he left. Two requests for a call from the manager to two different employees and two days have passed without a phone call.

I called up and described the leaking faucet issue. They stated they had a cancellation today and could be here in an hour. Darrin around about an hour later, took apart the faucet to determine if the whole thing would need to be replaced or just the cartridge. He showed me the part that was failing and promptly replaced the cartridge. The only issue was part of the previous faucet had issues so he had to use multiple parts from a new kit which he explained and left the rest of the kit in case I wanted to install it. He also showed gave me the old parts and explained what to do to get spares in case I needed them. He also explained that the issue appears to have been due to hard water and I may want to get a water softener at some point to slow down the wear and tear on the faucets. Overall very satisfied.

He came out roughly the time specified to perform just an estimate (10 mins late but likely due to traffic, it was a bad weather day so no worries) and was quick to identify what was needed and explain it to me without overselling or trying to add on "extras". He explained the time it would take and parts needed to give me a proper estimate. The price was roughly what another plumber quoted but a bit cheaper so I decided at that time to let them perform the work. He had everythng he needed so did not have to leave he got started right away. I left him to work as I had to go to work myself. I gave him a credit card which he said would not be charged until the work was finished and he contacted me. Two hours later then he called and gave me the total. As he was done earlier than thought it turned out to be $100+ cheaper than originally quoted which was certainly a nice extra. When I got home and saw the work, it looks very nice and everything works great. He nicely mounted the dishwasher so it looks great in its spot and is secure. We are quite happy with the work performed.

Norblom Plumbing installed a "tankless" water heater for our home. They told us that we would get a $1500 rebate for the water heater that they sold us. But that was not the case, since the "tankless" water heater that they sold us did not qualify for the rebate program. When they installed the water heater, the technician did not clean up after himself. He left the old copper tubing down in the basement, and sharp metal pieces all over the floor. He also did a poor job of welding and we had a gas leak, which when I called Norblom to report the problem on their emergency line, it took them over 12 hours to get back to me about getting someone out to look at the problem. Of course, by then CenterPoint had been out to the house to say that there was a leak, and the welding was bad. Norblom did fix the welding job after that. I then noticed that I had the sharp metal shavings coming through my water system into the tubs when my kids wanted to take baths. Norblom said that it should take a week or two for the system to flush it out. Frankly, a good technician/plumber would have NEVER gotten the metal shavings into the tank in the first place!!! This company cost us money up front and also during the process, by the fact that we had to miss work to stay home and be available for them to correct their mistakes. I did business with this company based on these reviews, I would never recommend them to anyone, and will never do business with this company again.

Very positive experience - Jim was prompt and professional. He worked quickly and efficiently to figure out the problem. He was conscious of our budget and kept my bathroom very clean. I will call Norblom Plumbing in the future if we have any issues.

I have an older home and they looked at me and said they could not help. I was willing to pay for the job but they did not want to do it.

Short version - Real good work. Excellent workers. On time and cleaned up. Longer Version - Norblom replaced all the drain water and sanitary waste piping from basement floor to out the roof in the two bathrooms of my duplex. Massive amounts of cast iron pipe, galvanized pipe, and wall plaster were removed from the building and it all just disappeared. The new PVC drain systems works so well in the lavs and tubs that we need to be careful we do not get sucked down! The workmen were on time, considerate, and excellent craftsman - old buildings can be an adventure to work on. The estimated cost was exactly what I paid.
