Norblom Plumbing

All went well. We had cleaned out the area under the sink so he could get at it. Pretty much uneventful.

Told me what I could do myself, saved lots of money because of that. Showed me some important things about where the water supply was and how to turn off so I could finished the job with just his consultation fee and not extra for him going to the store and installing a part. I was close to fixing it on my own, but also could of done water damage with out his help, so way worth it.

The deal that purchased have a good value. They did the job, but there's been an issue. They have to comeback to fix that small issue, but they charge me $100 for that.

Very punctual, personable and professional plumber showed up, completed the work in just a couple of hours. No mess, had to cut through some of the wall and kept that cut as clean and small as possible.

The plumber arrived on time (early actually) and was flexible in working with a non-standard installation.

Once he was able to come over, he looked at the plumbing and couldn't entirely tell me what was wrong. He said he could guess what was wrong, but did not want to take apart the water softener plumbing to try to figure it out. He recommended that I buy a couple different parts on my own. So, I paid $90 for 5 minutes of his time.

Quite well. Didn't take very long. Satisfied with work.

There were several issues with the service: 1. It was costly. 2. They are not allowed to run over for time, so we had to schedule another 45-minute session for the work on the refridgerator 3. The copper line ran for the refrigerator did not have any coil to allow for "springing" when pulling the fridge in-and-out. 4. The plumber couldn't attach the waterline to the fridge. He determined that the threads were slipping on the fridge connector. As the last person to have personally tightened and/or loosened that connection, I can tell you it was water-tight before he touched it. Not being an expert, I can't tell you for sure that it wasn't me that damaged it the last time I loosened it, but I believe that scenario is unlikely. 5. The show drain still drains slowly. The plumber's suggestion to us was to remove the standard screen that is part of the tub. Not an expert, but the screen didn't seem any different from any other standard hair-trap-type screen, so it is hard to understand why this drain would be special. 6. We had several tiles from underneath the tub that were lying loose on the floor after the work was done on the drain. The plumber didn't note this or claim responsibility, but on this one I am *sure* they weren't off from where they were fastened prior to the work. Once again, maybe not his fault. Maybe they were shoddily installed. But to not even tell us about what happened (or to not notice it had happened as you were cleaning your work area) is a problem.

The drain cleaner came and took care of both drains for the price of one, running a snake down the drain and clearing out hair, etc. When one of the drains began backing up again a few days later, he returned and snaked the drain again, this time finding an object that's acting like a butterfly cap and occasionally causing problems in the drainpipe. He wasn't able to retrieve the object without cutting through the pipes, but he did make detailed notes about where the object is most likely lodged, both showing me in our basement plumbing and taking a picture of the problem area for our file in case we ever do need to cut the pipes to remove the object. The charge for the second visit was discounted. It was nice to have the explanation for what's going wrong once and for all!

They replaced it and cleaned up afterwards.

It went very well. Because it wasn't an emergency it was about a week before a technician could come out. This wasn't a problem.

Plumber started out by turning on the water shut off while one hose was disconnected so sprayed water in laundry room. He didn't examine the hose attachments at the shutoff to find out which was cold and which was hot and didn't read steam dryer installation instructions and ended up putting the hot water hose on the dryer when it should have been cold. When I called to ask to have him return to correct error, he insisted I pay for extra trip for him to switch hoses. After work was done, I called and asked for refund of extra charge. Manager told me it sounded to him like plumber did a professional job. That it was the fault of whoever installed the washing machine that the hose attachment was wrong. (If the plumber had checked, he would have found that the hot and cold are reversed on this shut off valve.) He said he would check with plumber and get back to me. Never heard back. Will not use Norbloom again.

Nothing as complicated or time consuming as I feared. Did the repairs as needed without trying to sell me any replacement equipment, which I sometimes find other companies are eager to do.

I just bought my house and noticed the kitchen sink was draining slow. I went under the sink to investigate and found that the drain pipe was totally rotted out. The next morning I called Norblom and they had a plumber out in 30 minutes. He recommended replacing the pipe with new PVC, got that done quickly, and then called another Norblom employee to come clean the drain vent and floor drain. Sink now drains fine and I don't have a rotting lead pipe in my basement. The work was done well and both employees were friendly, professional, and cleaned up after themselves.

I called thinking it would be maybe a couple of days or a week before they could get out. I don’t know where you are, but around three weeks ago there was that huge storm up here in Minnesota. In Coon Rapids, it left a foot and a half of hail. I live right across the river from Coon Rapids so we got clipped by the storm. So, the fact that everything is about 3 weeks ago is because all these people had to come in and I called Norblom and they just had a cancellation in my area and they were able to come out right away. We’ve had many dealings with them. It was one worker that came out to complete the job. He was very nice, very professional and he actually called the price of the part that he was replacing. He actually took the time to explain, and he didn’t try to upsell me for more than I actually needed which is amazing. Their like all you need is this thing. Anything extra will just rack up the cost and you won’t notice any difference. You get this part and it will do the job, you won’t hear it. It will be perfect.

That was a murphy type of situation that we had with them, where basically everything that could go wrong did go wrong with that project. First, the pipes where we were putting it were too small and then there was no room to put the pipes. There was no vent so they had actually had to drill a new vent to go through the roof, but where they wanted to put the vent there was actually a major support beam in the way, and I don’t remember much else besides that for that project. But they got it done. They got it done nice and it’s very hard to tell that they did it. It looks like it was always there. There was 5 people for that project. It was more expensive than we were anticipating but for what they did, we got our money’s worth. Everything that could go wrong did go wrong and they were here to fix it. They took great pride in their work.

The plumber reviewed the piping with me and we decided that the old cast tee was probably corroded and was causing a restriction in flow. In several spots on the steel connecting pipes were signs of corrosion and leaking. He replaced the steel parts with plastic and the flow is much better.

They arrived early. Did the work well, and gave me a decent price (before the discount I got) I've used Norblom many times over the last four years (I have four rentals). From the get-go they were committed to quality. Most jobs were perfect, and with the couple that weren't, they've always made it right. Excellent, friendly service.

They did a great job. Came the day after I called, and was done quickly. Very clean. Great deal!

From start to finish a great a good experience. I received an immediate response on Angie's list and included an approximate cost based on my description of the problem. NOTE: I received an approximate cost from another vendor and it was twice the cost. A date was scheduled within a week of the outreach. Brian came out to the house and couldn't be more professional and helpful. He describe the best case and worse case scenario. Luckily for us, we ended up with the best case.

Replacement took less than one hour. Mike showed up on time and left no mess. I'd hire them again for any plumbing needs.

Punctual, professional, did work quicker than estimated. No service call charge and charging in increments of 15 minutes was a nice touch that saved money, especially as my job went only 15 minutes into the second hour. Plumber shared useful information about the operation of the new garbage disposal. I would hire again.

Norblom was honest, thorough, and reasonable in price.

Fantastic. Had purchased a Deal for water heater replacement, but the unit that came with the deal was smaller than the existing. The rep called me to let me know and I asked if we could upgrade it to the appropriate size and he said it was no problem for an additional cost which was obviously fine for me. Also had asked that they check for a leak from the master tub and they verified nothing was wrong and didn't bother to charge me as it took 5 minutes. Very helpful start to finish, even when they encountered an issue they communicated well and gave me options. Would definitely work with Norblom again.

Overall it went well. I went with their recommendation on the brand of heater to install. Because of the electrical requirements, it was necessary for me to have an electrician (from a different company) upgrade my electrical connections. I did have to call the company back since they forgot to call the city inspector (company paid for inspection) to check it out. The heater is very well insulated, and after several months I have been pleased with the water heater.
